Řeháková, Anna January 2016 (has links)
This master's thesis refers to the use of video as a teaching tool in the subject Didactics of Biology. It comprises two parts, one theoretical and another practical. The theoretical part charts the didactical and practical subjects taught at the Faculty of Education, Charles University in Prague, and deals with the use of video for the professional development of teachers. For the practical part, 8 lesson observation videos were recorded and placed on a newly created website (www.didaktikabiologievidea.cz). A questionnaire was carried out among the students of the teaching profession to evaluate the benefits of the videos for them. Dilemata v thanatologii 21. století / Dilemmas in thanatology in the 21st century

Řáhová, Anna January 2013 (has links)
Dilemmas in thanatology in the 21st century In the thesis "Dilemmas in thanatology in the 21st century" I focused on the definition of the contradictory questions about the end of human life. I found that most of the respondents of different age groups, who were involved in the care process and responded to the questionnaire, are acquainted with the issue of thanatology. They assess this issue as emotionally challenging, difficult and professionally untreated. In addition, I investigated the needs of helping professions in the issue of communication barriers in the topic of death and dying. I came to the conclusion that communication on this subject is displaced, missing training and there is a lack of the literature on this topic. Due to the unrepresentativeness of the survey I assess the result obtained only as the orientation indicator according to the issue under the investigation. This result rather opens up further contradictory questions in the thanatology.

Celebritizace zpravodajství a publicistiky v českých komerčních televizích / Celebritization of news service and journalism on Czech commercial TV channels

Hložková, Dominika January 2016 (has links)
The diploma thesis "Celebritization of news service and journalism on Czech commercial TV channels" focuses on the growing trend of appointing celebrities as anchormen on news broadcasts. Entertainization and celebritization of news services raises the question of whether these patterns contribute to the professionalization or deprofessionalization of journalism. This work aims to examine the consequences of celebrity presence in newscasting because of the obvious changes in broadcaster representatives. Primarily, this analysis focuses on private channels (Prima, Nova, Barrandov) employing Czech celebrity as anchormen despite their lack of previous media experience or education in the field. The theoretical part introduces the requirements for TV presenters and elaborates on the terms "professionalization" and "celebritization". The methodological part clarifies the selection of presenters researched, as well as the chosen methods of analysis. The qualitative method is utilized to analyze the research portion of this thesis, which mainly addresses the linguistic aspect of the speakers' speech and their non-verbal communication.

Empatie pracovníků v pomáhajících profesích / Empathy of workers in helping professions

KAŠPÁRKOVÁ, Eva January 2011 (has links)
Empathy of Workers in Helping Professions The term empathy means the ability to understand emotions of other people. It is the person´s ability to understand the mental condition of the other person with whom he or she is in immediate contact. Such understanding makes it possible to understand emotions, thinking, acting, behavior and attitudes of other people. To empathize with someone the person needs to efficiently focus and concentrate on the other person and to have the sufficient will to do so. Empathy is a complex psychological experience. The objective of the thesis is to determine whether the attitudes to empathy and experience of difficulties associated with empathy are different among personal assistants and nurses. The research was conducted among personal assistants operating in the district of České Budějovice and among nurses working in the hospital in Jindřichův Hradec. The respondents were of diverse ages with a different representation of men and women. The method of the research was inquiry with a questionnaire technique. I formulated three hypotheses in total. All the hypotheses have been confirmed by the completed research. The thesis may be used as a source of information for the general public, as well as for teaching purposes.

Supervize jako nástroj rozvoje studentů - budoucích sociálních pracovníků / Supervision as a tool for development of students - future social workers

ŠABARTOVÁ, Alžběta January 2016 (has links)
The main instrument of improving the social work education in the Czech Republic is the guideline The Minimum Standards of Education in Social Work issued by the Association of Educators in Social Work. According to this Standard, a student of social work, as a future social worker, shall have not only theoretical, but also practical knowledge which include professional practical training and supervision. It is also essential to become aware of the fact that a student, as a future social worker, will bear the responsibility when helping people in difficulties. Therefore, the school should ensure that any information a student receives during his/her study, is supplied to him/her in a seizable form. That is why it is important that the school provides its students with a supervision which is to improve the quality of their professional preparation, offer them insight in social worker profession and help them solve not only any divergences a student can see between theory and practice. The aim of the Dissertation is to seek higher-education supervisors´ and students´ views of the supervision implemented as a part of future social workers´ studies. Two research questions have been raised within the Dissertation. How do the students future social workers perceive the supervision which is implemented as a part of studies? What do supervisors consider as the purpose of supervision (which is realised as a part of studies) for students future social workers? The necessary information for the elaboration of the Dissertation were acquired through qualitative research. Interviewing and a semi-structured dialogue technique were chosen as the most suitable data collection method. Two research groups were chosen for the needs of the Dissertation. The first group consists of highest-class students in the field of social work at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences and Faculty of Theology at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. The other research group consists of supervisors operating at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences and Faculty of Theology at the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice. The research showed that students perceive supervision as useful and purposeful. Students appreciate the possibility of exchanging their experience. Differences appeared regarding the duration of the supervision session. Students mostly do not know what to talk about during supervision. Greater part of the students has not a problem to confide to a supervisor, but shortcomings were also found in this respect. Regarding the supervisors of professional practical training, in their opinion, the purpose of supervision is especially to educate students, improve students' knowledge, interconnect the theory and the practice, support students in the course of their professional practical training and give students the opportunity to reflect their own practical experience. There was also raised an idea to establish supervision directly in workplaces, where students exercise their professional practical training. The Dissertation may serve as a feedback for supervisors and as an educational material for students. It can also be used to obtain a more comprehensive picture of functioning of school supervisions of professional practical training that takes place in universities.

Supervize jako forma podpory v pomáhajících profesích / Supervision as a form of support in helping professions

FICALOVÁ, Barbora January 2010 (has links)
The thesis title is Supervision as a Form of Support in the Helping Professions. The translation of the term of supervision is an insight or inspection into a particular problem. Unfortunately, there are still facilities in which supervision is rather considered as inspection. Currently, there is an effort to prove the usefulness of supervision. To the introduction of supervision as part of good practice for workers in helping professions contributes the document issued by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs ?Quality Standards for Social Care Services". Especially in helping professions, this topic is an up-to-date subject and supervision is becoming an integral part of functioning of many institutions. In the theoretical section the basic terms such as stress and burnout in helping professions, supervision, its forms, goals and tools are defined. It deals with the supervision process, supervision contract and quality standards for social care services. The practical part consists of a qualitative research. The research was conducted in five organizations in České Budějovice. The information collection was carried out using interrogation techniques, semi-structured interviews with supervised workers, supervisors, and supervision contracting authorities. The objective of the thesis was to identify whether the supervised persons consider supervision to have a supportive or another function. The data were compiled into case reports and the common points compared. The research has found that supervision does provide most respondents with some kind of support. In addition to its supporting function, supervision is seen as having an educational function. The research results document views of supervised persons on supervision, which may be beneficial for contracting authorities, supervisors and the whole organizations. The results may also serve for a better orientation in the issue of supervision.
