Cestovní ruch jako faktor rozvoje Děčínska / Tourism as a development factor in Decin region

The aim of thesis is to identify factors for future tourism development in Decin region. The theoretical part deals with general definition of tourism its position in the national economy and also outlines the importance of tourism for the regional and microregional development in Czech Republic. The practical part is focused on tourism in Decin region. Firstly, the basic and supporting infrastructure of tourism is defined by description, the areas of possible further development of the region are identified and the economic impact of tourism on the selected area is hypothesized. Consequently, the range of accommodation facilities and services for tourists in Decin region are evaluated by the questionnaire survey. The representative sample of 13 facilities, ie 10% of total, is randomly selected of the 131 providers of accommodation services. The structure of facilities and the quality of its services is identified by the synthesis of the data. In conclusion, the results may help us to determinate the temporary situation in accommodation services, to indentify the main barriers of the tourist development and to suggest possible improvements and funding for further tourism development in Decin region.

Kutná Hora is a beautiful historical city and one of most significant tourist destinations in the Czech Republic. Taking its importance into account the historical city centre of Kutná Hora became UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. In spite of this international recognition, the town currently has to face the problem of the decreasing number of visitors as well as their short stay. The aim of my thesis is to describe the current commercial communication of the Kutná Hora city implemented mostly by local tourism agency and to analyze its future potential. Another objective is to suggest improvements of city marketing in order to increase the city's tourism profit in future. The thesis explains the principles of marketing strategies for tourist destinations demonstrated by the example of the city of Kutná Hora. The result is based on classified literature, my own research and data delivered by experts working in the tourism field. The author gives practical recommendations which could be a basis for the future destination management of Kutná Hora city.

Creation of new contacts is for a non-profit organisation (e.g. a destination company) next to essential. This thesis gives a theoretical background by description of networking mechanism, his importance and his use in professional organisations. Then the analysis should describe the situation in the Czech Republic: how tourism organisations apply networking in communication with interest groups in the destination, because successful networking could notably help promote the destination to its (potential) visitors.

This thesis deals with the Brazilian tourism market in relation to the Czech Republic with a focus on gay clientele. In the first part, the prerequisites for the development of tourism in the destination are analysed; the author assesses the selective, location and realization factors. The next chapter focuses on the characteristics of Brazilian outgoing tourism - both generally and in relation to the Czech Republic. A part of this chapter deals with the incoming tourism and the organization of tourism in Brazil. The author then compares package tours of Czech travel agencis to Brazil. The last chapter is devoted to the characteristics of gay tourism. The author assess the situation of the gay community in the Czech Republic and Brazil, and characterizes the prerequisites for the development of this form of tourism in both countries. The thesis ends with a structured interview with the author of PinkGo, the new project of ESO travel agency.

Practical part of the thesis deals with possibilities of utilisation of the funds for tourism development in Vysočina region. In addition to the basic characterization of the region and his tourism supply, with the help of analyses of particular calls and through all realized projects the thesis summarizes the possibilities of utilisation of the funds for tourism development in Vysočina region.
