Možnosti rozšírenia jednosezónneho horského strediska cestovného ruchu na dvojsezónne / Possibilities of development mountain ski resort for also summer resort

The aim of the thesis is to project possibilities of expansion of winter season resort to a summer season resort. The work aims at mountain ski resort and the development of its further activities for summer season. The particular example on which is this development adopted is mountain ski resort Donovaly. For particular projects was used theoretical knowledge of marketing and its tools. Theoretical analysis follows that the best way how to develop present-day's destinations is complex management. There are created destination management organizations for this purpose. It was used resort's analysis focused on basic requirements of tourism to process the project. Further development of the resort is based on these basic requirements of tourism. The analysis includes also customers' questionnaire survey. Theoretical knowledge and analysis are translated into practical projects of development possibilities of ski resort Donovaly to become also a summer resort of tourism.

This thesis is focused on the variability of the demand and the development of new trends in the fields of the tourism industry. Special attention is devoted to a new arising trend of the Dark Tourism. This trend has appeared in the end of the 20th century and it has gained the attraction of media, tourists, tourism specialists and other stakeholders. First part of the thesis is concerned with the variety of the tourism industry and the ethic question of the tourism development. The other part contains the Dark Tourism definition and the prevailing motivation for taking part in this tourism trend. Then the thesis is concerned with the Czech Republic, it's conditions and destinations for developing the Dark Tourism. Last part is devoted to research among common tourists and their attitude to the Dark Tourism.

After treating the marketing and the management of destinations, this work covers Canadian institutions and their activities influencing the tourism sector. Equally, it describes the situation in Czech Republic. To conclude it gives matter of comparison between two countries' models, together with financial data.

The diploma thesis deals with the structural funds of European Union in the past (2007 - 2013) and current programming period 2014 - 2020. The main objective of the work is to compare the possibilities of drawing EU funds for tourism developmenet in the two periods. Work also aims to evaluate the effectiveness of fund implementation in the previos programming period on the example of specific project. The work is divided into three main chapters. The first one deals with the theoretical aspects in the realation between Czech republic and European Union. The second one is focused on the regional policy in Czech republic and its implementation through operational programs. The most important part of the chapter discusses tourism support the two periods. The last chapter analyses the effectivnes of project in tourism funded by structural funds and its contribution to increase the competitivness of tourism industry in Czech republic.

The aim of the Diploma thesis is to evaluate the situation of the sustainable development of tourism in Královéhradecký region and to suggest provision in to the future. The theoretical part introduces basic information about this issue. The term "sustainable development of tourism" is explained here, the forms of "green" tourism are introduced and also selected indicators of sustainable development of tourism are described here. The practical part uses knowledges obtained from the theoretical part and offers a practical view of the topic. The main aim of this part is to analyze the sustainable development of tourism in Královéhradecký region and to comment on the results of such analysis. To achieve this goal, the thesis uses result of questionare survey, in which both public and private sector and also both participants of tourism and residents of the examined region took part. For the description of sustainable development in Královéhradecký region were also used several relevant indicators of sustainable development of tourism.

Tourist product proposal is the main topic of this thesis. Several tourism products are presented and those should aim at senior citizens tourism and cultural tourists. Also, specifications and needs of those particular groups are mentioned.

However destination management organisation, through implementing projects focused mainly on marketing and cooperation with other stakeholders, positively promotes tourism in the destination.

The aim is to clearly and concisely acquaint the reader with an analysis of the disbursement of funds in the programming periods 2004-2006 and 2007-2013 and its impacts success. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter is devoted to tourism policy, the second is devoted to issue of European Union funds. The third chapter analyses the position of tourism and tourism policy in the European Union and the impact of joining the European Union on the Czech Republic. The last chapter is devoted to analysis of the use of EU funds in tourism sector and evaluation of its success in the Czech Republic.
