Čeští vývojáři a mobilní platformy: kvalitativní studie / Czech developers and mobile platforms

This Master's degree thesis deals with a specific area of creative industries: development of mobile applications. The aim is to identify and understand the work routines of Czech iOS developers while considering the importance of design as one of the benchmarks of mobile application quality on the Apple App Store. I mainly focus on mapping work routines of selected developers and their thinking about design in the context of Apple devices and iOS platform, assuming that Apple establishes a high standard of visual and functional qualities. I am addressing an issue of application usability not only in terms of design of the user interface, but also its functioning and more aspects of application development within the ecosystem of Czech mobile app industry. The theoretical part of my thesis subjectively describes fundamental concepts from the mobile app development field and theories related to the topic. Empirical part of the study is based on qualitative interviews with 9 Czech mobile app developers and following thematic analysis. This study can serve as an interesting resource of understanding of the work of Czech mobile app developers, how they think about design and Apple as a platform or as a solid foundation for further quantitative investigation to confirm or revise my findings.

Aktuální otázky vzdělávání pracovníků v pomáhajících profesích / Current issues of personnel training in the helping professions

This thesis deals with personnel training in the helping professions. The main objective of this thesis is to report on the current state and trends of the future orientation of personnel education in the helping professions. The theoretical part deals with the definition of the components involved in the process of personnel training in the helping professions, possible attitudes of organizations to education of their employees, supervision, as a form of further education, legislation related to the topic of workers' education in the helping professions and implemented projects supporting the education of these workers. The empirical part is devoted to the analysis of documents, which tries to determine whether there have been changes in personnel training in the helping professions in the monitored period in Hradec Králové Region in connection with the implementation of quality standards of social services and the amendment of the Act on Social Services. The empirical part also includes a quantitative analysis. It is a research probe using the method of scaling questionnaire. The questionnaire was distributed to participants of training courses. Osobnostní charakteristiky u studentů a pracovníků pomáhajících profesí / Personality Traits of Students and Assistant Jobs

Diploma thesis ,,Personality Traits of Students and Assistant Jobs" The thesis deals with personality characteristics of students and professionals doing a job of a social service worker. The purpose was to find out whether professionals and students doing such job have necessary personality preconditions for their profession. The theoretical part describes personality preconditions required for this profession and, at the same time, warns of features that are unsuitable for it. It also includes information about pitfalls associated with this profession and methods of prevention and intervention that may help social service workers to cope with these pitfalls. Within the framework of the survey, answers to the asked questions demonstrated that students and professionals in this field don't have good preconditions for doing the job. Some of them seem to have been affected by a "syndrome of a helper" when choosing this profession. The conclusion of the thesis emphasises the importance of education, preventive programmes, self-experience training and supervision as prevention of pitfalls.

Any help, with making a right decision of choosing a career or continuing in studies, is undoubtedly an important source for each person at high school and has been occupying this distinctive role in education. This thesis is trying to bring about the changing of the position of Career Counselor's within the school system, in a general system of counseling. The goal of this thesis is to cover the various subjects' conception of counselors at high schools and also trying to entitle their targets in connection with reality. At the end there will be given a description and clarification of three different high schools (each with different cultural and social-economic conditions) and their correspondences towards Career counseling in cooperation with the content analyses of the subjects' conceptions of Career counseling.

The thesis "Beginning teacher from the point of view of dealing with professional qualities" reacts to the actual theme of seeking professional competencies of teachers and of suitable evaluation methods. It focuses on the work of beginning teachers and their professional quality and on further incentives for their professional growth. At the same time identifies what helps novice teachers during the first years of teaching activities. In the theoretical part knowledge and opinions of specialists are summarized and organized into three chapters. The experts were selected according to themes: teacher quality, professional competence, teaching profession, training of teachers and their support in practice. The practical part presents qualitative research which through the research methods (questionnaire, interview, data analysis, case study) describes the reality of beginning teachers work in primary school. Despite big psychological and physical difficulty the profession is underestimated, prestige and salaries of teachers are low. THE ABSTRACT It has been shown recently that workload, stress, and burnout syndrome among the staff of the medical rescue service may be major risk factors in terms of triggering the use of psychoactive substances. Representing what is understandably a delicate issue, substance use among emergency medical staff has not been thoroughly studied in our country. Emergency medical workers' difficult working conditions and the chronic stress they are exposed to, in combination with a lack of support and care on the part of their employers, result in exhaustion and general distress, accompanied by the development of symptoms associated with both physical and mental disorders. This condition may lead to the use of psychoactive substances as a negative coping strategy. Consisting of both theoretical background and case studies, the paper points out the relationship between the chronic effect of stressors pertaining to the job of emergency medical workers and the use of psychoactive substances as a way of coping with and compensating for the implications of work-related stress and fatigue. Příčiny odchodu začínajících učitelů z profese / Drop-out of the beginning teachers

The Diploma thesis focuses on the drop-out of beginning teachers. Theoretical part elaborates on the phenomenon of drop-out, it describes the reasons why the beginning teachers leave and why they are the group of teachers which is the most threatened by drop-out. Furthermore, this part describes problems that beginning teachers have to deal with and the most frequent reasons for leaving the profession, their rate and consequences of drop-out. The end of the theoretical part presents options and suggestions that would help solve this problem. The empirical part of the thesis is realized by an on-line questionnaire and in-depth interviews. The research focuses on four main aspects: 1 - the motivation to study the teaching and to practise it, 2 - the main reasons for new teachers to leave, 3 - the possibilities to prevent drop-out and 4 - whether the respondents continue to work with children or not. Last but not least, the research focuses on the possibilities that would help respondents to stay in the profession. The results of the research confirm the reasons for quiting as described by literature. The qualitative description of the reasons for drop-outs provides a deeper understanding of how they interact in an institutional, interactive and cultural level.
