Vart fan är vi på väg? : En kvalitativ studie om den unga vuxna publikens uppfattning av frågesportprogrammen På spåret och Alla mot alla

Ränkeskog, Gustaf, Jacobson, Lukas January 2020 (has links)
The intent of this bachelor thesis is to specify the reasons why the young adult audience consumes the Swedish television quiz programs Alla mot alla and På spåret, which needs the programs might fulfill and the difference between the two programs. The study also reflects on the difference between similar quiz programs on commercial vs. public service television. To accomplish any results this study has completed six qualitative and semi-structured interviews. The respondents are in the age of 20 to 30 years and they all have consumed each show on a regular basis before the interviews have taken place. The young adult audience strives to obtain information, knowledge and entertainment from both of the two programs, but notices distinct differences in the use of language, humor and facts. The study also shows that the quiz programs fulfills the cognitive and emotional needs, but in different ways. The study relates to the uses and gratification theory and the genre theory.

A Discussion of different teaching strategies adopted during a Statistics tutorial

Pavlika, Vasos 31 May 2012 (has links) (PDF)
In this discusses four different approaches used during a statistics tutorial of a group of first year undergraduates studying computer science related degrees at the University of Westminster UK. The four approaches were each implemented in an attempt to keep the students interested in the statistics topics delivered. It was found that “Chalk and Talk” (i.e. board work) was not the best form of imparting knowledge to the students of the group as determined by student analysing feedback forms and generally observing student behaviour and listening to student comments over a number of years delivering statistics topics. The duration of each tutorial was two hours. The teaching strategies adopted were: a) A class quiz. b) Group explanation of material to members of the individual’s group. c) Group explanation of material to members of the entire class. d) Students teaching at the front of the class. Each of the methods will now be discussed with the relative merits and defects included for a comparison. It was found that each method worked better at the end of each module when the students were more familiar with the topics introduced on the module.

Učební portfolio z Biologie člověka pro vzdělávací obor Přírodopis / Human Biology teaching portfolio for education subject Biology

HLASOVÁ, Zuzana January 2011 (has links)
The aim of the thesis is to create a teaching portfolio with special attention to the educational content of Human Biology. Instructional manuals are created for teaching natural science at primary school and are focused on selected systems in Biology of the human being, which are: muscle system, breathing system, circulation system, digest system, sensuous system, and a chapter about nourishment. Regarding the present?day School educational programmes the teachers themselves choose the year in which they would teach the educational topics of Biology of the human being. The portfolio is drafted as the methodical aid for teachers and instructional activities for pupils that lead to improvement of teaching methods and better understanding particular terms and relations between the structure and function of human body. The educational portfolio consists of working sheets, practical tasks and tests that help to vary teaching methods and add a lot of matters of interest, physiology experiments and testing to the classical approach to teaching Human Biology.

The Virtual Donation Challenge : How might we increase the understanding of each other's wishes on organ donation?

Rydell, Erik January 2012 (has links)
Fifty percent of the Swedish population is not aware of their relatives’ wishes on organ donation. It happens that some family members use their veto when they are asked to confirm their dead family member’s wish on organ donation and thereby preventing a potential transplant. If more people would be aware of this issue and tell each other what their standpoint is, we could help the health care to identify more organ donors and thus help more people to a better life. The project lead to an educational and physical exercise based application for tablets aimed for sixteen years old pupils where they by walking around in the physical space, learn about the organs and get physical exercise at the same time. The app is meant for schools since the school has the responsible to educate the pupils about different types of physical exercise and lifestyle. Moreover, tablets are becoming increasingly common in the schools. I was influenced by an application called Zombies Run that focuses on creating a story by collecting virtual supplies while being running outside. Some statements from the research influenced me. A lady stated that she used to take her daughter out to walk the dog as much as possible because her daughter was at risk of becoming overweight. A Donor Coordinating Doctor stated a thoughtful sentence during a workshop “Would you be willing to receive an organ if you needed a transplant? Donate your organs after death so it is possible” The Virtual Donation Challenge is an application aimed at sixteen year old pupils for educational purposes. The school is responsible for giving the students education about lifestyles, different types of exercises and CPR education, I found it most appropriate to link the application to the Physical Education subject or even Natural Science subject. The application is a quiz and the questions are linked to local GPS coordinates which the users have to visit in order to answer the questions about organ donation and how the interdisciplinary processes in the body work.

Problematické úlohy typu multiple-choice / Problematic multiple-choice problems

Venderová, Markéta January 2017 (has links)
This thesis tries to answer the question what impact on the results in Mathematical Kangaroo competition has inclusion of specific curriculum into the School Education Program. The work focuses on multiple-choice type of tasks, where pupils fall short of success. Pupils can meet such tasks in mathematical competitions and research. The work is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The first part, makes readers familiar with current situation regarding mathematical competitions in Czech environment and defines terms related to the issue. It also characterizes selected competitions in which primary school pupils are involved, and focuses more on competition Mathematical Kangaroo. The empirical part describes methodology of qualitative research, aimed to verify the effect of inclusion specific curriculum in mathematics into the School Education Program on results of competition Mathematical Kangaroo. In this section two surveys are processed and analyzed, that took place during the school years 2014/2015 and 2015/2016 at complete primary school. The surveys were based on an analysis of tasks from competition Mathematical Kangaroo, analysis of textbooks, School Education Program and other school documents. Further there were conducted semi structured interviews with teachers and pupils, which...
