Diese Arbeit erörtert die Realisierungsmöglichkeiten der Überwachung von technischen Medien am Institut für Physik der TU Chemnitz und entwickelt daraus ein universell einsetzbares offenes System. Das aus dem Entwurf heraus mit ingenieurtechnischen Mitteln realisierte Medien-Ausfall- und Informations-System (_M_A_i_S_) ermöglicht die Überwachung von 16 Ereignissen an Ruhe- oder Arbeitsstromkreisen. Mit Hilfe einer Nutzerdatenbank können interessierte Teilnehmer über Ereignisänderungen differenziert informiert werden. Die Information gelangt dabei per Funknachricht über öffentliche Nachrichtensysteme oder als Electronic Mail zum Teilnehmer. Parallel dazu kann über das World-Wide-Web online der Status aller 16 Ereigniskanäle und der zeitliche Verlauf der Ereignisse eingesehen werden.

Monster Business is a feature film project comprising a horror-thriller feature screenplay and an accompanying exegesis. The screenplay is about a best-selling author who is behind on the delivery of the sequel to his money-spinning first novel and is made an offer by an enigmatic stranger to help rearrange his working environment to facilitate the rapid completion of the manuscript. Over the coming hours, then months, the author discovers just how far the stranger will go to complete the terms of this bizarre and brutal new contract. This accompanying exegesis examines a series of 'paratexts' (a logline, a one-pager and a treatment) that the screenplay has given rise to. The thesis argues that the role of the screenwriter does not end with the production of the core text--the screenplay. Instead, in order to support the development and/or the marketing of the script into a feature film, the screenwriter is an ongoing generator of supplemental documents or paratexts. The paper explores the status and function of paratexts (loglines, onepagers, treatments and explanatory development notes). It further argues that developmental paratexts are a necessary evil, providing a sifting or culling mechanism for producers and production executives, and that they are intended to guide a project toward being 'greenlit' but will more often have, at best, benign or, at worst, negative or destructive effects on its development. In this way, developmental paratexts, although ubiquitous and pro forma, are inherently problematic.

This work describes the design, construction a performance of such a complete wireless pager suitable for health care centers, rest homes, home application, for example for calling an attendant. This appliance is designed to be easy to attendance. A wireless transceiver is simplified and is attended only by one button. A wireless receiver also doesn't require a complicated manipulation. The aim is to create pager, which will be an useful assistant thanks to its price and simple construction.

The aim of thesis is a design of wireless pager, that can be used for short text messages transmission from the sender to a particular recipient. The report is sent from a computer via serial port. The application is based on microcontrollers, which provide data protection, evaluation and display data on the display of the receiver. The wireless transmission is effected via the RF modules, that are powered from batteries.

This thesis deals with the question of electronic security systems. In the forepart are described electronic security system components such as keyboards, detectors, alarm devices etc. Various methods of security or de-security of properties, trespassing and other events detection methods, and ways of alarm calling are described there too. The next part of the master’s thesis focuses on the construction of an alarm system which is designed for security of a common-size flat with one entry. The system manages to control up to four movement detectors. The operation of the system is handled by a 16 button keyboard, and easy orientation is provided thanks to a liquid crystal display. The alarm is signaled by an indoor alert siren, however, other alarm announcing devices with an input matched for the log. 0 or log. 1 reception can be connected too. The system contains communication equipment (mobile phone) which signals alarm at a distance to the three telephone numbers. User can use a distance control by text message to unlock system or to determine its status. The system is controlled by the microcontroller AVR ATmega16, the product of Atmel company. A brief description of all components of the electronic alarm system is included in this work.
