Desenvolvimento de tabela de medidas de corpo para idosas: estudo antropométrico / Development of measures to body of elderly table: anthropometric study

Cardoso, Ana Maria 09 December 2014 (has links)
Os resultados obtidos indicaram a viabilidade de aplicação da metodologia proposta para elaboração das tabelas de medidas / According to data from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE, 2010), Brazil announced that the country moves towards an increasingly aging demographic profile since 2039, will be recorded the named \"zero growth\"; in 2050, the picture changes: for every 100 children 0-14 years there will be 172.7 older. Many are the challenges faced by older people, especially for women who now represent 56% of the elderly population. One such challenge is the transformation of the body, and with a shortage of garment products with appropriate measures, that in addition to dressing the body presents a perfect fit that meets the physical need to use. This research aims to propose procedure, using anthropometric data obtained with the equipment Body Scanner to prepare tables of measures, to establish standards to be applied in making modeling aimed at older women. The measures used in this work are part of Anthropometric Study in Brazil and were provided by the National Industrial Training Service / Center for Chemical Technology of Textile Industry (SENAI/CETIQT). Through the studies, it was possible to classify bodies in various types: rectangle with thick and thin waist, thin triangle with thick waist and inverted triangle with thick waistand propose measures tables. The results indicated the feasibility of applying the proposed methodology for the preparation of measurements tables

Contribution à la reconstruction 3D de bâtiments à partir de nuage de points de scanner laser terrestre / A contribution to 3D building reconstruction from terrestrial laser scanner points cloud

Bennis, Abdelhamid 02 October 2015 (has links)
The renovation and the improvement of the energy efficiency of existing housing stock is one of big challenges identified for coming decades. In front of this imperative, timber based elements for building renovation are more and more used due to their substantial improvement of the building insulation, aesthetic renewal and functional additions. However, this technology faces some difficulties, one of them is the improvement of the renovation projects automation, which is bound to the knowledge of the existing built geometry. The plans representing the existing state of the building are not always available, and if so, they may be not exact, because the modifications made on the building are usually undocumented. After a literature review of existing methods which are detailed the first chapter. The work within the framework of cooperation between the CRITTBois and CRAN have allowed to develop an automatic method for 3D building CAD model reconstruction from point clouds acquired by a terrestrial LASER scanner. The proposed method is composed of three main phases. The first one detailed in the second chapter, consists in segmenting the point cloud into planar patches representing the building facades. To decrease the segmentation algorithm complexity, the colorimetric information is also considered. The approach consists in making a colorimetric classification of the point cloud in a first step, then a geometrical segmentation of the point cloud using a robust segmentation algorithm (RANSAC). The third chapter presents the second phase of our approach consists in surface sampling steps modeling and boundary point extraction. Here, we consider a local threshold defined according to the approximated surface sampling steps. The aim of considering local threshold is to improve the reliability of the boundary point extraction algorithm and approximating the CAD model error. The last chapter presents the main three steps of the boundary model reconstruction method. The first step consists in classifying the regions defined by their boundary points into three types of regions: Irregularity Region (IR), Architectural Element Region (AER) as windows, and Facades Regions (FR) which represent the building facades defined by their outer boundaries. The second step consists in modeling these regions considering a Delaunay triangulation for the IR and a polyhedral model for the AER and the FR. The third step consists in making an approximation of the error in the model. The method reliability tests were conducted on real projects; they were performed by industrial construction and renovation professionals. The tests show that the quality of the 3D reconstruction remains strongly dependent to the acquisition factors and the scanned surface properties. Also, the approximation of the modeling error can predict in advance the errors on the CAD model.

Within and between session changes in subjective and neuroendocrine stress parameters during magnetic resonance imaging: A controlled scanner training study

Lüken, Ulrike, Mühlhan, Markus, Evens, Ricarda, Wittchen, Hans-Ulrich, Kirschbaum, Clemens 15 August 2013 (has links) (PDF)
Accumulating evidence suggests that the magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner can act as a stressor, eliciting subjective and neuroendocrine stress responses. Approaches to familiarize subjects with the scanner could help minimizing unintended effects on neural activation patterns of interest. Controlled studies on the effects of a scanner training are however missing. Using a comparative design, we analyzed within- and between session changes in subjective and neuroendocrine stress parameters in 63 healthy, scanner-naïve adults who participated in a two-day training protocol in an MRI, mock, or lab environment. A habituation task was used to assess within-session changes in subjective and neuroendocrine (cortisol) stress parameters; between-session changes were indicated by differences between days. MRI and mock, but not lab training were successful in reducing subjective distress towards the scanner. In contrast, cortisol reactivity towards the training environment generally increased during day 2, and the percentage of cortisol responders particularly rose in the mock and MRI groups. Within-session habituation of subjective arousal and anxiety was observed during both days and irrespective of training condition. Present findings demonstrate that training in a scanner environment successfully reduces subjective distress, but may also induce sensitization of endocrine stress levels during repeated scanning. Subjective distress can further be stabilized by acclimating subjects to the environment prior to the MRI assessment, including a short habituation phase into the assessment protocol. If replicated, present findings should be considered by researchers employing repeated measurement designs where subjects are exposed to a scanner more than once.

