Slavíková, Hana January 2020 (has links)
All the youth political organizations, that were included in his research, aimed to provide its political parties with the function of party stabilization, They acted as a mediator between political party and the defined part of society. There is an assumption, that institutionalized political party wants a strong and durable relationship with the affiliated organization because of its mutually beneficial functions. Moreover, these parties should also aim to formalize this relationship via its statutes. However, in the Czech Republic there is a strong tendency toward omitting this form of relationship as the parties prefer more informal relations. This diploma thesis discovered, that in the only youth political organization with formal ties to its maternal organization was Young Social Democrats. Even though these youth political parties act lice a support structure, they can be also perceived by political party as a potential source of instability and danger.

Stahl, Cosimo January 2014 (has links)
Bibliographic note STAHL, C. (2014): Cleavage Politics and Europeanisation-induced transformation of the national political space - The Case of the Czech Republic, 94 p. Master thesis, Charles University, Faculty of Social Sciences, Institute of International Studies. Supervisor: doc. PhDr. Jiří Vykoukal, CSc. Abstract This research seeks to map the national political space and assess the prevailing cleavage patterns in the Czech Republic. Processes of globalisation and Europeanisation have left their imprint in Western Europe - splitting the electorate into winners and losers of globalisation and denationalisation. This demarcation vs. integration magnet is also relevant in the CEE region - altering and reshuffling the underlying structure of party competition and EU contestation. By employing quantitative content analysis of print media the prevailing issue and cleavage dimensions will be reconstructed both during early stages of democratic transition (1996 Parliamentary elections) and after the 2004-EU-enlargement (2010 elections). While the political discourse and politics in the 1990s are primarily structured by issues of economic transition and post-communist transformation (underlying the classical socio-economic cleavage between market and state), in 2010 also cultural and post-materialist political...

Vývoj rozptýlené zeleně v závislosti na zavedení nástrojů zemědělské politiky a politiky ochrany přírody a krajiny / Long-term development of scattered vegetation related to agricultural and environmental politics

Vlnová, Lucie January 2014 (has links)
Scattered vegetation is an essential part of the landscape in the Czech Republic. It is typical mainly for farm land which has experienced deep changes during the last century, which were probably the deepest changes in the last millennium. The thesis focuses on valuation of the scattered vegetation from the fifties till present. As a reset of collectivism, land consolidation in-to large land units, grassland ploughing and disturbance of scenic elements started. These broke the ecological balance of the landscape. The priority was given to the objective of increasing agricultural production. However, this intense way of farming changed sharply after the year 1989 during the transition to free market economy when the intensity of agricultural production decreased and a lot of less efficient areas were left abandoned. At the same time, modern legislativ protecting important scenic elements and scattered vegetation was adopted. At the beginning of the new century the Czech Republic joined the European Union resulting in changes in the environmental and agricultural policy. My thesis is aiming to analyse all the elements of scattered vegetation on one study area and with the help of this analysis tries to get the response of the scattered vegetation to the factors mentioned above. Specifically, I...

Kejlová, Tamara January 2014 (has links)
The thesis "Analysis of the Czech Periodicals' News Coverage of the 2013 Presidential Elections in the Czech Republic" examines how the daily newspapers Mladá fronta DNES, Lidové noviny and Hospodářské noviny framed the election campaign. It also focuses on the degree of compliance with the criteria of impartiality in media contents. Texts with the endorsements are also a part of the analysis. The teoretical part draws the typical features of the relationship between the media and politics and the main theoretical and methodological basis for research of the frames and objectivity. It also introduces the concept of media framing as "fragmented paradigm" and objectivity as an unattainable ideal. Foreign researches and a study of Český rozhlas are an integral part of the theoretical section. Their conclusions were used in the analysis itself. The aim of the research carried out by means of a combined quantitative and qualitative content analysis was to determine how Czech daily newspapers responded in their content to direct presidential elections associated with the phenomenon of endorsement. Quantitative analysis focuses on the dominant frames and key issues associated with elections occurring in media contents. Further, it focuses on the extent to which journals presented candidates in the neutral...

Vliv politické ideologie v rozhodování Ústavního soudu ČR? / Does Political Ideology Influence the Czech Counstitutional Court's Decision-making?

Chmel, Jan January 2015 (has links)
In the presented thesis the author analyses the possible influence of judges' ideolog-ical beliefs on the Czech Constitutional court decision making. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and analytical one. The first part emphasizes the need to distin-guish between the fact that courts' decisions have political consequences and the suspi-cion that those decisions are made in a political way. The theoretical part thus focuses on the discussions on the judicialization of politics, constitutional interpretation, judicial legitimacy and the attitudinal model of judicial decision making. Since the judge can no longer be seen only as "the mouth that pronounces the words of the law", other factors than the text of law (or the Constitution) that determine their decisions should be taken into account. Political beliefs could be one of such factors. Nevertheless, the author ar-gues, that judges lack democratic legitimacy for making purely political decisions and so it is important that they suppress the conscious or subconscious tendency to decide the constitutional cases according to their ideological beliefs. It is thus useful to test the sceptical hypothesis, that what judges do is actually pure politics. It is argued that the analysis of the decision making can be enriched by employing the...
