Friends character classification personality quiz

Hedström, Ruben, Lovén, Leon, Mojtahedi, Simon, Malmström, Fredrik January 2021 (has links)
The purpose of this project was to create a personality quiz based on the scientifical method and machine learning that determine which character in the TV-series Friends that the person taking the quiz is the most similar to. The manuscripts from all the episodes were used to extract features and create a split training/test dataset. Different models from the python modules SKLearn and Pytorch, such as neural networks, quadratic discriminant analysis and decision trees, were then trained and evaluated based on their accuracy on the test data and performance metrics such as Akaike information criterion, k- Fold cross-validation and principal component analysis Although gradient boosting provided the highest accuracy with 78%, logistic regression (with an accuracy of 59% after k-fold cross validation) was chosen as the method to base the quiz on since it provided an easier way to distinguish what features were important to which character by analyzing the coefficients of the model. Amongst the features in the training dataset were the 100 most common words for each character and how many times they were spoken. Some of these words were common for all the characters and selected to form a foundation for 10 yes or no questions. The coefficients of the corresponding words for each character were extracted from the logistic regression model and used as weights for the quiz. A normalization was made so that the weights so that each character’s score had a maximum of 100, the quiz was then uploaded and hosted on the website quiz-maker.com. To conclude that only selecting some of the original features did not impair the model's accuracy, a final model was trained with just the words used in the quiz as features. This model had an accuracy of 55%.

Stolní hra otázek a odpovědí jako podpora výuky dějin umění / Table game of questions and answers as a support for teaching the history of art

Poštová, Lucie January 2021 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with the topic of board games. It is divided into three parts, the theoretical, practical and didactic part. In the theoretical part, the author describes iconography of board games and playing board games from the Middle Ages to the present time. The use of board games is interpreted on specific works of art in painting, sculpture and crafts. The practical part was focused on the creation of an art history educational board game, which develops knowledge in the form of a quiz with questions and answers. The game was redesigned as a digital / online version and a mobile application. Versions of the game were created in a unified author's design. In the didactic part, the author examines whether the game is a suitable teaching material for teachers, students and a group of respondents from the general public. It also includes a methodology for secondary school teachers on how to deal with play in teaching.

Modul online testování v informačním systému / Online Quizzes in Information System

Sláma, Pavel January 2007 (has links)
This thesis is trying to find its way in extensive area of relatively new problems of E-learning. E-learning has come together with fast advancement of the Internet trying to make education more comfortable and faster and at the same time trying to lower its dependency on the human resources. A lot of a development of the online tests is still needed. However, it is important to make clear the rules of the "game" and to press for their integration. The first goal to achieve the full-value system which would be able to substitute the conventional methods of education is to find out and solve the issues of testing in general, to analyze the requirements and to create data format for the data portability, which is required because of the mutual communication between different systems. On these bases it is possible to design the database scheme and then the complete system.

Measuring the impact of information security awareness on social networks through password cracking

Okesola, Julius Olatunji 12 1900 (has links)
Since social networks (SNs) have become a global phenomenon in almost every industry, including airlines and banking, their security has been a major concern to most stakeholders. Several security techniques have been invented towards this but information security awareness (hereafter “awareness”) remains the most essential amongst all. This is because users, an important component of awareness, are a big problem on the SNs regardless of the technical security implemented. For SNs to improve on their awareness techniques or even determine the effectiveness of these security techniques, many measurement and evaluation techniques are in place to ascertain that controls are working as intended. While some of these awareness measurement techniques are inexpensive, effective and efficient to some extent, they are all incident-driven as they are based on the occurrence of (an) incident(s). In addition, these awareness measurement techniques may not present a true reflection of awareness, since many cyber incidents are often not reported. Hence, they are generally adjudged to be post mortem and risk-permissive. These limitations are major and unacceptable in some industries such as insurance, airlines and banking, where the risk tolerance level is at its lowest. This study therefore aims to employ a technical method to develop a non-incident statistics approach of measuring awareness efforts. Rather than evaluating the effectiveness of awareness efforts by the success of attacks or occurrence of an event, password cracking is presented and implemented to proactively measure the impacts of awareness techniques in SNs. The research encompasses the development and implementation of an SN – sOcialistOnline, the literature review of the past related works, indirect observation (available information), survey (as a questionnaire in a quiz template), and statistical analysis. Consequently, measurement of awareness efforts is shifted from detective and corrective paradigms to preventive and anticipatory paradigms, which are the preferred information security approaches going by their proactive nature. / Engineering, Science & Technology / D. Proměna vědomostních soutěží v českých televizích / The transformation of czech TV quiz shows