Comparaison tractographie IRM - tissu cérébral et optimisation de la reconstruction tractographique par algorithme génétique / Tractography MRI comparison with brain tissu optimisation of the tractography reconstruction using a genetic algorithm

Sta, Marouen 29 September 2017 (has links)
Tractography validation and optimization of tracking parameters against a ground truth are mandatory before a large clinical use. First, we present a method to quantitatively compare tractography reconstructions to a ground truth derived from laser scanner acquisitions of dissected specimens. This comparison allows evaluation of multiple models and tractography approaches (deterministic, probabilistic…). The ground truth used for this comparison was acquired from dissected specimens using a surface laser scanner, which produces triangulated surface meshes. Data transformation to a common format was necessary before quantitative comparisons. Two comparison methods were proposed, surface-to-surface and volume-to-volume. Second, we propose a method for automatic optimization of deterministic tractography parameters using a genetic algorithm (GA). The GA is an iterative optimization algorithm based on natural selection, which is able to optimize complex problems having several parameters. For a given ground truth fasciculus, the GA was expected to find the set of tractography parameters producing the best tractography result according to the ground truth. The comparison and optimization methods were applied to a synthetic bundle derived from a phantom and to two dissected white matter tracts of a human post mortem brain.

No. of bitstreams: 1 VictorAS_DISSERT.pdf: 7384161 bytes, checksum: 52530e2ae828c1016d52cf0da52743d6 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2013-05-21 / In this paper we present the methodological procedures involved in the digital imaging in mesoscale of a block of travertines rock of quaternary age, originating from the city of Acquasanta, located in the Apennines, Italy. This rocky block, called T-Block, was stored in the courtyard of the Laborat?rio Experimental Petr?leo "Kelsen Valente" (LabPetro), of Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP), so that from it were performed Scientific studies, mainly for research groups universities and research centers working in brazilian areas of reservoir characterization and 3D digital imaging. The purpose of this work is the development of a Model Solid Digital, from the use of non-invasive techniques of digital 3D imaging of internal and external surfaces of the T-Block. For the imaging of the external surfaces technology has been used LIDAR (Light Detection and Range) and the imaging surface Interior was done using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR), moreover, profiles were obtained with a Gamma Ray Gamae-spect?metro laptop. The goal of 3D digital imaging involved the identification and parameterization of surface geological and sedimentary facies that could represent heterogeneities depositional mesoscale, based on study of a block rocky with dimensions of approximately 1.60 m x 1.60 m x 2.70 m. The data acquired by means of terrestrial laser scanner made available georeferenced spatial information of the surface of the block (X, Y, Z), and varying the intensity values of the return laser beam and high resolution RGB data (3 mm x 3 mm), total points acquired 28,505,106. This information was used as an aid in the interpretation of radargrams and are ready to be displayed in rooms virtual reality. With the GPR was obtained 15 profiles of 2.3 m and 2 3D grids, each with 24 sections horizontal of 1.3 and 14 m vertical sections of 2.3 m, both the Antenna 900 MHz to about 2600 MHz antenna. Finally, the use of GPR associated with Laser Scanner enabled the identification and 3D mapping of 3 different radarf?cies which were correlated with three sedimentary facies as had been defined at the outset. The 6 profiles showed gamma a low amplitude variation in the values of radioactivity. This is likely due to the fact of the sedimentary layers profiled have the same mineralogical composition, being composed by carbonate sediments, with no clay in siliciclastic pellitic layers or other mineral carrier elements radioactive / Nesse trabalho s?o apresentados os procedimentos metodol?gicos envolvidos no imageamento digital em mesoescala de um bloco de rochas travertinas de idade quatern?ria, oriundas da cidade de Acquasanta, situada na cordilheira dos Apeninos, na It?lia.

Lacerda, Ivan Max Freire de 20 February 2009 (has links)
Made available in DSpace on 2014-12-17T14:57:49Z (GMT). No. of bitstreams: 1 IvanMFL.pdf: 663615 bytes, checksum: a9a612a8d366a8eadb51a7b7c58984a5 (MD5) Previous issue date: 2009-02-20 / Due to advances in the manufacturing process of orthopedic prostheses, the need for better quality shape reading techniques (i.e. with less uncertainty) of the residual limb of amputees became a challenge. To overcome these problems means to be able in obtaining accurate geometry information of the limb and, consequently, better manufacturing processes of both transfemural and transtibial prosthetic sockets. The key point for this task is to customize these readings trying to be as faithful as possible to the real profile of each patient. Within this context, firstly two prototype versions (α and β) of a 3D mechanical scanner for reading residual limbs shape based on reverse engineering techniques were designed. Prototype β is an improved version of prototype α, despite remaining working in analogical mode. Both prototypes are capable of producing a CAD representation of the limb via appropriated graphical sheets and were conceived to work purely by mechanical means. The first results were encouraging as they were able to achieve a great decrease concerning the degree of uncertainty of measurements when compared to traditional methods that are very inaccurate and outdated. For instance, it's not unusual to see these archaic methods in action by making use of ordinary home kind measure-tapes for exploring the limb's shape. Although prototype β improved the readings, it still required someone to input the plotted points (i.e. those marked in disk shape graphical sheets) to an academic CAD software called OrtoCAD. This task is performed by manual typing which is time consuming and carries very limited reliability. Furthermore, the number of coordinates obtained from the purely mechanical system is limited to sub-divisions of the graphical sheet (it records a point every 10 degrees with a resolution of one millimeter). These drawbacks were overcome by designing the second release of prototype β in which it was developed an electronic variation of the reading table components now capable of performing an automatic reading (i.e. no human intervention in digital mode). An interface software (i.e. drive) was built to facilitate data transfer. Much better results were obtained meaning less degree of uncertainty (it records a point every 2 degrees with a resolution of 1/10 mm). Additionally, it was proposed an algorithm to convert the CAD geometry, used by OrtoCAD, to an appropriate format and enabling the use of rapid prototyping equipment aiming future automation of the manufacturing process of prosthetic sockets.

Ana Maria Cardoso 09 December 2014 (has links)
