Matavfallssortering för restauranger : En studie av restaurangers möjligheter och inställning till matavfallssortering / Sorting of food waste in restaurants : A study of restaurant's attitudes and potential for sorting of food waste

Öhrvall, Malin January 2013 (has links)
The purpose of this study was to examine attitudes and potential for sorting of food waste at restaurants in the central part of Umeå. The information was gathered through a questionnaire survey and by exploring different sorting methods. The questionnaire was sent to 55 restaurants and 24 of them responded. A majority of the respondents wanted to sort out food waste. 72.8 % believe they have a good or moderate potential to sort out food waste in the future and none of the respondents answered that they believed that they had no means of sorting out food waste. Overall, the restaurants are considered to have good attitudes about sorting food waste. However, this may be because the respondents have a better attitude than those who chose not to respond. The sorting methods were evaluated by reviewing reports written by government agencies and industry associations. Mill systems connected to a tank had the most pros and least cons of the sorting methods, but were expensive to install and required a lot of space. Sorting in individual containers was less expensive and required less space but was considered worse from a working environment standpoint. It seems that a combination of individual containers and a mill system connected to a tank suit most restaurants.

Li, Vera January 2006 (has links)
Electronic commerce is increasingly applied in commercial fields, no exception to construction procurement process. But coming with it, also creates many problems, many of them remain as hot issues for both researchers and stakeholders in industries and have not been solved, though enormous efforts have been offered from different parties involved, among which, ethics in e-commerce enabled construction procurement process stays on top of all. This thesis investigates ethical issues related to the e-commerce application in the construction industry. Research methods used in this study include a thorough literature review, a questionnaire survey, interviews and a case study. These studies were conducted in August 2004. The samples studied in my thesis included a group of 30 experienced construction professionals who were attending a MBA distance learning programme offered by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Beijing. Through these studies, various construction ethical issues such as computer ethics and corruption in the e-commerce enabled construction procurement process are thoroughly discussed and patterns of ethical behaviors were identified. Specifically, through the questionnaire and interviews, it was identified that the majority of the respondents (70%) agreed that ethical atmosphere is almost nonexistent in the China construction industry. The majority (78%) also agreed that there was only a little ethical awareness. However, the majority of respondents (51%) believed that there is a positive relationship between ethical behavior and long-term profitability of the company. On the other hand, the respondents' views were divided when judging the relationship between ethical behaviour and short-term profitability as 40% believed the relationship between ethical behaviour and short-term profitability of the company was uncritical, while 43% believed there was a strong relationship between them. The majority of respondents (63%) also confirmed that ethics was never discussed with companies. When asked on the difficulties encountered in developing a strong ethical awareness in the company, respondents cited various reasons including the lack of support from senior management; prevailing trend in the industry, negative impact on long-term and short-term profitability. The majority of respondents (90%) also chose "keep silent" when asked if they spotted unethical behaviors. Finally, the majority of respondents (90%) believed that unethical behaviors increase the cost of procurement by at least 10%. The interviews and case study reinforced the findings and revealed reasons for the ethical behaviors in China construction industry. Based on these findings, this study has proposed several remedial measures in order to prevent unethical behaviors. In addition, scope for further research is also identified.

Buriánková, Lucie January 2013 (has links)
This diploma thesis is focused to the analysis of sexual education on high schools in Liberec region. The most part of the diploma thesis is composed by the questionnaire survey which was perfomed on two comprehensive schools, two secondary schools and two vocational schools. The research attended the students of the third school classes only (18-19 years old). The questionnaire survey was focused to the students knowledge and attitude towards the sexual education. I have defined 9 hypothesis based on the research which were statistically analyzed after that. It appears that the students of comprehensive schools have better knowledges than the students from other secondary/vocational schools and that the knowledges are different among the boys and girls. The congizance of sexual education generally appear as good. The teachers paying attention to this topic during the lessons because they consider the theme important as well as the students. On the other hand the survey revealed that the students did not learn any news during the school lessons in this respect which they know more likely from the Internet. It shows importance to integrate the sexual lessons to the primary schools rather that. Key words: sexual education, contraception, sexually transmitted infection, questionnaire survey.
