Diplomová práce se zabývá italskou zahraniční politikou vlády koalice Domu svobod v letech 2001-2006 se zaměřením na bezpečnostní problematiku. Charakterizuje tradiční priority italské zahraniční politiky, na jejichž základě sleduje vývoj zahraničněpolitického kurzu Itálie pod vedením Silvia Berlusconiho. Analýza transatlantických vztahů je doplněna pojednáním o postoji Itálie k evropskému integračnímu procesu a k vybraným strategickým sférám italského národního zájmu. Cílem práce je zhodnotit pravdivost hypotézy o změně tradiční zahraničněpolitické orientace Itálie, která je s touto vládou často dávána do spojitosti. Poslední kapitola je z tohoto důvodu věnována postavení Itálie v boji proti terorismu, které představuje jeden ze základních bodů sporu.

The thesis deals with one of the international relations theories - realism. It examines the presence of realism in discussions about the German foreign policy on the ground of the parliament of Germany. Key concepts of realism and liberalism are defined in the introduction. The aim is to evaluate the presence of the realistic rhethoric used by particular political parties. The situation is described on three cases of the German foreign policy - discussions about China, Georgia and Turkey. The thesis is based on stenographic protocols of parliamentary debates covering the proper period.

Wir haben jetzt, nachdem wir über die Institutionen gesprochen haben am Vormittag und auch über persönliche Schicksale und persönliche Befindlichkeiten, einen Gegenstand der Musikästhetik vor uns, und zwar insbesondere jene musikästhetische Position, die die offizielle Position der sozialistischen Länder und nicht nur der DDR war. Sie sehen es am Thema – Sozialistischer Realismus und Widerspiegelungstheorie. Das heißt, wir gehen jetzt in die musikalische Praxis, die, wie Sie gleich hören werden, sehr wohl politisch indoktriniert wurde. Ich glaube, ich brauche die beiden Redner hier nicht weiter vorzustellen: Klaus Mehner, Professor für Systematische Musikwissenschaft an der Universität Leipzig, zeitweise auch Direktor des Instituts und durch zahlreiche Publikationen hervorgetreten, und Siegfried Matthus, erfolgreicher Komponist, auch im Westen, und jeder wird auf seine Art zu diesem Thema etwas sagen, und dann werden wir sehen, wie groß und wie weit die Diskussion eröffnet werden muss.

The aim of this thesis is to explain the dynamic of Taiwanese foreign policy in relation to the Peoples Republic of China since the late 1980s to the present by using three theoretical traditions of international relations. To that end, several hypotheses will be formulated after analysing these traditions (realist, liberal and constructivist) and then applied on the subject of this research. The dependent variable was identified as the conflictive attitude of Taiwanese foreign policy in a given time period. In terms of methodology this is a case study. This research is divided into four chapters the first of which analyses the above mentioned theoretical traditional. The second part briefly describes the historical context necessary to understand the problematic nature of Taiwanese national identity. The third chapter analyses Taiwanese foreign policy in relation to China during time periods representing the terms of office of three democratic presidents of Taiwan. The last fourth chapter is to the analysis of independent variables and the evaluation of hypotheses. My thesis is focused on critical analysis of political thought of American philosopher Judith Butler. Butler is concerned with the relationship between individual identity and collective subjectivity, and her works - which caused many critical reactions - represent one of the most interesting discussion in the field of feminist political philosophy. Butler is mainly concerned with the question, how various political strategies (eg. feminism) could be based on common interests of various agents, and not on their supposedly stable identity (eg. sex and gender). Her criticism of unproblematized "natural" identities is important not only to the constitution of any individual identity, but also for the notion of the political dimension of a collective subject. The introductory chapters of my thesis are concerned with early thought of Butler, mainly with her critical relationship to the "second wave" feminism, and with her notion of the performative constitution of gender identity. Next chapters explore the shift in her thinking from analysis of gender and sex towards more general themes of political thought: nation, race, class, universalism, state censorship, possibility of resistance or emergence of a collective subject without stable unifying principle. The diploma thesis tries to define the problematic of the fantastic and magic in Central European literature. It captures a selection of works published between the second half of the 20th century until today in which unrealistic elements are markedly presented (such as imaginary space, function of dreams, blending of natural and unnatural as well as myths) and time has a specific function. The main focus is on authors such as Daniela Hodrová, Daniel Kehlmann, Saša Stanišić, Olga Tokarczuk and Jáchym Topol. The aim of this work is to find out whether it is possible to understand Central European literature in categories such as magical realism or the fantastic, or whether Central Europe is so saturated with Western rationalism that all attempts to find magic fail.

The preliminary scope of work of this thesis, following the neo-classical realisms methodology of analyzing, we intend to find out Taiwans foreign policy trajectory. We want to know under what circumstances and domestic situation, Taiwan chooses to follow what foreign policies. Through the analysis of objective power (which includes economy, technology, military, and International relations), and with internal political situation (which is mainly focused on elites perceptionsof the country) , we hope to find out the patterns of the foreign policy and possibly contribute to future foreign policy insight. The thesis found out that due to Taiwans constitutional type which is a semi-presidential system, Taiwans foreign policies are heavily aligned with the leaders perceptions and interpretations under the unified government. The leaders view, on the other hand, is still heavily influenced by their traditional party's stands and the goals for both two parties in recent years after democratization are always seeking more visibility in international relations and reduce the threats. The different methods and approaches applied by the leaders resulted in completely different outcomes of the objective power of Taiwan and also the changes in the opinions of citizens over the years. This thesis is about the military conflict in eastern and southern territories of Ukraine, including the Crimean crisis and War in the Donbas area that took place from 2014 till this present time (2020). According to international law, these regions are still part of Ukraine, however, Russia de facto controls the Crimea Peninsula and the Donbass region. Due to dissatisfaction with the dismissal of Ukrainian President Yanukovych, Crimea opposed the new central government with the help of Russian military forces. Subsequently, they elected their own parliament and voted to declare independence. They then successfully held a referendum on whether to "return" to Russia which is biased and condemned by the international community. The referendum claimed to be passed with a very high number of votes although both the turnout and the votes in favor have been questioned, then Crimea officially joined the Russian Federation. The results of the Crimean referendum were not accepted by the Ukrainian government, and Russia was also sanctioned by the Western-based international community due to this crisis. What's more, part of the pro-Russian region in eastern Ukraine has also followed the independence of Crimea and intended to "rejoin" Russia Federal. The subject of my practical diploma thesis is a painting reaction to the photographs from years 1915 to 1930. I see them as a " photographs of dead(lost) world. The photographs of people whose dont live in present but the photographs are evidence of their existence in the past.
