Uppsatsens syfte är att genomföra en komparativ diskursanalys av rollspelssystemet The World of Darkness med fokus på böckerna The World of Darkness (2004) och The World of Darkness innocents (2008) för att analysera vilka barndomsdiskurser som produceras i spelet. En Norman Fairclough-inspirerad tredimensionell diskursanalys har anlagts för att uppnå syftet med uppsatsen. Genom att fokusera analysen på spelets regler, fiktion och agens visas det att det sårbara barnet är den återkommande diskursen och påverkas av rådande speldiskurser, skräckkontexten, tabu och en förlegad barnsyn.
