Motivace k výkonu sociální práce u sociálních pracovníků OSPOD / Motivation to perform social work of social workers in the department of social and legal protection of children

The diploma thesis focuses on the concept of social work in the social and legal protection of children and social workers perception of the prestige this profession. The diploma thesis defines terms such as self-worth, self-realization, motivation and prestige, while the emphasis is mainly on meeting expectations that were formed before studying at university, or higher professional school. The work also focuses on the professional and systemic limits that social workers at OSPOD encounter, but also on the assumptions that are an integral part of the professional performance of social work at OSPOD. The empirical part of the thesis is focused on qualitative research, where semi-structured interviews were used and the respondents were selected on the basis of the reference selection. This thesis also looks into the problem and identification of critical areas, which are connected with the performance of social work on OSPOD, mainly in the context of perception of prestige of this profession.

This diploma thesis deals with development of sports journalism during the First Czechoslovak Republic, which applies to the period from October 1918 unBl Munich agreement in September 1938. Research is focused parBcularly on specialized sports magazines and it is based on analysis of the six most significant ones - Slavista, Sportovni revue, Sportovni vestnik, Sport, Star and Rekord. The aim of this thesis is to describe the progress of sport journalism between world wars in the broader context and get to know whether or not had sport journalism developed into a full-Bme occupaBon. In addiBon this text portrays the most influenBal sport journalists of that period - Karel Petru, Josef Fanta, Miloslav Josef Horacek and Ondrej Sekora and also brings a chapter about sports photography, which was inseparable part of popular sport magazines. This thesis is a first scholarly text to bring a wider perspecBve on specialized sports magazines in Czechoslovak Republic between years 1918 and 1938 and follows the cooperaBon and rivality among journalists and their influence on sport in Czechoslovakia in general. One chapter was devoted to sports photography, because it played important role in successful sports magazines.

The aim is to find different approaches by which people employed in the media approach their work and reconcile personal life with employment, as well as to identify and describe possible differences in attitudes between men and women. The method of qualitative research is semi-structured interviews followed by analysis through grounded theory. A sample of respondents made up of men and women who work in the media of various types, focus and reach at the time of writing this diploma thesis should help to get a comprehensive view of the matter.

Thesis title: Work related musculoskeletal disorders in professional ballet dancers Objective: The high demands of the ballet dancers' profession are reflected especially within the individual dancer's musculoskeletal body system which is repeatedly exposed to a physical load that is specific for classical dance. The objective of this thesis is to find out what are the work related musculoskeletal disorders ("WRMD") in dancers who work in the Czech Republic, what risk factors prevail and which preventive strategies are applied to avoid the occurrence of WRMD. Methods: The stated objective was achieved by means of a questionnaire survey, during which randomly selected women/young adults with vocational training in ballet who are/were professional ballet dancers voluntarily filled in a questionnaire. In total, 56 ballet dancers within the region of the Czech Republic took part in this survey. The questionnaire consisted of open and closed questions and its conception was based on the Nordic Musculoskeletal Questionnaire ("NMQ"), with selected questions adapted to the specifics of the ballet profession. The thesis focuses on the role of rating agencies in the financial crisis. The aim of the thesis is to judge a rate how much rating agencies contributed to give rise to last financial crisis, began by fall of Lehman Brothers in 2008. A main question is whether rating agencies acted inadvertently or on purpose and which all factors contributed most to result in financial crisis and as well how the rating agencies could influence and cope with these factors. The thesis deals with regulation of rating agencies and their appropriateness too. Rating and its aspects in theoretical way are described in the first part of the work. The real situation of rating industry prior to and in financial crisis is described in the second practical part of the thesis.

