Tvorba nanostruktur a nanosoučástek pro oblast nanoelektroniky a spintroniky / Fabrication of Nanostructures and Nanodevices for Nanoelectronics and Spintronics

The thesis deals with preparation of graphene nanostructures and their applications in the measurement of transport properties of graphene. The contacts for measurement of resistance are fabricated by electron beam lithography on graphene exfoliated flakes, CVD graphene layers and grains. Graphene is also shaped using the same method. Resistivity of the layer, concentration and mobility of charge carriers are determined by different approaches. Hysteresis appearing in dependence of resistivity on the gate voltage is discussed as well. A significant part of the work is dedicated to monitoring the response of graphene resistance to relative humidity changes and potential use of graphene as a sensor of relative humidity.

This thesis deals with the design and implementation of a self-driving model race car that is intended to participate at NXP Cup race. First of all, the attention is given to the selection of a suitable platform, which will be used for the implementation of a motion control algorithm that enables autonomous navigation of the autonomous model race car along a specified track. Then, the details of motion control algorithm design and its implementation aspects are explained.  Also, the design of an obstacle detection system is presented. Finally, the work is concluded with presentation of various experiments with the implemented self-driving control algorithm and its evaluation.

Introduction: The aim of this work was to determine the difference in abdominal wall expansion and thus indirectly the amount of intra-abdominal pressure in various postural positions, first without any correction, then after verbal and manual instruction according to Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) principles. The amount of activation of abdominal wall muscles in various postural positions helps determine the positions in which optimal postural stabilization is best activated. These positions may be suitable for postural therapy and training. The theoretical part introduces optimal trunk stabilization according to developmental kinesiology principles and DNS concept. Then, the relationship between the intra-abdominal pressure and postural activity of abdominal muscles is introduced as well as the most common methods of objectification. Participants and Methods: 30 healthy subjects (15 women and 15 men) aged 20 to 25 years (mean age 22.73 years, SD 1.88) were tested using the Ohm Belt device. This device uses pressure sensors that are attached to the abdominal wall in the area above the groin and in the trigonum lumbale and thus allows non-invasive monitoring of abdominal wall expansion and indirect measurement of the intra-abdominal pressure. The thesis composes conventional and modern methods for digital scene capturing. The target of the thesis is a comparison of CMOS with Bayer mask and Foveon X3 Merrill sensors followed by a design of algorithms for image fusion which can combine advantages of the both sensor types. The thesis starts with an introduction and a description of methods and processes leading to scene capturing. The next part deals with capturing a gallery of test images and with a comparison of both sensors based on the gallery images. Further there are algorithms designed for image fusion which can combine advantages of the selected sensors. The last part of the thesis is devoted to an evaluation of results and of the used algorithms.

This thesis describes the universal module LabJack U3-HVTM and evaluation method of measured value on the computer screen using software eSimLab. To all physical tasks is described path of signal with measured string from developed sensor until evaluation of signal in the computer. In the thesis is specifically described a function of developed sensors of physical quantities, there are subscribed diagrams including PCB and parts list. The thesis is including designed physical tasks for monitoring of atmospheric pressure, temperature, wind direction, sunshine duration and the role of measurement of the signal on the optical transmitter using the developed sensors and universal module LabJack U3-HVTM.

The thesis deals with the testing and optimization of hydrodynamic conditions of the electrochemical detector, which consists of a flow cell containing the electrochemical sensor with an array of electrodes. The flow cell includes a rotating disc-shaped component, which allows radial flow of analytes along the sensor electrodes. This principle imitates the rotating disk electrode, with the difference that here the electrodes are immobile. Hydrodynamic phenomena in this case are similar to RDE. Therefore, the theoretical part of my work deals with hydrodynamics and mass transfer for the well-described case of rotating disk electrode. It was found that in the current set-up under certain conditions, an analyte flowed back from the output cell channel to the sensor, even at the laminar flow. This causes a nonlinear response of the electrodes and their low reproducibility. The solution is to reduce the distance between the rotation component and the electrodes surface and reduce flow speed of analyzed liquid towards the sensor. A novel type of sensor with annular electrodes was designed and tested. It showed four times higher conversion rate of the analyte compared with the originally used AC9 electrochemical sensor having electrodes in the form of full circles lying on a circumference of a common circle. Based on calculations, conversion of the analyte on the plane electrode can be increased up to 100% when using this annular sensor, adjusting flow cell and reducing of the input flow rate. The detector was connected to the liquid chromatograph and its function was tested on two substances - ascorbic acid and dopamine. For the current detector these parameters were set: dynamic range, linearity, noise, detection limit, time constant and the temperature range at which the detector can be operated.

The thesis describes a realization of the automatic self tuning system for sevenstring guitars. There are comparisons of commercial and uncommercial solutions for six-string guitars. There is also evaluation of useful parts for seven-string guitars. Thesis contains a description of a requirements for individual parts and a control software with respect on real guitar properties and used computing algorithm. In the second part of thesis, there is a description of final system design and its realisation including the control software. This is also related with testing of the entire system.

This thesis examines the various types of transmissions which allow to seamlessly change gears without interrupting the transfer of a motor's power output. In particular, it elaborates on the advantages and disadvantages each design presents for a FormulaStudent/SAE vehicle. Furthermore, the thesis explores the selection of gear ratios and simulates acceleration parameters in order to achieve the best possible dynamic behavior. What is more, the thesis presents a concrete implementation of a transmission for the Husqvarna FE 501 motorcycle redesigned with the Zeroshift mechanism. It includes a fundamental change in the operation of the clutch as well as a gear stress analysis. Last but not least, the TU Brno Racing team incorporated the main conclusions of the thesis into the team's vehicle in order to improve the team's standings in international races.

Lokalizace vibrace v okolí optického vlákna pomocí interferometrického senzoru / Location of vibration around the optical fiber

This diploma thesis solves possibilities of utilization optical fiber as sensor. At the beginning, basic division of this sensors is desribed, their principles and usage. Then the thesis is focused on distributed sensors based on the interference of the light, interferometers. This optic fiber interferometers are described, mainly their modifications for detection and localization of vibrations along optical fiber. Significant part of the thesis deals with dual Mach--Zehnder interferometer. This interferometer is theoreticaly desribed and simulated in Matlab. Further the thesis deals with development of two aplication in Matlab software. One application is for simulation and theoretical computation of dual Mach--Zehnder interferometer. Second application serves for signal processing of acquired data that are measured on this interferometer. At the end of the thesis, dual Mach--Zehnder interferometer is designed and build in laboratory enviroment and executed measurement and localization of vibrations using this interferometer.
