Automatické vyhodnocování studentských úloh / Automatic evaluation of the students' assessments

Oraný, Vladimír January 2009 (has links)
Nearly seven hundreds of students each year apply for informatics' studies at University of economics, Prague (UEP). At the beginning, each one must complete two courses related to programming - Introduction to Programming and Fundamentals of Software Engineering. Both courses produce a lot of outputs -- simpler home works or more complex semestral projects -- which must be assessed by the teachers. Especially assessment of early home works is laboring and routine which makes it perfect candidate for automation. The goal of this work is to suggest the best suitable way how to implement this automation at UEP. Since mass courses make troubles universities all around the world there is already a lot of existing solutions how to automate evaluation of programming courses. First two chapters summarize the effort to find the most interesting ones and present them to the Czech audience. Because existing solutions are really sophisticated but does not provide white box tests support needed at UEP the rest of this thesis is not about creating own new automatic assessment system but about creating a middleware which can handle the problem mentioned. The middleware called Duckapter makes usage of Java reflection API easier and is downloadable from project website http://code.google.com/p/duckapter. Using them, the teachers can provide white box tests inside the black box (unit) tests which are supported by the most of the current automatic assessment systems.

Interpretace americké historie v současném kontextu americké společnosti: Od Bradleyho komise k osnovám historie v 21. století / Interpretation of American History in the Context of Contemporary U.S. Society: From Bradley Commission to 21st Century History Curriculum

Vondrová, Petra January 2017 (has links)
The thesis aims to analyze the relationship of the collective memory of an individual and his/her inclusion with the society and eventual ability to generate social capital. This paper evaluates the American federal education system and its interpretation of the historical narrative to the students. The focus of this thesis is the interpretation of historical events in the context of American society, whose structure has changed fundamentally over the past 30 years. Not only society has suffered a significant change, the federal system of student testing and the federal education institutions' funding have been revised too. American society can benefit from it through internal intercourse or, on the contrary, it can become more fragmented if it fails to bring the individual into a contemporary social setting. The work has been defined in time since the Bradley Commission has issued general recommendations to change approach to historical curricula, and then continues to explore the development until 2014. The political changes with the end of the Cold War led to a constant reinterpretation of American history and the secondary the collective identity. Porovnání postavení novináře v americké a české audiovizuální popkultuře / The comparasion of the status of journalists in the American and the Czech audiovisual pop culture

Svoboda, Martin January 2019 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to compare the use of journalists as characters in Czech and US audiovisual industry, primarily cinema. As expected, the work finds that Czech cinema cannot compare with American in volume. Also, different history has led to a completely different position of journalists in culture and popular culture in both regions. The thesis tries to introduce both systems and look for reasons of absence of journalistic characters in Czech cinema. It also examines the way in which cinema is able to communicate at all and what demands can we have on the dialogue between piece of art and us. The thesis deals with the transformation of journalistic profession into genre and archetype in American mainstream cinema. The ambition of the work, which in many respects compares the present with the absence, is to describe the space in which the observed presence and absence take place. The main difficulty in elaborating the topic is the marginal size of the Czech market compared to the American and even more marginal use of the journalist as a prominent figure in it. Therefore, the thesis tries to explain why the situation with the help of professional literature rather than mapping the explicit presence of journalism in narratives of Czech and Czechoslovak films. Since Czech cinema has in many...

Předreflexivní sebevztah vědomí a konstituce "Já". Husserl a Sartre / Pre-reflexive Self-relation of Consciousness and Constitution of the "Ego". Husserl and Sartre

Matoušek, Josef January 2014 (has links)
The study concentrates on possible connection between phenomenological thought of Edmund Husserl and Jean-Paul Sartre by focusing on the way by which each of them frames pre-reflexive self-awareness of consciousness and its role in the process of constitution of the identity of the "Ego" as a subjective pole. Essential motivation derives from the effort of highlighting those moments of Husserl's thinking, which might have been or actually were a source of inspiration for Sartre and the formulation of these concepts in the early stages of his career. Subsequently, the quest is to clarify the scale of this inspiration and to shed some light on the question whether Sartre did not push his constructions over the boundaries of the scientific field set by Husserl. The study also incorporates several of Husserl's works which are in their conclusions tending to go against those presented as a possible source of Sartre's inspiration. That is done in order not to simplify the ambivalence of Husserl's work over the acceptable limit as well as to emphasize the nature of the investigations preferred by Sartre. These investigations lead in his work to the conceptualization of human existence as necessarily free, which is the conclusion of the presented study. Key words: Husserl, Sartre, consciousness,...
