This thesis focuses on sustainable funding of long-term care for ageing population in the Czech Republic. In Europe the population is constantly ageing and the health-care especially the long-term care is a constantly growing burden for the fiscal policy. The current status of funding of the long- term care in the Czech Republic is unsustainable. We work with predictions about the evolution of number of citizens in the Czech Republic in the middle-run perspective. Then we discuss long-term care systems across the European Union and OECD members. Further we propose a model based on German long-term care system and provide a framework for structural change of long-term care funding that would lead to sustainability of the system. We also discuss some amendments that should lead to higher efficiency of the system and less the burden.

The thesis is focused on ventilator-associated pneumonia and its possible preventive measures during nursing care. In the theoretical part of the work we have included chapters on nosocomial infections emphasizing on the etiology and epidemiology of ventilator-associated pneumonia and its clinical manifestations. We have analyzed the issues of artificial airway management with a detailed focus on the peculiarities of nursing care of the ventilated patients. There, we focus primarily on the care of the patients oral cavity, respiratory tract and the ventilation circuit. A big chapter is dedicated to preventive measures and to the possibilities of prevention in the nursing practice. The empirical part includes research on preventive measures that are implemented in practice and comparative analysis of the measures between different facilities as well as their compliance to the guidelines. TITLE: Life of Family with a Child with the Toriello-Carey Syndrome AUTHOR: Bc. Ivana Valuchová DEPARTMENT: Department of Special Pedagogy SUPERVISOR: PhDr. Monika Mužáková, PhD. ABSTRACT: The thesis deals with the family of a child with a disease of rare Toriello-Carey syndrome. This is an isolated case of this disease in Europe. The main objective of the thesis is to process of complex information relating to disease of Toriello-Carey syndrome and to determine impacts of the syndrome on the quality of life of individuals and their families. The thesis is divided to theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part contains three chapters. The first theoretical chapter (Introduction) is devoted to detail syndrome- its etiology, symptoms, context, history, clinical assessment, treatment and prognosis. Other theoretical chapters describe a family with a child with disabilities and specifics of families with rare diseases. The empirical part of the thesis is focused on a research and mapping the life of the family of a child with Toriello-Carey syndrome by analyzing the documents and semi-structured interview with the parents and an active observation boy. Every corporate director is under the obligation to perform his duties with reasonable care and loyalty. In connection with re-codification of the Czech private law, the Business Corporations Act brought a new institute to the Czech legal system - the business judgment rule. This rule provides corporate directors with a special protection against the liability for the breach of their duties. The aim of this thesis is to focus on this institute, to analyse the Czech version of business judgment rule, to compare it with its foreign models and provide the most likely judicial interpretation of it. The thesis consists of three main chapters. Chapter One deals with the issue of directors duties of care and loyalty and describes the grounds for existence of business judgment rule with a broaded context of law and economics knowledge. It explains the role of capital companies in business in order to define leading requirements for company regulation. The first part of my work is focused on the definition of homosexuality and clarifies some concepts and a summary of its history. Registered partnership is explained there, including its advantages and disadvantages. Furthermore it also focuses on the importance of family for the child and review of the types of foster care. And finally, first part summarizes various factors that influences children's psyche. The second part described the results of my survey which is focused on the public image of child custody to gay couples. It consists of several reactions collected from various chat forums and the most representative opinions obtained from questionnaires. The work is accompanied by five case studies and opinions from among homosexuals.

Annotation: This thesis deals with the possibilities of using the project to work with adults with learning and mental handicap. In the theoretical part of the work the basic concepts related to mental disability is characterized. Furthermore, it comprises the conditions and possibilities of contemporary care for adults with mental disabilities. The practical part describes the preparation, implementation and evaluation of a specific project of leisure activities for clients of SPMP Modrý klíč School (Blue Key School) named "history windows open".

Resocialisation of persons after serving a term of imprisonment Diploma thesis discusses problem of resocialisation of persons after serving a term of imprisonment. The aim of thesis is to explain a process of resocialisation of inmates during their imprisonment and after it. Thesis also attempts to answer how effective is special treatment with inmates. The main focus is given to the ways how we try to reach resocialisaton of these persons, such as treatment programmes - especially employment of prisoners and institute of conditional release from serving a prison sentence. The final part of thesis deals with post-penitentiary care and points out huge problems disallowing successful resocialisation - indebtedness and impossibility to find a job after serving a term of imprisonment.

This Diploma Thesis with a title "Future parents' way to foster care with a focus on adoption" has got two main parts. The theoretical part presents a basic approach on the issue of substitute care - family one as well as institutional one. It emphasizes its risks and also its advantages. One of the chapters describes the complete process of adoption, all steps, which applicants must get through and it emphasizes pitfalls of each step. The practical part is based on the theoretical part and it is in a form of an experimental probe. In the practical part there are presented the results of data analysis, which goes from semi-structured interviews with adoption applicants. The Thesis presents a complete overview of the issue of adoption and it also introduces not much discussed topic of direct adoption in the Czech Republic. Die Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema "Vergleich der Krankenversicherungssysteme in der Tschechischen Republik und in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland". Zwischen den gesetzlichen Krankenversicherungssystemen der Tschechischen Republik und der Bundesrepublik Deutschland bestehen viele Unterschiede und Besonderheiten. Es zeigt sich, dass beide Systeme auch eine ganze Reihe von gemeinsamen Aspekten aufweisen. Die Arbeit besteht aus sieben Kapiteln, wobei sich jedes Kapitel einem besonderen Aspekt der gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung widmet. Im ersten Kapitel wird eine historische Entwicklung erklärt, wobei im Unterabschnitt 1 dieses Kapitels die historische Entwicklung in der Tschechischen Republik behandelt wird, während der Unterabschnitt 2 sich der Entwicklung in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland widmet. Das zweite Kapitel setzt sich mit der rechtlichen Regelung beider Staaten auseinander. Dieses Kapitel ist in zwei Teile untergliedert, wobei der erste Teil sich mit der Regelung in der Tschechischen Republik beschäftigt und der zweite Teil die Situation in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland beschreibt. Thesis deals with the legislation of institutional care for delinquent youth and the possibilities of saving measures in response to wrongdoing committed by adolescents or otherwise of a criminal offense a child younger than 15 years. The work also includes analysis of the situation and socio-pathological development of young people after leaving the institutional care. The last part deals with implementation of the Early Intervention System and Youth team as an effective tool in combating children and adolescents crime in the Czech Republic.
