The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate spatial orientation in the patients after vestibular schwannoma surgery. In the theoretical part, there are summarized the facts about vestibular system; there is described the clinical picture of unilateral vestibular dysfunction and the field of vestibular schwannoma and spatial orientation in general. In the practical part, we performed the investigation of the spatial orientation using the Blue Velvet Arena System and posturography using the platform Balance Master® System. The purpose of the practical part was to find out, whether unilateral vestibular dysfunction in patients after vestibular schwannoma surgery has the impact on spatial orientation and to what extent is the postural stability influenced in patients identified for surgery and in patients after vestibular schwannoma surgery. Somatognostické funkce a prostorová paměť u pacientů s FBSS / Somatognostic functions and spatial memory in patients with failled back surgery syndrome

Aim: The aim of this thesis is both evaluate a somatognosis quality and consider rate of personality dimensions in patients with FBSS. Methods: 30 patients with FBSS and 25 probands of healthy control group were examinated in laboratory of spatial cognition called Blue Velvet Arena. They underwent spatial navigation task and body scheme tests. We made comparative analysis of these measurements between groups. We evaluated personality dimensions in patients group, by using NEO personality inventory and Petrie test. Finally we consider relationships of these variables and another related factors. Results: Signicant difference between patient's group and control group was found both in spatial navigation task and body scheme tests. In spatial navigation task control group had lower results compared to the patient's group. In body scheme tests was found reverse results. We found high correlation of body scheme with age, pain duration and activity level. There was high percentage of underestimating probands and probands with high score of conscientiousness. Error rate (judgement out of tolerance zone) was higher in patient's group compared to the control group. It describes the character of the institutional care in the Czech Republic. The thesis is focused on the form of professional help to the young people, who are about to leave their children's home and thus entering an adult life. The main goal of the thesis is to present and describe a project, that project aims to work with the young people in the children's home, who are preparing to leave this facility. The aim of the project is to facilitate specific communication between the young people and the staff of the children's home to talk to each other about the topic of leaving. During the implementation were used observational, activating and an interviewing methods. The sample of respondents consisted of adolescents aged 15-18 years. Title: Methodological process of teaching orienteering during course of touristic and outdoor sports on UK FTVS Target: The target of this thesis was inovation of methodical manual for teaching orienteering during course of touristic and outdoor sports on UK FTVS. The pilot project was also verified in practice on several courses. Methods: Expert survey of pilot version, which has been tested on nearly 280 students. Questionary survey for teachers and external co-workers from department of outdoor sports. Interview and literature review in the compilation of methodical manual. Results: Inovated methodical manual for teaching orienteering during course of touristic and outdoor sports. Teaching was changed especially in the begining of teaching orientation, where practical excercises were included to learn basic skills such as map orientation, keeping direction of the approach, selection of approach and distance estimation. A great benefit is a use of an electronic system SPORTident, which not only enriches the practice, but also provides high-quality data for back analysis of a training or a race. The paper is a review of contemporary theoretical and curricular approaches to sexual minorities in education. It analyses the curricula documents, the theoretical bases of access to (sexual) minorities in education in the Czech Republic and relevant documents available in English-speaking countries on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender-related (LGBT). Document analysis was performed using the "snowball" method. The aim is to analyse the situation in the Czech Republic and compare it with results from abroad, then there are the proposed recommendations for the curriculum revision. The conclusion brings a list of materials and their contents in the Czech Republic and a comparison with foreign materials written in English. Škála sociální orientace v Tématicko-apercepčním testu / Social Orientation Scale in Thematic Apperception Test

This thesis deals with a possibility of measuring levels of social skills using the Social Orientation Scale (SOS) in stories made up with the Thematic Apperception Test. In the theoretical part we introduce the Thematic Apperception Test, the scoring systems used to interpret it and the Social Orientation Scale of Goldmann and Soukupová. This part also introduces the concept of social competence, describe the characteristics of an adolescence development stage and specifics of youth detention centers, their clients and a problematic behavior observed at most of them. In the empirical part we compare two groups of adolescents, each consisting of 30 probands. The first group was made up by girls and boys currently undergoing a diagnostic stay in youth detention centers, while the second group consisted of their same-age peers from an ordinary population. To obtain the basic characteristics of the subjects under test, we employ semi-structured anamnestic interview. Furthermore, the Thematic Apperception Test is evaluated using the Social Orientation Scale and the results thereof are statistically analysed. The diploma thesis deals with the topic of measuring society-wide values according to the theory and method designed by Shalom Schwartz. The concept of values and its place in sociology is introduced, the development of Schwartz' theory and method is outlined and its varieties presented. Using the Portrait Value Survey Method, which is based on the data from the European Social Survey, the values of the Czech society are measured. This is carried out by the means of correlation and regression analyses of ten basic values with chosen descriptive variables - age, gender, education and political orientation. The results of the study does not show any significant deviations from the anticipated outcome, the values are quite traditional especially in connection with the gender and age differentiation. The values of individuals change in time and are dependent on the above mentioned factors.

Školská motivácia rómskych žiakov / School motivation of the Gypsy learners

The aim of the thesis was to analyze and to confirm or to contradict short-term orientation of the Gypsies and through realized research to offer the representation of school motivation of the Gypsy learners. The thesis is divided to four chapters. It contains 2 pictures, 1 map, 2 charts, 30 graphs and 3 supplements. The first chapter contains clarification of theoretical basics of the motivation. In the second chapter the perspective orientation is characterized; its theoretical starting points, characteristics and components. The third chapter deals with Gypsy ethnic-group society and represents the basic view about its history, Gypsy family, education development and about actual level of education. The last chapter, containing research, presents the results of the research and interpretation of obtained indications. This chapter refers clearly a short-term orientation in some issues but also manifestation of perspective orientation of a segment of the respondents in the other issues. It contradicts the hypothesis that Gypsy learners are not interested to study at the University.

The thesis is focused on spatial orientation and independent movement of visually impaired people. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the extent of straight direction deviations concerning visually impaired pupils of primary and lower secondary schools. After analysis of specialized literature a description of current educational system for visually impaired pupils in the Czech Republic follows in the theoretical part. Specific needs related to the field of education of this target group are mentioned. Functional limitation of the visual analyzer influences spatial orientation and independent movement of the visually impaired individual. Therefore the thesis deals with the above mentioned topic and characterises education of the subject called spatial orientation and independent movement. Troubles in the field of motoric movement occur in the group of visually impaired people. This is apparent especially in incorrect walking technique and in deviation from the required straight direction. The research part of the thesis analyses deviations from the straight direction of the visually impaired and intact pupils.

Jana Havlíková DEPARTMENT: SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Micheala Kaslová ABSTRACT: This diploma thesis deals with the development of orientation in time focusing on the Sun and Moon in preschool children as part of the attendance at kindergarten. In the theoretical part, in addition to the definition of the term of time from various disciplines, there is also an outline of the development of perception and measurement of time in terms of both evolutionary and individual development. Many activities in kindergartens are preserved for a long time, however the observation of the sky itself has slowly disappeared from education programs and plans. The practical part is focused on setting up scenarios of individual activities for observing the position of the sun in the sky, the length and direction of the sun's shadow, and the awareness of the alternation of the day with the night and the seasons. All this within the framework of action research, which was implemented in one kindergarten class.
