Previous issue date: 2006 / Resumo: O objetivo desta dissertação é descrever e discutir uma determinada técnica pianística e seu método de ensino. Proposta e ensinada pelo pianista brasileiro Pietro Maranca, a técnica em questão incorpora várias referências a fatos anatômicos e biomecânicos, e neste estudo tais correlações são desenvolvidas procurando-se não uma comprovação cabal, mas alguns elementos de coerência que possam contribuir às pesquisas no campo. As questões pedagógicas do método também são referendadas e apreciadas. Encontrou-se que os movimentos de ajuste e alívio que esta técnica utiliza correspondem em vários pontos ao mecanismo descrito pela literatura biomecânica como bem coordenado, pois este o prevê como um desenrolamento das unidades de coordenação. Também se indicou que o método de ensino da técnica é fortemente estruturado em fases e calcado numa série de pistas visuais e motoras que aludem a certas ações básicas do dia-a-dia. A expressividade, como parte intrínseca da técnica, é entendida de maneira peculiar e se levantam algumas hipóteses que poderiam justificar tal abordagem / Abstract: The primary goal of this dissertation is to describe and discuss a specific piano technique and its methodology. Purposed and taught by the Brazilian pianist Pietro Maranca, the technique presently studied embodies many references to anatomical and biomechanical facts, and such correlations are explained and developed in a nondefinitive way. This bias was chosen in order to find some interne coherence elements which can contribute to the research field. Pedagogical issues are examined in a similar manner. Among the findings we can underline the correspondence between the technique movements and the mechanic asserted by the biomechanical literature as well coordinated as long as both rely upon the unrolling of coordination unities. On the pedagogical side, the method is strongly based on phases and uses visuals and motors cues drawn from routine or daily actions. Expressivity, as an inherent part of technique, is understood in a peculiar way, and we hypothesize about that approach / Mestrado / Mestre em Música
