Ekonomické aspekty rozhodování o investicích do lidského kapitálu / Economic aspects of decision about investment into human capital

Kubík, Rudolf January 2007 (has links)

Portrayal of Economic Growth Value (content analysis of chosen czech daily newspapers).

Doležal, Jan January 2008 (has links)
Diploma thesis on Portrayal of Economic Growth Value is a content analysis of chosen czech daily papers. It is engaged in questions of economic growth (and gross domestic product) and its significance in daily papers Blesk, Hospodářské noviny, Mladá fronta Dnes and Právo. The aim is to discover value dimensions of economic growth portrayal. The study come out from those authors who has criticall approach to the problems of economic growth, mind its negative social and environmental effects, and dispute its desirability and legitimacy. Also there are presented findings from media studies, which are related to the role of media when the acceptable picture of world is beeing established. The critique of economic growth and the reflections of media role when the current social order is reproduced are connected in one question: what is the way in which the media participate on common acceptance of economic growth through portrayal of its value dimensions. Through application of content analysis method the study try to answer the question if economic growth is pictured in a positive or negative way and which picture is prevailing. The study answer the question if there are rather those pictures which shows that economic growth is a positive value, or those which refuse or dispute economic growth or point out that...

The dependency of the standard of living in Southern Africa on land as the main factor of GDP growth

Mukucha, Charlotte Prisca January 2019 (has links)
The Southern African region is constantly in debate regarding land management and redistribution from the hands of colonisers who are the minority to the black majority, the argument behind being that it is empowerment and indigenisation of the locals. One of the most ‘famous’ land reform programmes occurred in Zimbabwe, 2000 which did not go so well as anticipated and planned. Yet some African leaders think that this was a bold move made by Africa’s longest serving president and oldest ( the late R.G.Mugabe), and intend to follow the same route while in some countries such as Namibia and Tanzania are slowing repossessing the land. This paper seeks to investigate if ever since land reforms began in the region if the countries have managed to achieve the most basic and important development as interpreted by the Millennium Development Goals that is reducing hunger and poverty by 50% throughout the life span of the MDGs. Simply put the goal is to asses if land is efficiently put to use as it is regarded the main source of living in developing countries. The literature review analysed what constitutes development, how it can be achieved and how it is measured. Studies have proved that agriculture is a vital part of the region and Africa at large. This study made use of secondary annual aggregated data from databases of international institutions. Unit roots tests were applied and regression analysis was applied to ascertain the importance of the agricultural sector in the region. The results show that despite the agricultural sector employing majority of the people it is failing to produce favourable economic results but rather worsening the situation. However the situation can be salvaged to improve the sector’s performance.

Ověření účinků organické hmoty na růst révy vinné a kvalitativní parametry hroznů

Zatloukal, Patrik January 2019 (has links)
In the vineyards, in two different locations – Lednice and Velké Bílovice, the experiments were carried out to verify the influence of compos and lignohumat-enriched compos applied to the area of the trunk to increase the growth of grapevine and then grape yield. The amount of humus applied in the autumn 2017 was 30 t·ha-1. The initial measurements were aimed to compare the length of the additions to the annual rings and yields of harvested grapes, which suggest a predominantly positive effect in relation to the compost application. At the Lednice station, the length of annual rings of the fertilized variants was 8–16% higher and the yield was 16–23% lower for the fertilized variants compared to the non-fertilized control variant. At the site of Velké Bílovice, the length of annual rings of the fertilized variants was 4 to 10% longer and the yield up to 23% higher for the fertilized variants compared to the non-fertilized control variant.

Monitoring tvorby dřeva a lýka buku lesního (Fagus sylvatica L.) na buněčné úrovni na výzkumné ploše Rájec - Holíkov

Veteška, Ondřej January 2018 (has links)
Monitoring of cambial activity in sample trees during growing season 2013 and 2014 was the aim of this thesis. This study summarizes the findings about the variations in the cambial zone, the radial increment of stems, the differentiation process of xylem and phloem formation. The changes in cambial zone observed at the cellular level were made possible by the periodical sampling. Periodical samples - microcores were taken with the Trephor tool at weekly intervals from March to November. The permanent microscope slides were made of microcores. The number of the permanent microscope slides provided information about the actual cambial activity at the time of sampling. Variations and results of the cambial activity were evaluated in relation to the climatic conditions of the research site. The unfavorable climatic conditions were noted in the growth response of sample trees, especially in 2014. The radial xylem increment was 1012±489 µm in 2014. The maximum daily increment of xylem 13±4 µm was recorded between 29 May and 26 June 2014. The total tree ring width was 1655±444 µm in 2013. The maximum daily increment of xylem 27±13 µm was recorded between 13 June and 11 July 2013. The xylem formation lasted for 91 days in 2013. The xylem formation was 9 days shorter in 2014.

The Relationship Between Exports and Economic Growth In Ghana: A Five Year Gap Comparison

Kyei-Baffour, Rosca January 2019 (has links)
Abstract Kyei-Baffour, Rosca. The Relationship Between Exports And Economic Growth in Ghana: A Five Year Gap Comparison. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2019. This master thesis seeks to analyze the relationship that exists between Exports and economic growth in Ghana over a fifteen (15) year period from 1991 through to 2017. This duration defines the transition and implementation of export-oriented policies for the economy of Ghana. Before this study, inspiration is taken from Enu et al., 2013 who have examined the challenges and opportunities of the exports sector in Ghana and this study seeks to contribute to the already existing studies conducted in this area. More so, the study investigates the differing temporal effects of exports to the economy of Ghana. An Ordinary Least Square (OLS) estimation technique was adopted for the study. Also, five-year moving averages were computed and estimated to examine the five-year gap effect of exports on economic growth. Specifically, the Export-Led Growth (ELG) hypothesis and the framework developed by Fosu in 1990 was used to aid in the analysis. The results indicated that there is a positive effect of exports on economic growth and it was concluded that Export-Led Growth Strategy remains valid for Ghana during the study period. Recommendations such as encouraging consumption of locally produced commodities were suggested.

Ovlivnění odpovědí rostlin k teplotnímu stresu modulací hladin cytokininů a giberelinů

Kharkevich, Kristina January 2017 (has links)
Plants are sessile organisms which are very much affected by global climate change. In order to prevent themselves by overheating Arabidopsis plants induce growth to cool themselves more efficiently. Growth response to increased ambient temperature is modulated by different classes of hormones. Despite their importance in proliferation, effect of cytokinins under increased ambient temperature haven been studied in details so far. Experiments with transgenic plants expressing bacterial gene ipt and Hordeum vulgare gene HvCKX revealed that increased and also decreased levels of cytokinins affect morphometric parameters of Arabidopsis seedlings and plants. Experiments with mutant lines revealed that cytokinin-induced growth responses are independent of light signalling and response regulators controlling circadian rhythm. Combine experiments with pharmacological substance and genetic mutants show that cytokinin-induced growth responses under heat stress are independent of gibberellin signalling pathway. Formula clause:I herewith request that my Diploma thesis (Cytokinins and gibberellins induced changes in growth response to heat stress) is excluded from the open public access granted in accordance with the Section 47b of Act No. 111/1998 Coll., on Higher Education Institutions and the alterations and amendments thereto.
