Techniky "level of detail" v knihovně OpenSceneGraph / Algorithms of Level of Detail in OpenSceneGraph

Present graphic requires a lot of optimizations of rendering techniques and mathematical calculations. It is caused by increased requirements of scene's visualization. One of scene's optimizing techniques is the Level of detail. This thesis is focused on methods used by LOD in OpenSceneGraph and OpenGL library. Next it will be described how to choose the right level of detail in a scene. Later it will be explained how to simplify 3D models. These techniques will be implemented in converting tool and demonstrating application. Methods for simplify 3D models will be tested for their speed and quality.

Efektivní algoritmy pro vysoce přesný výpočet elementárních funkcí / Effective Algorithms for High-Precision Computation of Elementary Functions

Nowadays high-precision computations are still more desired. Either for simulation on a level of atoms where every digit is important and inaccurary in computation can cause invalid result or numerical approximations in partial differential equations solving where a small deviation causes a result to be useless. The computations are carried over data types with precision of order hundred to thousand digits, or even more. This creates pressure on time complexity of problem solving and so it is essential to find very efficient methods for computation. Every complex physical problem is usually described by a system of equations frequently containing elementary functions like sinus, cosines or exponentials. The aim of the work is to design and implement methods that for a given precision, arbitrary elementary function and a point compute its value in the most efficent way. The core of the work is an application of methods based on AGM (arithmetic-geometric mean) with a time complexity of order $O(M(n)\log_2{n})$ 9(expresed for multiplication $M(n)$). The complexity can not be improved. There are many libraries supporting multi-precision atithmetic, one of which is GMP and is about to be used for efficent method implementation. In the end all implemented methods are compared with existing ones.

The first part is focused more on theoretical basis, where the main emphasis on the description of Android, application structure, description of the audio MP3 file and theoretical basis of Fourier transform in signal processing. The second part is devoted to solution design, analysis and implementation. The third part deals with testing.

Nondeterministic finite automaton is an important tool, which is used to process strings in many different areas of programming. It is important to try to reduce its size for increasing programs' effectiveness. However, this problem is computationally hard, so we need to search for new techniques. Basics of finite automata are described in this work. Some methods for their reduction are then introduced. Usable reduction algorithms are described in greater detail. Then they are implemented and tested. The test results are finally evaluated.

Modelování dynamických vlastností a chování technických soustav / Models of Dynamics and Responses of Multi-body Systems

The aim of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the potential of available methods for simplification and reduction of complex models of technical systems and their integration with experimental models. Finding methods, which would allow us to create models and run simulations in shorter periods of time, is key in design process of modern technical systems. In the beginning of this thesis, a theory necessary for understanding and application of presented methods is given. These methods can be separated into two groups, first as experiment related, second as simulation related. The first group contains methods for experimental evaluation of response and its use for dynamic system identification. The second group contains methods of finite element model creation, with the usage of standard structural elements as well as Component Mode Synthesis substructures, and these models are in the following step reduced into state space models. In the next step, all presented methods are applied on simple experimental structure. In conclusion, the results of simulations are the subject for comparison not only from quantitative point of view, but also, for the purpose of practical application, in terms of time, feasibility, versatility and accuracy. The system identification method along with state space method proved to be very suitable. The results presented in this thesis might help, by selecting the appropriate method, in simpler evaluation of dynamic properties of technical structures.

There is problematics of moire noise reduction thought filtration in frequency domain and the image normalization for further processing analyzed. Keypoints detectors and descriptors are used for image classification. Detectors FAST and Harris corner detector and descriptors SURF, BRIEF and BRISK are emphasized as well as their evaluation in terms of potential contribution to this work.

This thesis focuses on changes in the height of articulation in Czech Sign Language affected by coarticulation. The theoretical base of the thesis originates from both Czech and foreign linguistic literature devoted to phonological processes in speech. One part of the thesis is basic insight into the issues of phonological processes in sign languages. The research of the height of articulation in Czech Sign Language affected by coarticulation follows the recent studies dedicated on changes in height of articulation of speakers of Dutch, American, Australian and New Zealand Sign Languages (Ormel, Crasborn, Kooij 2013; Tyrone, Mauk 2010; Grosvald, Corina 2012a; Russell, Wilkinson, Janzen 2011; Lucas et al. 2002; Schembri et al. 2009). The goal of the research is to describe the changes in height of articulation by the one-handed lexical signs with the place of articulation in the head area (the target signs KNOW and REMEMBER) affected by their phonetic context. The data were collected during the recordings of sign langugae production of 15 participants, all speakers of Czech Sign Language. 1400 tokens of target signs were excerpted and analysed in total. Aplikace waveletové transformace v software Mathematica a Sage / Applications of wavelet transform in Mathematica and Sage

This thesis focuses on image processing using wavelet transform. The usage of wavelet transform is analysed especially for image compression and image noise reduction purposes. The analysis describes in detail aspects and application of the following wavelet transform methods: CWT, DWT, DTWT, 2D DWT. The thesis further explains the meaning of the mother wavelet and studies certain specific kinds of wavelets, kinds of thresholding and its purposes and also touches on the JPEG2000 standard. Mathematica and Sage software packages were used to design algorithms for image compression and image noise reduction, utilising relevant wavelet transform findings. The concluding part of the thesis compares the two software packages and results obtained using different algorithms.