Švestka, Jan January 2012 (has links)
Main task of this work is to find out the answers to the questions of the television quiz shows genre development. The work deals with foreign countries development, but the main attention is fixed to Czech republic and Czech full-area broadcasting media, which emphasise general matters. Concretely these television companies: Česká televize, Nova, Prima a Barrandov. The work emphasises the problem of formats originality. The time spread is since January 1993 to April 2012. A quiz shows development before 1993 is mentioned, but the analysis does not contain that. The analysis shows four copied quiz shows development. These examples uncover the variations of the quiz shows formats copying and domestication. They reveal the rules of the copying and domestication. They show the transformation of the quiz shows during recent years. The work tries to solve a few questions about the Czech quiz shows and their partial problems. Has the hosts behaviour changed? What about the hosts gender? Is there more men or women in the quiz shows? Is the number of recently broadcasted quiz shows higher than the number of the quiz shows, which were broadcasted nineteen years ago? What about the relation of the quiz shows production and social changes? Have the western models affected Czech quiz shows production? If so,...

Motivating Students to Engage in Preparation for Flipped Classrooms by Using Embedded Quizzes in Pre-class Videos

Jones, Emily P., Wahlquist, Amy E., Hortman, Melissa, Wisniewski, Christopher S. 01 January 2021 (has links)
BACKGROUND: The success of flipped classrooms is dependent upon students' preparation prior to class, the lack of which is the most common challenge associated with this teaching methodology. To mitigate this limitation, it is important to develop and assess methods of engaging learners during pre-class activities. OBJECTIVE: To determine if quiz delivery method (embedded throughout versus after pre-class videos) affects students' knowledge retention, grades, and video viewing behavior. METHODS: Participating students were randomized to take quizzes, either during pre-class videos via Panopto (EQV) or after pre-class videos in the traditional manner via Moodle (TMM). Outcomes assessed included students' knowledge retention, scores on pre- and post-class quizzes, and pre-class video viewing behavior (total views and minutes viewed per student) during a three-week period. Having experienced both quizzing modalities during the semester, the perceptions from students in the EQV group were surveyed. RESULTS: Baseline assessment results of both groups (n = 27 per group) were comparable with a median score of 33% (IQR: 17, 50) in both groups. Performance was also similar on knowledge retention [TMM: 67% (50, 83) vs. EQV: 83% (50, 83)], pre-class quiz scores [TMM: 90% (87, 97) vs. EQV: 93% (90, 95)], and post-class quiz scores [TMM: 93% (80, 100) vs. EQV: 87% (80, 100)], while students in the EQV group had more total views [10 (8, 12)] vs. [5 (2, 11)] and minutes viewed [71 (36, 108) vs. 35 (15, 81)]. Results from the perception survey administered to students in the EQV group (74.1% response rate) indicated a preference for embedded quizzes overall (58%) and for class preparation (75%) when compared with post-video quizzes. CONCLUSION: Students' knowledge retention and performance were similar in both EQV and TMM groups, though students in the EQV group were more engaged with videos and most of them preferred this quiz delivery. Using embedded quizzes for formative rather than summative assessment might be an appropriate mechanism to encourage students' viewing of pre-class videos and their preparation for flipped classes.
