The development of the car transport has contributed to better mobility and also to more traffic on roads and more on-street parking. Governments reacted to this by creating a state regulation specifically the requirement of a minimum number of parking spaces to each new building. This policy may have some positive effects such as improving traffic flow of public roads and better security, but also brings additional costs for owners of new buildings. The goal of this thesis is to analyze the differences in an approach of Czech municipalities to this regulation and an impact discussion. I have chosen as a method of my research a combination of a controlled interview with representatives of five randomly selected Building Authorities in the Czech Republic and an electronic questionnaire with closed and open questions for the broader sample of municipalities in the Czech Republic. The analysis came to the conclusion that an application form of the minimum parking requirements policy for new buildings may vary significantly for each municipality and some differences exist in costs for owners of family houses because some of them are constrained to build paved and garage parking and the others have only their site next to the house.

The subject of this thesis is to solve the problem of the lack of the parking places at the city crematorium of the Central Cemetery of Brno. The main task is to deploy the parking lots on the northern and western side of the Central Cemetery. The parking lot on the western side should take into consideration the proposal for a new entrance from this side. This thesis also includes solutions for wheelchair access and for building a new bus stop.

Diploma thesis in general is about the basic standard for designing parking places, which is ČSN 73 6056 Parking areas for road vehicles. The aim of thesis was to find parameters to be updated since last version of standard in 2011. The basic step to reach this goal is detailed study of current standard, the standard before 2011 and other European standards. Parameters to upgrade could be size of design vehicle and some types of parking spaces. All results of analysis used for finding parameters to be changed are engaged in annexes of thesis.

Urban and mass solution creates a complex of buildings with a city-forming character and allows going follow the area.

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of residential parking. The analytical part describes the implementation process of this form of parking regulation. This process is illustrated with process diagrams created in ARIS Express software. The proposing part describes various solution options for a complicated situation concerning housing estate yards in areas with established residential parking.

This master’s thesis summarizes the sustainable transport issues and practical applications in this field. It also deals with components of non-sustainable transport, European Union's policy and explores the theory of externalities in sustainable transport. On a practical example - parking in the Brno city center, is finding a solution to the problem of insufficient parking capacity, using principles of sustainable transport

This diplom thesis deals with the analysis of existing state and prorosal to improve bicycle parking in the part of town Bohumín. Thesis also deals with evalution of critical section of cycling traffic in the Bohumín. It propose the optimalization of the existing state, or a complete change of it. The aim of the proposal is to improve the traffic situation in place e.g. to increase safety and driving comfort.

The subject of interest of this thesis is the analysis and solution of the site around the Gate of the Mother of God in Jihlava. The aim is to evaluate the current state of the area with the inclusion of houses owned by the city, which are part of the urban conservation area. The thesis also addresses the issues of tourism in the city, transport infrastructure and parking, property relations and the connection between the city centre and the suburbs. The design part deals with the evaluation of the current condition of three historic houses owned by the city, their reconstruction and new use. It also addresses the new construction of a parking structure on the site of the former bastion and the connection between the historic centre and the suburbs. The proposal was prepared on the basis of the requirements of the Jihlava City Council and is governed by the limits of the conservation area.

The objective of this thesis is to design the appropriate parking management for downtown of Jindrichuv Hradec. The theoretical part is focused on the traffic problem and its negative effects on environment of cities in relation to increase in private car transport in recent years. In the next chapter, parking management and its specific strategies are described as instruments solving problems with urban transport including its static and dynamic part. Practical part includes description of current traffic conditions and accessibility of the town centre of Jindrichuv Hradec. The description results from information obtained by personal mapping of location and measuring of parking occupancy. The proposed solution of certain parking policies that result in more efficient use of parking resources with minimized traffic impacts on historical centre of town follows.