The thesis deals with the professionalization of non-profit sector in the Czech Republic, specifically the problém what "professions" in the non-profit sector in the Czech Republic are formed and what are their parameters. The thesis analyzes the jobs offered in the labor market in non-profit organizations. This thesis tries to answer the question: "To what jobs are employees of nonn-governmental organizations demanded" It also focuses on the requirements of these jobs - specifically, the required education, skills, abilities, personality characteristics, experrience, knowledge, relationship to work and the technical prerequisites. The theoretical part is devoted to the professionalization of NGOs in the country. First, I define the Non-Governmental Organization, then explain the concept of professionalization, explain the concept of profession and define who is a professional. The last chapter concerns human resources and positions in non-profit organizations. In the empirical part I analyze the current situation on the labor market in the Czech Republic. It is mentioned what positions of the NGOs are demanding and what are the requirements put on these posts, then I compare the offers of work in NGOs in each region.

OVERVIEW This study deals with the situation of mediation in the Czech Republic. Mediation began to develop as a modern field during the 1990s. With the adopting of Act No. 202/2012 Coll. on Mediation, partial definitions were give for what mediation is and for the conditions under which it can be provided. Nonetheless, the situation in mediation is still very complicated. The study therefore presents a unified overview of what mediation is, of the principles upon which it is based, and of how it is used in practice. It introduces the role of a mediator and of the demands that must be satisfied for the performance of mediation, and it describes how the professional standards and code of ethics for mediators are established. By comparing the profession of an attorney to that of a mediator on the basis of the identifying characteristics of an expert profession, it determines whether mediation is a separate profession or a method that is useful in other fields.

Background: For dealing with addiction, bio-psycho-socio-spiritual paradigm which is the main subject of this paper. The first three topics are mostly concerned about research rather than spirituality theme itself. The majority are focusing particularly on feeling spirituality of the researched clients Aims: The main aim was to map spirituality of workers that are supporting residual addiction treatment, which could bring new findings with possible implementation to bring spirituality to practice. Aims: The main focus of the paper is to describe spirituality of residual addiction treatment workers. Methods: For data gathering, Prague spirituality questionnaire was used, where individual approach to spirituality can be assessed. The questionnaire consists of social and demographic questions combined with personal spirituality position together with its impact. There were 49 respondents consisting of residual addiction treatment workers. Results: The outcome describes differences between individual professions of which nurses are the group with biggest impact of spirituality while addictologists on the opposite site. Media, being a strongly cultural specific phenomenon is always closesly connected to society. The role of a journalist is influenced by the same process. This thesis is focused on the evolution of the journalism profession in a young and unfamiliar Australian environment and it's differences to a European journalstic environment where the profession has been evolving for a much longer period. Journalism was "imported" to the Australian Continent during British colonisation. This diverse evolution of the journalism profession post colonisation has influenced contemporary journalism education at Australian Universities. Analysis of the study curiculums of Six Universities (Three Czech Universities, which represent the academic model for European academic traditons, and three Australian Universities) will show that differences in journalistic education have strongly influenced the preparation of students into the journalism profession. The thesis will aim to show that Australian Universities are strongly oriented toward practicing skills. This will be shown to be in comparrison to the Czech Universities which focus on principles of general academic knowledge and understanding in the wider context of the journalism profession.

Vyhoření a zapálenost v profesi učitele / Teachers: burnout syndrom versus engagement and professional enthusiasm

The thesis is dealing with the problematics of burnout syndrome and engagement in teaching profession in different types of schools and grades. Its objective is to detect the degree of burnout in a selected sample of teachers and map the main determinants of contentment related to engaged teachers. The theoretical part defines the concept of burnout syndrome, its development, progress, signs, causes and diagnostics. It clarifies the development of burnout in teaching profession. Furthermore, it describes the key characteristics of engagement, the diagnostic methods and the relationship between teaching and engagement. The empiric part has two goals: to find out the degree of burnout in teachers and depict the essential factors which contribute to their engagement. The research was based on questionnaires and interviews and answered the research questions. The results are presented in tables and graphs. In conclusion, there are some suggestions how to lower the risk of genesis and growth of burnout syndrome.
