The aim of the thesis is the regional differentiation analysis in the European Union territory. Thesis is focused on the EU Regional policy (its origin, development, objectives and instruments) and mainly on the demographic and economic differentiation in the EU. The demographic differentiation is qualified through the use of natural population increase, net migration and settlement structure. For the economic differentiation there have been used indicators such as GDP per inhabitant, employment and unemployment rate.

This thesis is concerned with the possibilities of financing the building of new accommodation capacities by development companies utilizing European union structure funds. The aim of this thesis is to introduce a fictional tourism project, which could be realized by financial instruments of european regional politics, and consequently to present this possibility of co-financing, concretely through project documentation and requisition of financing to competent authorities. Another aim of this thesis is also to introduce the administration procedures, which have to be undergone. In the end of the thesis is a recommendation to file for financial resources, which flow from the structure funds and the project proposal document enclosed to the requisition as well.

The aim of diploma thesis is to determine advantages and disadvantages of spatial planning in Spain in comparison with the system of regional and physical planning in the Czech Republic. First, there will be briefly carry out the socio-economic characteristics of Spain which will serve as a starting point to a better understanding of land use. In sequence to this characteristics will be carry out the first structural part of the thesis, i.e. complex and comprehensive characterization and evaluation of spatial planning in Spain which will be examined, both in term of historical development and in term of the legislative, institutional and economic aspects. Then, the thesis will focus on the specific spatial planning problems solved in concrete selected regions of Spain. There will be briefly characterized system of regional and physical planning in the Czech Republic. The last and fundamental part of the thesis will focus on identifying advantages and disadvantages of the system of regional and territorial planning in the Czech Republic and spatial planning in Spain.

The main aim of this thesis is a description of possibilities for obtaining the financial supports for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs and entreprises. The description allow from possibilities of regional programmes which are created by The European Union. The thesis explaining contens and conditions of regional programmes and means and main steps for creating the feasibility study clearly according to the structure and conditions of the particular programme from the order of programmes of The European Union.

The diploma thesis focuses on human resources, labor market and regional development in the region Olomouc. The main goal of the thesis is to evaluate the level and quality of the human resources and its role in the regional development in the region Olomouc compared to other NUTS III regions in the Czech Republic and formulation of recommendations to a regional policy in supporting of the human resources. Recommendations are based on the own survey among the residents and employees in the region Olomouc. The thesis is divided into four parts. The first one focuses on theoretical and conceptual demarcation of human resources, labor market and regional development. The second part defines development of regional policy in the Czech Republic and European Union. This part also focuses on the elaboration of strategic development documents on different levels. In the third part of the thesis, there is an evaluation of the level of human resources in the Czech Republic. It is based on the long-run analysis of economic and social indicators and labor market. The fourth part focuses on analysis of development and level of human resources in region Olomouc compared to other NUTS III regions in the Czech Republic. This part also contains the evaluation of survey among the residents and employees in the region Olomouc. The conclusion formulates recommendations on regional policies in human resources in the region Olomouc.

The thesis looks into the regional policy of the European Union and its impacts on Spain and its regions. First chapter introduces the main characteristic of regional policy. Next part describes application of this policy in Spain. More specifically are mencioned the financial allocations for Spain during the programming periods, to which areas the financial resources were oriented and which regions were receiving this financial support. Last chapter analyses the impacts of the interventions of this policy on Spanish regions and describes how the disparities between regions reduced and how the disparities between Spain and other EU members changed.

The thesis examines regional differentiation in Spain in the context of the use of EU funds. First part depicts general and economic characteristics of Spain including a description of the current economic situation and the situation on the labor market which both are essential for the given topic. This thesis also presents EU regional policy and focuses in more detail on its application in selected regions in Spain (Basque Country, Andalusia) since Spain´s entry into the EC until present. The last part examines regional differences in Spain and their development over time with the use of economic and other indicators. The analysis of a coefficient of variation (CV) is also used for a better evaluation of real convergence of Spanish regions.

The EU Regional Policy contributes to reduce regional disparities by providing funds to support the convergence of backward regions and the competitiveness of more developed areas. The aim of the thesis is to compare the evolution of socioeconomic indicators and evaluate their impact on the economy of Spain.

Regional and Cohesion Policy is the EU's most operational and close-citizen development policy, with visible results. However, with interdependent economic, social, and territorial dimensions, impact of Cohesion Policy (CP) in various regions and social groups has become a contested subject recently. Besides, a particular importance has been given to promoting social cohesion in recent years as a result of successful enlargement waves and economic financial crisis that have brought significant socioeconomic imbalances across social groups including marginalised communities and minorities. CP has broadened its scope to include more social issues and human rights in line with EU strategies in recent years, despite the fact that it does not directly reflect a minority policy. As a result, combating with social exclusion and promoting social inclusion with focus on minorities and vulnerable groups has become CP's primary objectives during the last two programming periods. Master´s thesis deals with a proposal of the project financing from the EU funds, which is related to reconstruction of the boarding house on the east of Slovakia. The proposal of the project is created from the structure of a feasibility study and on the basis of evaluation by net present value is the investment project regarded as profitable.
