Vývoj a podoba trojlodního síňového prostoru sakrální architektury Čech do poloviny 15. století / Evolution and Form of the three-aisle hall type layout in Bohemian sacral architecture to the mid-15th century

Beránek, Jan January 2014 (has links)
Evolution and form of the three-aisle hall type layout in Bohemian sacral architecture to the mid-15th century The hall church with two, three and rarely more aisles in German described as "Hallenkirche" is usually defined as having the aisles of the same or almost the same height as opposed to the basilica. With this type of organization the main nave is lit only indirectly because there is no space for basilica type windows. Other variants or transitional types are pseudohalls, sometimes also called pseudobasilicas (in German terminology Staffenhalle and Stufenhalle), which differ from the main type by having an elevated nave without the aforementioned direct light sources. These distinctions stem from a thought construct of art history which strives for strict taxonomy in their source material. The diversity of medieval architecture nevertheless proves that there is cannot be drawn a clear and decisive line between the basilical and hall type layouts, just as the distinction between the longitudinal and central floor plans. This is connected to the cultural semantics of the different types and the even more complicated question of the intentions of the choice. The hall type is spread all across medieval Europe from the Romanesque era to the end of the Middle Ages. This type of architecture was...

Estudo anatômico do comportamento do nervo pudendo em fetos de bovinos azebuados / Anatomical study on the behavior of the pudendum nerve in fetuses of the crossbred zebu cattle

Rosa Helena dos Santos Ferraz 19 February 1997 (has links)
In order to perform this research, 30 female fetuses from crossbred zebus were used. After applying the process of conservation and reduction of the pieces, dissections were made by using ophthalmic surgical instruments and circular magnifying glass fitted with cold lamp. Priority was given to the observation of the origin of the pudendum nerve trunk registering it, more frequently, in relation to the second, third and fourth sacral nerves (76.7%), emphasizing it as the most remarkable contribution, the one that refers to the third sacral nerve (90%). While enclosed in the pelvic cavity, we considered contributions of the ventral branches of the sacral nerves, specifically destinated to each of the branches, registering more abundantly participation of the third and fourth nerves, that is: proximal cutaneous (56.7% to the right and 53.3% to the left), distal cutaneous (70% to the right and 56.7% to the left) and pudendum nerve (properly speaking - 76.7% to the right and 73.3% to the left). We registered the number of branches representative of the proximal cutaneous and of the distal cutaneous, being respectively found in the unique appearance to the right si de (63.3% and 96.7%) and to the left (66.7% and 83.3%); double to the right (23.3% and 3.3.%) and to the left (23.3% and 16.7%), and triple, exclusively to the proximal cutaneous branch to the left (3.3%). The emergence of these branches from the pelvic cavity was also observed, represented to the proximal cutaneous branch more often through the minor ischiatic foramen to the right (16.7%) and to the left (16.7%) or perforating the large sacrotuberal ligament to the right (46.7%) and to the left (50%) and, to the distal cutaneous branch through ischiorectal fossa to both antimeres (100%). The pudendum nerve (properly speaking), in the final one-third of the pelvic cavity, always originates the dorsal branch of the clitoris and the mammary branch (100%). The occurrence of the comiective branch (\"anastomosis\") between a small branch entering into the pelvic cavity through the cranial portion of the minor ischiatic foramen (properly speaking) and the pudendum nerve or one of its branches - the deep pudendum nerve was also observed (63.3%). The results of the behavior of the pudendum nerve found in female fetuses of the crossbred zebu cattle did not differ from those of the Europen cattle, as described in the literature.

Možnosti animace sakrálních památek na příkladu poutního kostela ve Skokách / Cultural Animation of Sacral Monuments at the Example of the Pilgrimage Church in Skoky

Turková, Kateřina January 2013 (has links)
The thesis studies the possibilities of cultural animation of unused sacral monuments, especially churches. The theoretical part is searching for the reasons of the current poor condition of these buildings that have lost their regular liturgical function. The aim is to describe the position of religion and sacredness in the contemporary Czech society. It reviews the concept of cultural animation and its application on the specific case of the church. The practical part of the thesis is focused on the Karlovy Vary region, which was affected by the social discontinuity as a result of the post-war expulsion of Germans. There are many abandoned and ruined churches due to this reason. As a particular example of a successful animation is described Church of the Visitation of the Virgin Mary in Skoky by Žlutice and its animation activities initiated by members of the association Pod střechou.

