Moderní metody denitrifikace uhelných kotlů / Modern denitrification methods of coal fired boilers

Nárovec, Jiří January 2015 (has links)
Jsou uvažovány dvě možné varianty denitrifikace – varianta 1 využívá selektivní katalytickou redukci (SCR) a varianta 2 selektivní nekatalytickou redukci (SNCR) společně s nízkoemisními hořáky a stupňovaným přívodem spalovacího vzduchu.

Výslovnostní redukce na úrovni slov ve spontánní řeči a identifikovatelnost řečových jednotek / Word-level pronunciation reduction in spotaneous speech and identification of speech units

Tomanová, Eliška January 2012 (has links)
The thesis deals with the issue of word-level pronunciation reductions and with the identification of reduced word forms. The first part of the thesis focuses on the degree of the phonetic features' stability and presents an analysis of selected words from dialogues with a high degree of spontaneity. The results of this research confirm that the most stable features of speech are the fricativness of sibilants and / /ř , voice, the formant structure of vowels and the nasality of the nasal consonant. The closure of the explosives and the quality of vowels prove, on the other hand, to be relatively unstable features. The second part of the thesis focuses on perceptual tests, which are used to verify the identifiability of the selected words in relation to the degree of reduction and the type and complexity of the context. Furthemore, the thesis tries to determine the phonetic features, which are under given conditions relevant for the appropriate identification of words. The research proved, that the most often noted phonetic features correspond to the above mentioned features with high stability. Moreover, it was also confirmed, that the recognizability of words depends on the degree of their reduction and the type of the context: strongly reduced words without any context tend to be very difficult...

Dimension Reduction Techniques in Morhpometrics / Dimension Reduction Techniques in Morhpometrics

Kratochvíl, Jakub January 2011 (has links)
This thesis centers around dimensionality reduction and its usage on landmark-type data which are often used in anthropology and morphometrics. In particular we focus on non-linear dimensionality reduction methods - locally linear embedding and multidimensional scaling. We introduce a new approach to dimensionality reduction called multipass dimensionality reduction and show that improves the quality of classification as well as requiring less dimensions for successful classification than the traditional singlepass methods.

Změny lipidového spektra během redukce hmotnosti pacientů s diabetes mellitus / Changes of lipid spectrum during body mass reduction in patients with diabetes mellitus

Šmídová, Barbora January 2013 (has links)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biochemical Sciences Candidate: Bc. Barbora Šmídová Supervisor: Prof. MUDr. Jaroslav Dršata, CSc. Supervisor - specialist: RNDr. Mgr. Alena Tichá, PhD. Title of diploma thesis: CHANGES OF LIPID SPECTRUM DURING BODY MASS REDUCTION IN PATIENTS WITH DIABETES MELLITUS The thesis deals with the determination of lipid parameters (plasma total fatty acids, plasma total cholesterol, lipoprotein cholesterol, plasma triglycerides, plasma cholesterol precursors (lathosterol and squalene) and markers of cholesterol absorption (β-sitosterol and campesterol)) in obese patiens with diabetes mellitus type 1 and type 2 who were tested with a seven-day fasting, followed by low-calorie diabetic diet. It is assumed that weight loss should improve insulin resistence. The aim of this work is to evaluate the lipid parameters during the body weight reduction in obese patients suffering with diabetes mellitus. Lipids were determined before and after a seven-day fasting and after one month from the beginning of fasting (in patiens with diabetes mellitus type 1 also after one year). Gas chromatography was used for the determination of fatty acids and non-cholesterol sterols and squalene. Cholesterol and triglycerides were determined by a routine...

Porovnání interakcí ekvolu a desmethylangolensinu se železem a mědí / Comparison of interactions of equol and desmethylangolensin with iron and copper

Němcová, Hana January 2018 (has links)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmaceutical Botany Candidate: Hana Němcová Supervisor: PharmDr. Jana Karlíčková, Ph.D. Title of Thesis: Comparison of interactions of equol and desmethylangolensin with iron and copper Iron and copper are essential trace elements, which are important for our body. Both elements have a significant effect on the correct function of organs and make part of many enzymes. They are able to accept or donate electrons - conversion between oxidized (Fe3+, Cu2+) and reduced (Fe2+, Cu+) forms. If these metals are excess in organism, they are accumulated in the cells and mediate the creation of free radicals, that destroy cell structures. This deficiency is treated with chelators, which facilitate the excretion of metals from the body. Isoflavonoids are polyfenolic substances, which can have antioxidant effects and they are involved in the scavening of free radicals. Isoflavonoids can have also a pro-oxidative effect, because they are able to reduce metal ions. In this study were tested interactions (chelation and reduction) between the metabolites of isoflavonoids (equol and desmethylangolensin) and ions of iron and copper. Both metabolites only weakly chelate metal ions, but they significantly reduce cupric ions. KEYWORDS: Iron,...

Interakce tamarixetinu a isorhamnetinu s mědí / Interactions of tamarixetin and isorhamnetin with copper

Lomozová, Zuzana January 2019 (has links)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmaceutical Botany Candidate: Zuzana Lomozová Supervisor: PharmDr. Jana Karlíčková, Ph.D. Title of Thesis: Interactions of tamarixetin and isorhamnetin with copper Keywords: tamarixetin, isorhamnetin, chelation, reduction, copper, bathocuproine, hematoxylin Copper is a biogenic trace element important for proper function of human organism. It is an essential part of several enzymes and is involved in metabolic processes in the body. Excess or lack of serum copper can lead to pathological conditions. Copper chelating agents are used to treat copper toxic effects. Flavonoids are polyphenolic substances belonging to secondary metabolites of various plants. They are part of the human diet and have a positive impact on our health. They exhibit antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects and are able to chelate transient metals, especially iron and copper. Chelation therapy is currently used in Wilson's disease in which copper is overloaded. In the future, the chelating effects of flavonoids could be used to treat neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases or cancer. In this diploma thesis, interactions of two flavonoids (namely tamarixetin and isorhamnetin) with copper ions in different buffers were tested....

Fonetické rysy hlasitého čtení slov a pseudoslov a jejich percepční odezva / Phonetic features in loud reading of words and non-words, and their perceptual impact

Fischerová, Jana January 2018 (has links)
The recipient in communication is influenced by many complex phenomena through which he or she subconsciously evaluates some personality traits of the speaker. In the current study we are dealing with the question of whether phonetic features also enter into this personal evaluation and how much they can influence perception. As research material we used recordings of 20 speakers 11-15 years old, from which 80 audio items were selected. The items varied by their length (two-syllables vs. four-syllables), existence in the lexicon of the Czech language (real words vs. non-words) and also in the number of speech problems that occurred in them (reduction, assimilation, non-continuous speech etc.). These problematic moments were identified before the creation of the perceptual test and scored by the author of the study and by another student of phonetics. These score points served as the basis for an objective phonetic evaluation, which was later related to the assessment from the respondents. The perceptual test (with versions A and B) was made up of 40 items and was divided into 5 parts according to questions which were concerned with different angles such as the personality traits of diligence and acceptability. These features are part of the Five-Factor Model of Personality and can be included under...
