This thesis is dealing with the issue of women in leading positions and possibilities of work – life balance in a selected organization. It is focused on the situation of women in the company and the influence of parenthood on career. Through the use of selected methods the attitudes of employees to managers with children and approaches of managers and manageresses to the issue of harmonization of work and family are analyzed.

The thesis aim is to open an imaginary window into the world of specific activities of radio amateur enthusiasts in the period 1945-1995 from the position of perception of this hobby by its actors-radio amateurs, and by this optics to approach some aspects of metamorphic developmental transformation on the background of historical development. Observing the effects of a concurrent varied spectrum of different influences on the development of this community through the interpretation of narratively accented themes will reveal in the historical reflection the process of change in the radio amateur community. The primary concern, therefore, is to look into the transformation of the community through interpretations of narratively accented dynamic themes and, in some cases, indirectly, in some details, point out the implications of the political activity of the then hegemonic forces as its then-defining platform. The Diploma thesis is focused on attitudes of helping profession to epilepsy. The aim of theoretical part is to introduce life with epilepsy and to increase public awareness of the illness. As a part of the thesis there is refuting myths and prejudices that are often cause of negative attitudes. Helping professions are a main part of life both of epileptics and their families as well their surroundings and their attitudes affect most of it so it is main sample of the research. Theoretical part is divided into few chapters. In the initial chapter there are defined basic concepts important for good orientation in the topic - stereotypes, prejudices and attitudes. Its theories, functions and changes are further described more in detail. This diploma thesis deals with theme of sexual assistance to people with disabilities. Its aim how social workers and social service workers looks at sexuality their clients and use of sexual assistance within residential social services. The research was based on semi-structed interviews. Obtained data are dividet into four categories - access to client sexuality, the way of meeting clients sexual needs, viewing at sexual assistance service, the way organizations participate in providing sexual assistance. The research results show that in most of organizations sexuality belongs among the areas of work with their clients. Some organizations perceived certain obstacles that prevent them from effectively opening or developing the topic of sexuality. In differece experience of organizations that work with sexuality in the form intimate assistance bring positive results and have good assumption for the introduction of active sexual assistance. The thesis is focused on research for children's understanding of social stratification on primary school. The main topic are children's representations of the structure of society regarding occupations. The aim is the diagnoses of children's understanding reflecting the structure of society. It tries to reveal if children on primary school percieve invisible network of statuses and roles that result from the structure of our society and carry social rules and agreements. The diploma thesis deals with the topic of the theoretical establishment of the professional pedagogical chamber in the Czech Republic as a public-law institution in terms of ethical and moral patronage of the teaching profession. The profession of teacher is characterized by thorough and demanding work with people, requiring not only extensive knowledge, which is subsequently passed on to pupils and students, but also respect of moral and ethical principles, which presents teachers in public as a valuable profession, but also sets the model for exemplary and desirable behavior in society. At present, however, there is no public-law self-governing professional organization in the Czech Republic that associates members of the teaching profession and morally and ethically shields their profession, as is done, for example, by the medical or advocacy chamber of their members. This work is focused on the profession of midwifery and supervision in this profession. The main objective was to identify the sources of stress and perceived support midwives in their work and determine, whether the supervision rendering source of support for midwives. The theoretical part is concerned with the context of the profession of midwives and then presents the profession in the Czech Republic, especially the education and competence, as provided for developing legislation. For comparison options are, also presented Conditions profession of midwives in selected European countries. Separate chapters are devoted to sources of stress to which the midwife faced in their work, the concept of resilience as its counterweight and finally sources of support that midwife in the exercise of their profession can earn. In the empirical part of the thesis is a qualitative research technique using focus groups. Its aim is to describe the factors that act as sources of stress or support in the profession of midwives as they see themselves. Surgeons of Prague in historical sources of 18th and 19th century Abstract This diploma thesis uses the archival sources on the surgeons' guild and the papers of the central authorities to explore the position of the surgeons within the medical structure in modern times. All the materials are taken from Prague City Archives, The National Archives and Archive of Charles University in Prague (e.g. laws and statutes, registers of all types, statutes of the guild or university charters, personal documents of the guilds' members). The text is focused on surgeons' gaining independence compared with doctors of medicine and moving away from barbers craft organization. The process of their transition under the supervision of the medical faculty and the official start of surgical studies at the university are examined. Furthermore, the study includes an analysis of the role of the guild, the social status of the surgeons in Prague and the character of their education including transformation in this field during the Enlightenment reforms till the revolutionary year 1848.
