Hur skapar man psykosocialt gynnsamma lärmiljöer i skolan? : Om skolkuratorns främjande arbete / How do you create psychosocially favourable learning environments in school? : About the school social counceller's supporting work

Rudhem Haglund, Anton, Jonsson, Christian January 2018 (has links)
In connection with the new school law in Sweden 2010, the school social counsellor's mission changed. One purpose of the change was to tie the school social counsellor closer to the school's overall assignment, as well as to direct the work to preferably supporting and prevention efforts. This study tries investigating how school social counsellor's perceive that they can contribute to learning environments that support pupils' learning and identity development. The theoretical foundations of the study highlight psychosocial factors in the school's learning environment and the psychosocial development of children and adolescents. Ten semi structured interviews, 40-60 minutes long, have been made with different school social counsellor's who work with pupils grade 7-9 in Västra Götaland. The results of the study show that an important part of the work on creating psychosocial supporting learning environments is to reach out to adults at the school with knowledge, approaches and ways to respond to the students. The result also shows that the school social counsellor needs good contact with the students and that the school as a whole needs to work with a psychosocial perspective in mind.
