European Law Against Unfair Competition Resumé This diploma thesis deals with the European (EU) law against unfair competition, or more specifically with the legal regulation of two directives of European Union, which are the ones for the european law against unfair competition most significant, Misleading and Comparative Advertising Directive and Unfair Commercial Practices Directive. The purpose of this thesis is to provide comprehensive and understandable overview of the legal regulation of both above mentioned directives, to analyze selected judicature of the Court of Justice of the European Union related to these directives, to briefly outline interpretation problems arising from the transposition of both directives to the Czech legal order, which were identified by professional literature. The content of this diploma thesis is divided into 5 main chapters. After the Introduction follows the chapter briefly defining the main notions, economic competition, competition law, the law against unfair competition and unfair competition. Čarodějnické procesy - iluze českých dějin? / Witch trials - an illusion of Czech history?

This diploma thesis focuses on the issue of the persecution of witches in the Czech lands, precisely speaking in Bohemia and Moravia, including the necessary European context. Thesis mapped the origin and development of the formation of the dangerous sect of witches and legal basis for persecution servants of the devil designated persons. The chronological definition of work can be dated between years 1400 - 1800, however the medieval period includes a short overlap, which appears to be necessary from the standpoint of the reflection of development of formation of diabolical witchcraft. The core of this thesis becomes early modern period, the period from 1500 to 1800. Attention is also paid to the conclusions of foreign historiography and interdisciplinary approaches to the researched topic. Thesis is also trying, in addition to the analysis of theoretical concepts related to issue, ask about the possibility of application of these concepts in Bohemia and Moravia. Specific cases of judicial proceedings are based mostly on black books. Diploma thesis reviews the position of the European Union to regulate the business-to-business relations in the retail supply chain and sums up the view of parliamentary political parties in the Czech Republic on the regulation of unfair trading practices in the business-to-business relations. The first chapter defines the behavior of firms in the market structures of perfect and imperfect competition, and specifies the microeconomic effects of economic policy. The second chapter describes the development of retail sector, forms of unfair trading practices, and approaches to solving the problem of unfair trade practices in the Czech Republic and in the European Union. The third chapter presents opinions of political parties in the Czech Republic to regulate the unfair trading practices in the retail supply chain.

Unfair Competition and Unfair Commercial Practices in the Online Environment of Social Networks Abstract (ENG) The aim of this master's thesis is to analyse applicable law relating to the phenomenon of surreptitious advertising occurring in the posts published by influencers on social networks, examined in the scope of Czech law against unfair competition and unfair commercial practices. The author also aims to describe the particulars of the proper indication of advertising nature of such posts. The introductory part of this thesis covers general legal provisions on unfair competition and unfair commercial practices (with regard to the European law influence) and legal regulation of social networks. Title: The Weight losing nutrition in sporting This bachelor work is focused on questions of weight- reducing diet in regularly sporting women. The theoretical part is included, describing the principles of biochemical, physiological and metabolic aspects of human body. It explains the concept of active or healthy way of life and shows the manipulation techniques of mass media, having influence on the rational food selection of modern population. The practical part of work is dedicated to the evaluation of questionnaire, including observation and discussion with female probands taking part of the research. The mass media manipulation techniques analyses is included, as well as nourishment recommendations, which are in agreement with a rational nutrition and improve the weight reduction outcomes. Aims: To access the most common mistakes in weight reduction of sporting women, evaluate the quality and availability of nourishment information obtained from mass media and to find errors made by women affected by mass media manipulation. European Law Against Unfair Competition Abstract The scope of this thesis is intended to cover mainly two branches of the European law against unfair competition. Those two branches were recognized in (i) business-to- business relations governed mostly by the European Union Directive 2006/114/ES and in (ii) business-to-consumer relations governed by the European Union directive 2005/29/ES respectively. Taking in consideration the above-said, it can be stated that this thesis predominantly analyzes what should be in more precise way called as "European Union law against unfair competition". The thesis is divided into ten chapters while five of them should be considered as the leading ones. First of them is the chapter number five dedicated to B2B relations. The author examines the respective directive 2006/114/ES also to the extent of its relevant jurisprudence of the European Court of Justice. Abuse of the Dominant Position by Prohibited Pricing Activities Abstract This thesis analyzes selected pricing practices of dominant undertakings namely predatory pricing, margin squeeze and excessive pricing. These practices may, under certain circumstances, constitute an abuse of the dominant position. The aim of the thesis is to focus on problematic aspects of each of these practices, on explanation of various legal and economic tests used to prove that certain pricing policy constitutes an abuse of dominant position and on the description of conditions that have to be met in order to consider such practice contrary to the competition law of the Czech Republic and the European Union. The thesis is composed of four chapters. In Chapter One a brief introduction to the competition law itself and to the analyzed matter is given. The work deals with the issue of Tibetan Buddhism and is divided into two parts, the theoretical and practical. The first chapter is devoted to the creation and deve-lopment of Tibetan Buddhist, its teachings and the four main schools. The second chapter describes the spread of Tibetan Buddhism to the West. The chapter also contains a description of operating centers, schools and organizations in the Czech Republic. The third chapter focuses on description and explanation of meditation and meditation practices that are typical of Tibetan Buddhism. The practical part is devoted to meditation experiences and how they are perceived in everyday life. The practical part includes a transcript of several interviews with active Buddhists from various Buddhist centers in the Czech Republic. The end of the chapter is a commentary and assessment of interviews.

The thesis focuses on research of IT process weakness. In theoretical part are described basic terms and also frameworks or best practise of process maturity rating. Selected practice ITIL and COBIT are then used for rating in practical part. For this purpose is choosen one of process which is outsourced by external contractor. Rating is made using free accessible tools, which are offered by selected practice and which offer rating process. Result is established according to consultation with people involved in project and their rating using mentioned tools.

The first one is called Unfair Commercial Practices Directive and it focuses on relations between businesses and customers, while the second one, called Misleading and Comparative Advertising Directive, concentrates on business to business relations. Moreover, the realm of unfair competition is richly complemented by the jurisprudence of the Court of Justice of the European Union, which dedicates many of its rulings to this problematic due to its indispensable significance.
