Možnosti využití vybraných bezobratlých v odpadovém hospodářství

Žáková, Markéta January 2015 (has links)
Biodegradable waste (BDW) is most commonly processed by composting or anaerobic fermentation, but its composition is not always suitable for these procedures. Therefore, the aim of this dissertation thesis was to find out what possibilities and consequences of using Stratiomyidae Hermetia illucens (HI) in the waste management of the Czech Republic are. In order to meet the objectives of this thesis a total of 14 different types of waste has been selected. Plant tissue waste, kitchen waste, waste from soup kitchens, manure, poor quality and culled municipal biodegradable waste were found as the best types of waste for being reduced by HI larvae. Furthermore, it was found that Californian earthworm are more suitable for producing fertilizers, conversely HI are suitable for reducing BDW. The most favourable conditions for HI so that they are able to reduce waste are enclosed spaces with appropriate air temperatures. Presence of bacteria Salmonella was not detected in accordance with ČSN EN ISO 6579 in the reduced substrate. When measuring the concentration of heavy metals in larvae, in the input BDW, the remaining substrate and the larvae after consumption BDW and determining the bioaccumulation factor (BAF) for larvae HI fed by individual types of BDW, it was found that larvae that would be potential feed for livestock or hobby animals from the perspective of heavy metal content, would have to be fed by plant tissue waste or garden waste. The accumulation of antimony and cadmium occur particularly in larvae fed by separates from biogas plant (BPS), garden waste, plant material and poultry droppings. The final recommendation is to include HI larvae into the waste management system of the Czech republic, although in enclosed spaces.

Mohou být esenciální aminokyseliny považovány za chelátory mědi? / Can essential amino acids be considered as copper chelators?

Holotíková, Nikola January 2021 (has links)
Charles University Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmaceutical Botany Candidate: Nikola Holotíková Supervisor: PharmDr. Jana Karlíčková, Ph.D. Title of Thesis: Can essential amino acids be considered as copper chelators? Copper is a trace element playing an important role in the human organism. Copper levels in the body have to be carefully controlled because disruption of copper homeostasis can cause oxidative damage which may lead to various pathologies. Chelation of copper can potentially be used as a therapeutic tool. Medical chelators should ideally mimic chelators, especially peptides and proteins which are important for regulation of copper homeostasis. Their structure is formed by amino acids linked by peptide bonds. For this reason, the study is focused on selected amino acids. Proteinogenic amino acids are classified into essential and nonessential. Essential amino acids must be obtained from the diet. The aim of this study was to compare the copper chelation and reduction activity of essential amino acids L-histidine and L-methionine, and nonessential amino acids L-cysteine, its dimer L-cystine, L-aspartic acid and L-glutamic acid. Also a L-cysteine-derived compound, N-acetylcysteine, was tested. All of them were tested using spectrophotometric methods at pHs which...

Title: Specifics of Pre-Competition Training in Bodybuilding and it's Influence on Body Composition Objectives: The aim of this thesis is description of specifics nutrition and training methods in pre-competition training in bodybuilding and practical assessment of their influence on body composition in the test subjects. Methods: Skinfold calliper technique using callipers type Best and bioimpedance analysis using devices BIA 2000 and Tanita MC-980. Results: After completing of intervention program and measurement of body composition, compiled on the basis of negative energy balance, using carbohydrate restriction combined with high-intensity strength training and subsequent measurement of body composition, we found an expected changes of their parameters as was observed their individual response on intervention. Both subjects achieved a significant reduction of subcutanneous fat (proband no. 1 = - 7 %, proband no. 2 = - 3,2 %) and total fat (proband no. 1 = - 2,7 ± 0,3 %, proband no. 2 = - 3,2 ± 0,4 %). Furthermore we observed a distinct change in the total amount of muscle mass (proband no. 1 = - 2,5 kg, proband no. 2 = + 1,1 kg) while deterioration of muscle quality defined by changes of ECM / BCM coefficient values. Conclusion: The program has ensured the expected changes in the parameters of...

Vliv rozvoje sebekontroly a sebeúcty na snižování nadváhy prostřednictvím jógového tréninku u mužů \\ / The influence of development of self-control and self-esteem in overweight reduction through yoga training for men

POSPÍŠILOVÁ, Michaela January 2009 (has links)
In my thesis I have dealt with the overweight and obesity and its reduction by using interventional program lasting 12 weeks. The whole research was a part of a three-year research project called {\clqq}Positive Effects of Self-Control and Self-Esteem Development on Overweight control through Intervention of Yoga training`` and this project was supported by a grant from the Czech Grant Agency GACR No 406/05/2431 aimed at gender, age and overweight reduction, where four hundred volunteers took part. In my researching project 30 elderly men suffering from overweight and obesity of the first degree participated. I have used the interventional active plan with 15 elderly people in the experimental group from February 2008 till May 2008. The program of my diploma work focused not only on measuring the degree of overweight and obesity by using the values of BMI, BIA, and by measuring the amount of subcutaneous fat with a caliper, but also on identifying the role of Self-concept and Self-esteem and consequently on the positive influence of that on their mental and social parameters during the process of decreasing the current body weight by using yoga training and keeping healthy lifestyle. On concluding of the interventional active plan the gained results were evaluated by the use of statistic methods, which are included in the publication from doc. Krejčí, Factors of self-control and self-esteem in overweight reduction. The results proved that through doing yoga training regularly, at least 30 minutes a day, along with keeping healthy diet and practicing relaxation techniques, we managed decrease overweight and obesity of the first degree, maintained the weight and improved the mental state.

Efektivní implementace metod pro redukci dimenze v mnohorozměrné statistice / Efficient implementation of dimension reduction methods for high-dimensional statistics

Pekař, Vojtěch January 2015 (has links)
The main goal of our thesis is to make the implementation of a classification method called linear discriminant analysis more efficient. It is a model of multivariate statistics which, given samples and their membership to given groups, attempts to determine the group of a new sample. We focus especially on the high-dimensional case, meaning that the number of variables is higher than number of samples and the problem leads to a singular covariance matrix. If the number of variables is too high, it can be practically impossible to use the common methods because of the high computational cost. Therefore, we look at the topic from the perspective of numerical linear algebra and we rearrange the obtained tasks to their equivalent formulation with much lower dimension. We offer new ways of solution, provide examples of particular algorithms and discuss their efficiency. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
