Studium vhodnosti odrůd kdouloní pro oblast úpatí Nízkého JeseníkuŠkardová, Pavlína January 2013 (has links)
The present work evaluates the collection of selected varieties and species of phenotypes Cydonia oblonga Mill, in the climatic and soil conditions of the foothills of Nízký Jeseník Mountains. The collection consisted of: 'Blanár'; 'BO-3'; 'Brna'; 'Buchlovice'; 'Hruškovitá'; 'Champion'; 'Ironda'; 'Izobilnaja'; 'Jurák'; 'Kocurova'; 'Leskovačka'; 'Mir'; 'Morava'; 'Muškátová'; 'Otličnica'; 'Pinter'; 'Selena'; 'Triumph'; 'Úspěch' and 'Vranja', planted in the Paseka municipality. The growth characteristics were monitored as were production quality, pollen germination, starting of selected phenological phases and the sensory features of raw fruit and jam were assessed. The temperatures and precipitation values of the chosen planting location were discovered to be close to the climatic values of Žabčice area. Considering the growth characteristics for the selected plantation area it appears the most suitable phenotypes are 'Brna' and cultivar 'Vranja'. Because of the possibility of late spring frosts, more suitable varieties for growing would be 'Champion'; 'Jurák' and 'Kocurova'. Due to the early termination of the vegetation the varieties 'Champion', 'Ironda', 'Leskovačka' and 'Muškátová' and phenotype' BO- 3' could also be recommended. In the assessed collection of sensory score, the best value was acheived by the variety 'Otličnica'. Other observed characteristics showed considerable variability. Under the climatic conditions, the successful cultivation of quince in the foothills of the Nízký Jeseník Mountains seems possible and in the future, quince could become a commercially exploited commodity in this area.

Effect of competition on resprouting and sprout growth of temperate treesPatra, Lukáš January 2017 (has links)
Presented thesis is focused on competition, sprout growth and resprouting ability of temperate trees. The main aim was to analyse the effect of competition on resprouting success and sprout growth of selected trees. Calculations are based on sprout size measurements of selected resprouting trees on pre-existing TARMAG II experimental plot near Soběšice, the Czech Republic. Appropriate allometric equations were used to determine biomass of individual trees and pre- and post-harvest competition indices. Statistical analysis disclosed that pre-harvest and post-harvest competition can significantly affect sprout growth of temperate trees, but can differ among species and has variable effect onto the growth. Results also clearly showed that pre-harvest competition did not affect resprouting ability of Quercu spetraea. The results indicate that thinning of sprouts in the early stage of coppice development could support sprout growth and thus biomass production.

Impact of Research and Development on Economic Growth: Evidence from European Industrial SectorAdjei, David Danquah January 2014 (has links)
The main objective of this thesis is to analyze and estimate the impact of research and development (R&D) on the economy of the EU. The impact of Labour Force and Gross Fixed Capital Formation are also investigated alongside. Using Ordinary Least Squares method and data from 1993 to 2013, the results show that R&D in the form of Gross Expenditure on R&D in the EU plays a positive significant role in economic growth as well as the other factors; labour force and gross fixed capital formation. Graphical analysis of factors that influence R&D in member states show that the R&D efforts and intensities are very dissimilar. Based on these, this paper recommends a two-prong approach by the EU to increase R&D and Innovation intensity by focusing on increasing R&D intensity in both private and public sectors of individual member states. Apart from governments providing more fiscal support for R&D, the EU is advised to introduce a more detailed R&D scoreboard which will cover both private and public sectors of member states to highlight the real situation of R&D in the Union. This paper concludes that the EU 3% target of R&D intensity by the year 2020 is only possible if they will focus more on increasing the intensity as recommended

Zhodnocení růstu a základních ukazatelů jatečné hodnoty jehňat šumavské ovce a jejich křížencůKoutná, Svatava January 2014 (has links)
This dissertation was aimed at evaluation of growth and basic indicators of carcass value of sumavska sheep lambs and its crossbreeds with texel sheep. In all there were 79 lambs monitored of following genotypes; S100, S 50 T 50, S 75 T 25, T 75 S 25. This research was executed at a family farm in town of Proseč. In scope of this evaluation of lamb growth live weight at birth, in 70 days of age, 100 days of age and before slaughter was observed. Investigation was carried in terms of observation (for full monitored file) effect of genotype, gender, litter size, genotype`s interaction vs. gender and genotype`s interaction vs. litter size on growth ability indicators, more precisely on live weight and lambs` daily weight gain. Genotype impact, gender, litter size, genotype`s interaction vs. gender and genotype`s interaction vs. litter size had highly provable influence on most of monitored live weights. With regards to the daily weight gains, highly provable influence of the above mentioned indicators on majority daily weight gains was recorded here also. Results of check slaughter show that genotype had provable influence on most carcass value's monitored indicators. Highly provable genotype effect was recorded on live weight before slaughter, slaughter age, slaughter ready body weight, skin ratio, kidney ratio and flesh ratio. Conclusive impact was recorded on yield and kidney weight. To conclude this from genotype`s perspective, the highest gain was recorded on S 75 T 25 and the lowest gain on T 75 S 25. From carcass value point of view, relatively best results were ascertained for crossbreeds S 50 T 50.

Zhodnocení růstu jehňat plemene lacauneŠínová, Jana January 2015 (has links)
The aim of this study was evaluated the growth of lambs Lacaune dairy breed. Monitoring was carried out on the family farm in Brníčko near Zábřeh na Moravě. Altogether, the study includes 168 lambs. The evaluation of growth was determined by live weight of lambs at birth, a tweaning (40 days of age) and 100 days of age. All these live weight was observed average daily gain at intervals of 0 - 40, 40 - 100, 0 - 100 days of age. The growth rate of lambs was evaluated in relation to sex, litter size, maternal age and ram used in reproduction. It was found that maternal age had a highly signifiant effect on birth weight and signifiant effect on live body weight at 100 days of age. Sex lambs had a signifiant effect on all tracked live body weight and average daily gain among birth weight. Litter size had signifiant effect on all tracked live body weights. Line of ram used in reproduction had no signifiant effect on growth or average daily gain of lambs.
