No. of bitstreams: 1 LuizPCM_DISSERT.pdf: 490130 bytes, checksum: 73f1c4e7c92225097ff3f3d0c6dba703 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2016-04-27 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior / Studies on the composition of trophic guilds of fish is crucial to determine the trophic structure and resource use by different species in environments due to temporal variations, for example, a prolonged drought, taking effect on the richness and abundance of these species modifying biodiversity. So this paper aims to show that the reduction in the volume of water and rainfall reservoir of Santa Cruz promotes negative changes in the biomass of fish species in the trophic guilds. Data were used precipitation (mm), a percentage of the accumulated water volume and biomass of fish every three months between February 2010 and November 2014. For the analysis of CPUE data were used, in order to verify significant changes for each trophic guild it was applied PERMANOVA was later applied the nonparametric Kruskal-Wallis test to determine which species has greater contribution of CPUE between years of collecting. To check changes in the formation of guilds was made a presence and absence analysis for all species and finally in order to verify the temporal organization of trophic guilds was applied nonparametric correlation Spearman test. They found 22 species with temporal variation distributed in five trophic guilds. The guild Detritivorous/Iliófaga showed higher biomass followed by guilds Carcinophaga, Insectivorous, Omnivorous and Piscivorous. Our results show that the temporal reduction in the biomass of trophic guilds Detritivorous/Iliófaga and Carcinophaga are related to the water and precipitation volume reduction factors, as other guilds their temporal biomass oscillations can this related to several factors such as resource exploitation food in greater abundance in a given year, favoring the presence of some guilds / Os estudos sobre a composição das guildas tróficas de peixes é fundamental para a determinação da estrutura trófica e da utilização dos recursos alimentares por diferentes espécies em ambientes decorrentes de variações temporais, por exemplo, uma seca prolongada, tendo efeito sobre a riqueza e abundância dessas espécies, modificando a biodiversidade.

Aguirre, Carlos 12 April 2018 (has links)
This article reconstructs the trajectory of Nicomedes Santa Cruz, one of the foremost Afro-Peruvian intellectuals of all times, whose presence in the public scene transcended a purely artistic ambit and extended to the terrain of social and political criticism. Nicomedes Santa Cruz was a public intellectual whose multifaceted work addressed the most pressing themes of his time: he was a critic of racism, imperialism and social inequality; he supported the Cuban Revolution; he committed himself to the reforms of the Juan Velasco Alvarado regime; and he promoted international solidarity. Likewise, he tried to combine a commitment to socialism with a defense of Afro-Peruvian culture and rights.

Do comércio de retalhos à Feira da Sulanca: uma inserção de migrantes em São Paulo / From trading cloth patches to the Sulanca´Fairs: how northeastern migrants were mobilized to work in this trade in the streets of Brás (São Paulo, Brazil)

Gomes, Sueli de Castro 04 April 2002 (has links)
Dentre as múltiplas problematizações que a pesquisa traz à tona, destacamos as redes sociais como um instrumento mobilizador do migrante comerciante autônomo de retalhos contribuindo para a ampliação do capital / Trading cloth patches and textile remainders is carried out in the streets of the Brás neighborhood, an industrial and working class old district in São Paulo. It now concentrates several industries as well as wholesale and retail clothing stores meant for \"sacoleiras\" coming from all over Brazil. The patch trade originates in the interstices of old textile industries. Later it feeds on refuses of clothing industries that daily supply tons of remainders and patches to be traded by the \"retalheiros\". These patches and refuses are partly bought both by sewing women in greater São Paulo and by \"sacoleiras\". Most goods are sent to Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, in the hinterlands of Pernambuco State, which is a \"sulanca\" manufacturing pole. It merely consists of poorer quality clothing, mostly consumed by a lower income population. The lower income northeastern citizen becomes a buyer of fabric refuses from the Southern Center. The patch and remainder trade is mostly controlled by northeastern migrants, who form a net of people and merchandise based on this activity. Hence, this dissertation aimed at studying how these migrants were mobilized to work in this trade in the streets of Brás. In order to understand this process, the work also investigated the changes undergone by the district, from the Italian to the northeastern Brazilian occupation on the area. Once the connection among this and other areas was identified by the people/goods net evolution the patch-goods circulation was followed to one of its ends, namely the \"sulanca\" fairs in Pernambuco. Among the manifold questions raised by this research, attention should be drawn to the social nets as a mobilizing means of the free-lance migrant, who trades patches that contributes to capital increase

Tucson's Santa Cruz River and the arroyo legacy

Betancourt, Julio L. January 1990 (has links)
Between 1865 and 1915, arroyos developed in the southwestern United States across diverse hydrological, ecological and cultural settings. That they developed simultaneously has encouraged the search for a common cause-- some phenomenon that was equally widespread and synchronous. There are few southwestern streams for which we have even a qualitative understanding of timelines and processes involved in initiation and extension of historic arroyos. Tucson's Santa Cruz River, often cited in the arroyo literature, offers a unique opportunity to chronicle the arroyo legacy and evaluate its causes. The present study reconstructs both the physical and cultural circumstances of channel entrenchment along the Santa Cruz River. Primary data include newspaper accounts, notes and plants of General Land Office surveys, eyewitness accounts, legal depositions, and repeat photography. On the Santa Cruz River, arroyo initiation and extension happened during relatively wet decades associated with frequent warm episodes in the tropical Pacific (El Niño conditions). Intensified El Niño activity during the period 1864-1891 may be symptomatic of long-term climatic change, perhaps indicative of global warming and destabilization of Pacific climate at the end of the Little Ice Age. During this period all but one of the years registering more than three days with rain exceeding 2.54 cm (1 in) in Tucson were El Niño events. The one exception was the summer of 1890, when the central equatorial Pacific was relatively cold but when prevailing low-surface pressures and low-level winds nevertheless steered tropical moisture from the west coast of Mexico into southern Arizona. In the twentieth century, catastrophic channel widening was caused by floods during El Niño events in 1905, 1915, 1977 and 1983. The Santa Cruz River arroyo formed when climatic conditions heightened the probabilities for occurrence of large floods in southern Arizona. Inadequate engineering of ditches that resulted in abrupt changes in the longitudinal profile of the stream further augmented probabilities that any one of these floods would initiate an arroyo. In the future, changing flood probabilities with low-frequency climatic fluctuations and improved flow conveyance due to intensified land use and channel stabilization will further complicate management of the arroyo in an increasingly urbanized floodplain.
