Černá, Zdeňka Klára January 2018 (has links)
This thesis deals with the question of the concept of freedom in the Gospel of John and the relationship between freedom and truth. The first part of this thesis is focused on the research of concepts of freedom and truth from the Old Testament to the New Testament, it is a description of historical background in which both terms were formed and transformed. This thesis also includes a detailed exegesis of the text of J 8.31-36, which served as the starting point. Due the fact that notion of freedom is most often found in the New Testament in the Gospel of John and Paul's Epistles, I insert a chapter charting the occurrence and use of the concept of freedom in Paul's epistles. In the main part of the thesis I compare the use of the concept of freedom in the Gospel of John and in Paul's letters.

The Problem of the Genre of Dan Brown's Novel "The Da Vinci Code" / Deno Brauno romano "Da Vinčio kodas" žanro problema

Skorupa, Pavel 16 August 2007 (has links)
The MA paper focuses on the problem of the genre of Dan Brown’s novel The Da Vinci Code. In the paper various concepts of the literary genre, especially the novel, in modern literary theory are presented and reviewed. All theories of the novel distinguish the following main genre constituents: plot, setting, character, thematic range, the narrator and point of view, intertextuality, and others. The analysis reveals that there are four subplots, apart from the main plot line; at some crucial moments, or in most dramatic scenes, the plotlines crisscross or merge. Robert Langdon and Sophie Neveu are the protagonists of the novel; the Teacher-Teabing and Silas are the villains; and the minor characters are: Bezu Fache, Bishop Aringarosa, and others. The protagonists and the villains are psychological characters. The novel deals with a number of problems: love and family – the main problem is Christ’s marriage of Mary Magdalene and their posterity; the problem has been supposedly hidden in Leonardo da Vinci’s works, especially the fresco “The Last Supper”; the theme of art, the conflict between science and religion, etc. The research discovers that there is a fusion of several generic forms in The Da Vinci Code. It also shows that the novel can be placed in traditional and most recent literary culture. Knygoje gausu... [toliau žr. visą tekstą]

Karel Velebný a třetí proud / Karel Velebný and the Third Stream

Pudlák, Jan January 2020 (has links)
This Master's thesis focuses on the specific features and phenomena in the Czech third stream in the 1960s. These specifics are identified, on the one hand, through the analysis of Karel Velebný's third streams compositions, but also through their comparison with third stream works by other Czech authors in the observed period. The resulting characteristic of the Czech third stream is then confronted with the third stream of an American author and ideological founder of this style movement, Gunther Schuller. The criterion for the inclusion of the analyzed compositions in this thesis was the presence of a certain avant-garde ambition, which, in this thesis, is understood as the use of dodecaphony or other New music compositional techniques in the context of jazz music. In the analysis, the thesis focuses on the way these compositional techniques were implemented into the structure of jazz music, but the author also observes which musical components are through this stylistic synthesis modified the most. Key words: Third stream, jazz, Karel Velebný, Pavel Blatný, Gunther Schuller

Architekt Richard Ferdinand Podzemný - meziválečná tvorba / Architect Richard Ferdinand Podzemný - work of the interwar period

Řepková, Barbora January 2021 (has links)
Architect Richard Ferdinand Podzemný - work of the interwar period Abstract Present thesis offers a study into the early work of Richard Ferdinand Podzemný (1907-1987), an important protagonist of a younger generation of interwar architectural avant-garde. Structured around an approximate decade between R. F. Podzemný's studies and the close of the 1930s, the thesis' aim is a contextualized overview of the architect, his projects, both proposals and built work, so as to distinguish his working methods and applied processes in their historical specificity, and that of the development of functionalism in Czechoslovakia. The main areas of interest are the life and career of R. F. Podzemný, the importance of his tutelage at the Industrial school at Valašské Meziříčí and his subsequent studies of architecture with Pavel Janák at the Academy of Applied Art in Prague, the issue of minimal housing planning, private residential projects and competition entries for public development with stress on medical facilities. Finally, close attention is given to the outstanding project of the Residential building of the Landesbank, colloquially dubbed "the Glass Palace" or "Skleňák", and its reverberances throughout the end of the 1930s.
