The thesis focuses on analysis of trends in investment banking in the period 2006 -- 2010. The main trends are securitization, consolidation of investment banking and new regulation. The thesis analyses the trends in detail and explains interconnections and impact on the whole investment banking industry. The development is illustrated on a few particular investment banks and bank holding companies in Europe and the United States of America. The last part presents new regulations and proposed changes in the investment banking industry.

Abstract The structure of higher education system in the Czech Republic has changed over the past ten years. Gradual expansion of private universities was the main cause of this change. The importace of investment in human capital, forms of state regulation in higher education and the dangers that the regulatory authority of the Accreditation Committee faced are described in the theoretical part of Diploma thesis. The analytical parts is focused on the number of applicants and the number of gradutes in accordance with educational programs and their emplacement at the labour market. The fuction of Accreditation Committee, as the main regulator of higher education in the Czech Republic, concludes the analytic part of the thesis. My taskis to find out, how did the structure of higher education system change due to its regulation and wether the further development of educational system is efficient enough.

The diploma thesis is a discussion of the development of the the insurance regulation. The thesis consists of 5 main parts. The first part of this work documents the insurance regulation, the second the relugation of the subjekts on the market,the third the development of insurance, next the supervision in the insurance, Solvency II.

The reasons of the contemporaly regulation in the waste management regarding the theoretical basis (on that the regulation is built) are the main objectives of this work. Because of high induced costs of the erroneous state measures built on wrong expectations in the economy and because of less effectiveness and efficiency of these measures this analysis is very important. The test of induced costs should be accomplished on the example of the deposit system on one-way containers (PET bottles and cans), which should be implemented into the public law in the Czech republic in next few years. Hardly any measure in the waste management is provoking so intensive diskussion, as the deposit system on some beverages does. What is the main reason? Especially the rise of abatement costs by subjects influenced by the deposit system and the influence on the system of separate collection. The deposit system and the separate collection are competitive systems because of the reciprocal relationship. Regarding the driving forces of the regulation the main goal of this work is the modelling of costs and benefits of the deposit system in the Czech republic and the analysis of the decision making proces of affected subjects.

Tomosyn is a protein belonging to the Lgl family and conserved across the animal and plant kingdom. Tomosyn is composed of N-terminal domain containing WD40 motif and Cterminal domain, where the R-SNARE motif is located at the end of the C-terminal domain. This motif is classified as homologous to R-SNARE motif of synaptobrevine, which is a protein located on the surface of the vesicles and participating in the formation of SNARE complex and subsequent fusion of the vesicles with the plasma membrane. Thus the role of this tomosyn is mainly the regulation of exocytosis. Apart from the animal tomosyn, its yeast homolog Sro7/Sro77 is also examined, however during the evolution it has lost its R-SNARE motif and therefore the plant tomosyns remain unexplored. The aim of this diploma thesis was to characterize both of the plant tomosyns: AtTYN1 and AtTYN2 in Arabidopsis thaliana plant. The experimental thesis included the bioinformatic analysis, the DNA construct creation, a search for interactors by yeast two-hybrid system and monitoring the localization using the confocal microscope. Stínová ekonomika se může považovat za fenomén, který je bezpochyby součástí každé ekonomiky. Není sice možné formulovat všeobecně akceptovatelnou definici stejně tak jako jednoznačně určit její rozsah v dané ekonomice. Hlavním důvodem je existence mnoha metod měření a nízké dostupnosti dat. Bezpochyby ale platí, že je to ta oblast ekonomiky, která reaguje na nedostatky a chyby v ekonomice oficiální, jenž vznikají nevhodnými státními zásahy v rámci hospodářských opatření. Konkrétně se jedná o nadměrnou daňovou zátěž, mnohé regulace podnikání a nízkou kvalitu služeb poskytovaných státem. O této oblasti můžeme tvrdit, že je ekonomikou racionální, i když se vládní instituce a tvůrci hospodářské politiky snaží o její kontrolu a snižování jejího růstu.

Diplomová práce ?Proměny konkurence na českém telekomunikačním trhu? je zaměřena především na analýzu nedávného turbulentního vývoje telekomunikací v České republice. Se zaměřením na společnost Telefónica O2 Czech Republic,a.s. práce popisuje hlavní faktory, které telekomunikační trh utvářely v uplynulých letech ? zabývá se významnými tržními aliancemi i otázkou regulace odvětví. Závěr práce je věnován hlavním trendům v telekomunikacích, kterými jsou především fixní a mobilní konvergence, VoIP, sítě třetí generace (3G), mobilní virtuální operátoři (MVNO) a televize přes IP (IPTV).

V této práci je ukázán vývoj dluhu obcí v České republice v období 1994 až 2005. Je zde zkoumán vliv dluhu obcí na veřejný dluh a také jeho ostatní vlivy. Dluh obcí je jednou z částí veřejného dluhu a proto se ho stát snaží regulovat, i když je obec ve svém hospodaření nezávislá. V této práci jsou také jednotlivé formy regulace dluhu obcí obsaženy.

Práce rozebírá dopady regulace nájemného v ČR. Nastiňuje pozitivní dopady deregulace s ohledem na regionální aspekt. Zabývá se historickými souvislostmi regulace nájemného a vývojem právních předpisů. Vysvětluje, proč se v politické sféře neprosazují ekonomicky efektivní řešení. Jsou zde charakterizovány zájmové skupiny ovlivňující politická rozhodnutí v oblasti bydlení a analyzovány výsledky jejich činnosti. Je provedeno srovnání s regulací nájemného v jiných zemích zejména z hlediska příležitostí k dobývání renty. Navrhuje vlastní řešení problémové situace.

Práce analyzuje trh internetového připojení a jeho regulaci v České republice. Po zhodnocení vývoje tohoto síťového odvětví a jeho regulace od roku 1989 se autor zaměřil na popsání a analýzu specifik české struktury trhu internetového připojení. V poslední části práce se autor pokusil představit model vysvětlující jeden z pohledů na neefektivnost veřejného financování nebo dotování projektů internetového připojení. S pomocí tohoto modelu a po analýze ekonomických charakteristik statku internetového připojení autor došel k závěru, že neexistuje důvod pro veřejného financování nebo dotování této služby i přesto, že je internetové připojení spojeno se silnou síťovou externalitou. Na příkladu veřejného projektu internetového připojení v MČ Praha 5 bylo prokázáno, že v krátkém období jsou sice soukromé náklady mnohem vyšší než náklady společenské, nicméně v delším období začnou, z důvodu zaostávání technologie, růst oportunitní náklady času jednotlivých uživatelů a společenské náklady převýší náklady soukromé.
