Résumé The subject of this thesis is influence of parents' divorce on young adults. The thesis aims at family rituals and their changes after parents' divorce. The theoretical part of the thesis contains two chapters. The first one describes rituals, their types and their importance for children. The second one describes family, divorce and influence of divorce on the children. The research analyses forms of rituals in families before divorce and their changes during divorce and after divorce. The thesis also focuses on the participants' attitude to family rituals and changes of that in dependence of divorce and participants' attitude to one of the most important rituals of passage - the wedding. The purpose of this thesis is to answer the question, if parents' divorce has some influence on family rituals and the participants' attitude of them and which the view of the participants to the wedding and marriage is. The research demonstrates that parents' divorce has the influence on family rituals and attitude of the participants to family rituals.

Significance of family mediation in the resolution of legal conflicts in a family The purpose of my thesis is to analyse the issue of family mediation. Family mediation which is a form of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) could be defined as a structured process in which family members agree to appoint a neutral third party (the mediator) who assists them to find a mutually satisfactory solution to their problem based on their own decisions. The mediator must be impartial, their role is to encourage communication between the parties but has no authority to make any substantial suggestions or decisions with regard to the parties' issues. The mediation process is voluntary and confidential. One of the reasons why I chose this topic is my belief that family mediation can be in many cases a more suitable way to solve family conflicts than litigation. In many foreign countries (especially western European countries, the USA and Canada) mediation has a long history and is used frequently to solve conflicts that relate to separation, divorce, custody, financial questions in family etc. In the Czech Republic, however, family mediation has not been developed very well and I find this situation unfavorable. Comparison of legislation concerning the establishment and determination of parentage in the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of Belgium SUMMARY The purpose of my thesis is to compare two different, yet somehow similar systems of civil law. Reason for choosing this particular topic (creation of filiation) is because I consider it a very important moment in life of every individual. My thesis is composed of eight chapters, each of them dealing with different part of the main topic. Each chapter is also divided into three parts, each of them studies one particular legislation, because not only this thesis compares Czech and Belgian law, but also examines differences between Czech current legislation (mainly law concerning familial relations and marriage) and future one - the Civil Code which will take effect from 1. 1. 2014. Chapter one is destined to present main reasons and the interest of law on the definition and regulation of the notion "family". Part one describes the problematic from the view of Czech law, part two deals with the same theme, but by Belgian law. Chapters two and three both examinate the issue of determination of motherhood, including problematics of surrogate mothers. This master thesis deals with the issue of family housing. As model project was chosen housing unit in elevated ground floor, which is intended for young family with two children. The first theoretic part is containing more details about matters of family housing, living in family house and specific matters related to designing of private interior. The practical part contains design of housing unit in the family house itself. Solution of design emphasizes functionality and aesthetics of design and also complies wishes and demands of clients at the same time was designed. The last part of the thesis presents design of particular atypical element, which has been created with all the requirements, like its design, construction solution and material costs.

The focus of this thesis is to closely explore the personalities of the protagonists of two of Patrick McCabe's novels, namely The Butcher Boy and Breakfast on Pluto to determine the source of their individual personal traits. The second part of this thesis is focused on analyzing the film adaptations of the aforementioned novels and the way the films depict the personalities of Francie Brady and Patrick Branden.