Nová synagoga Frýdek-Místek / The new synagogue in Frýdek-Místek

Borisová, Alexandra January 2021 (has links)
The diploma project handles the design of the synagogue and other buildings of the Jewish community in Frýdek - Místek. The project is formed as an architectural study. The complex of the Jewish community includes, in addition to the synagogue itself, a kosher restaurant, which is characterized by a specific cooking convention, as well as a Jewish gallery, a library and the administration of the Jewish community. The whole complex is complemented by an underground car park. The area is located close to the border of the historic city center. The land is not monotonous, in some parts it is relatively flat, in others it is sloping. It is bounded on the north by a blind road and on the south by road II. class on Revoluční street. At present, the territory of the former synagogue is unused and neglected. The idea of the design is based on simple principles of basic geometric shapes - circle and square. The circle is a symbol of heaven and eternity and the square is a symbol of earthliness and transience. The symbolism of numbers is also applied in the proposal, especially "1" - a sign of unity, indivisibility, as well as God; "2" - number of opposites - heaven and earth; "3" completeness and stability. From the compositional point of view, it is a line of 3 blocks of the same base and height, while one of them is fitted with a cylinder, which is the tallest of all objects. This results from the Jewish tradition. All objects are designed on a platform that symbolizes the ascent to the Temple Mount. The above mentioned functions are divided into separate objects. A uniform architectural language is chosen for all buildings. The principles of construction and layout of individual buildings differ according to their operation.

Sakrální stavby v urbanismu pražských měst 19. a 20. století / Sacral buildings in urbanism of the municipalities of Prague in 19th and 20th century

Háčková, Tereza January 2017 (has links)
The diploma thesis deals with sacral architecture in the urban structure of the Prague districts of the 19th and 20th centuries. The aim is to answer the question whether these two centuries prolong the tradition in which the urban structure responded to sanctuaries, which were often the basic starting point for new urban foundations or, on the contrary, only respond to the given urban situation. The main ambition of the work is to create a set of material from Prague urbanism to illustrate the development of relationship between sacral structures and urban space during the 19th and 20th centuries. Based on available sources, documents, catalogs, and maps, the work tries to compare new church builders with a catholic tradition without excluding the issue of minor christian churches and synagogues from the scope of the work. Keywords urbanism, sacral architecture, 19th and 20th century, Prague

Sakrální objekty v Česku: proměny a nové formy / Sacral objects in Czechia: changes and new forms

Klubal, Jan January 2010 (has links)
Sacral objects in Czechia: changes and new forms Jan Klubal, DP 2010 ABSTRACT This thesis deals with the sacral objects which are understood as physical indicators of the religious behaviour of population. Although Czech society is considered to be one of the most secularized in the terms of church adherence in Europe, it does not mean that Czechs are atheistic nation. Due to their scepticism to all organized forms of religion which is caused by the specific historical development of Czech country, people prefer the alternative forms of religiosity including ocultism and other spiritual practics. The main aim of this thesis is to explore whether and how the transformation of religiosity in Czechia affects the religious landscape. This will be shown on the case of sacral objects identified in model areas Praha, Pelhřimov and Kaplice. The first part makes a survey of present knowledge relevant to sacral objects issue. This section consists of the review of literature, the definition of main terms and the description of applied methods. The next part deals with the historical development and current situation of religion and religious landscape in Czechia. The last section summarizes and discusses the results of field survey and compares the religious landscape of model areas. The review of interviews is also...

Ett temporärt tempel : Arkitektonisk analys och kontextualisering av Karlstads synagoga / A temporary temple : Architectural analysis and contextualization of Karlstad Synagogue

Rist, Marcus January 2022 (has links)
The aim of this essay is to study the now demolished synagogue in Karlstad, Sweden. Its existence, or rather lack thereof, is shrouded in mystery as it remains unmentioned in most of Swedish architectural history research, and only briefly in historical writing about the city of Karlstad. The essay is an attempt to preserve and immortalise the memory of this lost piece of cultural heritage. To better understand the synagogues unique visual character it is set against two of its contemporary contexts - 19th century synagogue buildings in Europe, and the prayer houses built by the Swedish Free church and Mission movements. Describing and analysing the architecture of the synagogue in Karlstad provides a foundation for comparison between examples of these two architectural phenomena.
