Säkerhetskopiering och återställning

Ljungsten Jansson, Martin, Jönsson, Sebastian January 2015 (has links)

Computer audit concerns in the client-server environment

Streicher, Rika 13 February 2014 (has links)
M. Com. (Computer Auditing) / and peer-to-peer have taken the world by storm. Dramatic changes have taken place in the information technology of organisations that have opted to follow this trend in the quest for greater flexibility and access to all those connected. Though technology has already had far-reaching effects on business, many changes are yet to be seen. The threats associated with the continuing developments in computer technology have resulted in many traditional internal control processes changing forever. Although, according to the above, it is fairly common that the client-server technology brings with it new threats and risks with internal control processes having to change to address these threats and risks, not all areas have been addressed yet. It is therefore clear that computer audit has a role to play. The main objective of this short dissertation is to shed some light on the problem described above: How will the changes wrought by the client-server technology affect the traditional audit approach? In other words, how will the computer auditor narrow the gap that has originated between traditional established audit procedures and an audit approach that meets the new challenges of the client-server environment? This will be achieved by pinpointing the audit concerns that arise due to the fundamental differences between the traditional systems environment and the new client-server environment...

Architektura bezserverových jednostránkových aplikací v jazyku JavaScript / Serverless single page application in JavaScript

Zikmund, Marian January 2017 (has links)
The goal of this thesis is to design and develop a framework for building modern single- page application in the JavaScript programming language and describe this approach to development. The work also contains the documentation for a more comfortable use and customization. The content is divided into eight chapters. The introduction is followed by the retrieval of information resources, including the specifics of the JavaScript programming language and explanation of the formation of single-page application. The description of the basic principles of their functioning, motivation and justification, when and why this approach is appropriate is also included. The work is primarily focused on the issue of single-page application, for which the use of the JavaScript programming language is crucial. For this reason, this work provides a whole chapter about this programming language, also including a description of its history and role in the context of others. Below are the common characteristics of single-page applications frameworks, built on top of the library ReactJS, whose formation is engaged in the following chapter. The developed framework also contains the user guide. The practical outcome of this work is an open source framework for creating serverless single-page applications, which is due to its architecture and documentation appropriately adaptable.

Optimization of CPU Scheduling in Virtual Machine Environments

Venkatesh, Venkataramanan January 2015 (has links)
Data centres and other infrastructures in the field of information technology suffer from the major issue of ‘server sprawl’, a term used to depict the situation wherein a number of servers consume resources inefficiently, when compared to the business value of outcome obtained from them. Consolidation of servers, rather than dedicating whole servers to individual applications, optimizes the usage of hardware resources, and virtualization achieves this by allowing multiple servers to share a single hardware platform. Server virtualization is facilitated by the usage of hypervisors, among which Xen is widely preferred because of its dual virtualization modes, virtual machine migration support and scalability. This research work involves an analysis of the CPU scheduling algorithms incorporated into Xen, on the basis of the algorithm’s performance in different workload scenarios. In addition to performance evaluation, the results obtained lay emphasis on the importance of compute intensive or I/O intensive domain handling capacity of a hypervisor’s CPU scheduling algorithm in virtualized server environments. Based on this knowledge, the selection of CPU scheduler in a hypervisor can be aligned with the requirements of the hosted applications. A new credit-based VCPU scheduling scheme is proposed, in which the credits remaining for each VCPU after every accounting period plays a significant role in the scheduling decision. The proposed scheduling strategy allows those VCPUs of I/O intensive domains to supersede others, in order to favour the reduction of I/O bound domain response times and the subsequent bottleneck in the CPU run queue. Though a small percentage of context switch overhead is introduced, the results indicate substantial improvement of I/O handling and fairness in re-source allocation between the host and guest domains.

Budování rozsáhlých datových skladů na platformě MS SQL 2008 / Building of large Data Warehouses on MS SQL Server 2008 platform

Gottwald, Tomáš January 2009 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with building of large Data Warehouses on Microsoft SQL Server 2008 platform. First part of the thesis discuss about news in MS SQL Server 2008, which I have considered as being important for Business Intelligence area. Following chapters are focused on approach to implementation of real Data Warehouse for Customs Administration of Czech Republic on MS SQL Server 2008 basis. These parts of the thesis cover specifics of the Customs Administration of Czech Republic, current state of Data Warehouse and reasons for migrating to MS SQL Server 2008. Further the thesis describes both logical and physical architecture of proposed solution and a way of implementation Data Warehouse on MS SQL Server 2008. The main aim of the thesis is to create a list of critical success factors (CSF) of building large Data Warehouses on MS SQL Server 2008 platform. It's not only plain list CSF, but rather the best practices for MS SQL Server Data Warehouses implementation. The most significant contribution of this thesis is that it offers instruction manual for designing and implementing large Data Warehouse on MS SQL Server basis. Background for the creation of summary of CSV and recommendations were vendor's publications and especially my own experience with the product. My colleagues from company Adastra gave me an advisory opinion as well.

Dynamicky zasílané WWW-stránky / Dynamic web pages

Kotlín, Jiří January 2009 (has links)
Serving dynamic web pages raises higher load of web servers and associated technologies. This can to some extent eliminate setting up reverse proxy with cache in front of the web server. The primary goal of this thesis is to implement this technique via presently most popular web server -- Apache. These Apache's proxy features were at first well tested and described, later practically applied in real LAMP software bundle enviroment (Linux, Apache, PHP, MySQL).

Přístupy ke konsolidaci programové a datové základny

Stankay, Michal January 2008 (has links)
In this diploma thesis, I conduct a research into approaches to consolidating data base and source code base of the Techno.cz webserver, which is the subject of the consolidation. By consolidation I mean bringing the server into the state where documentation is produced according to given requirements, data base is changed in order to improve data structure and consistency and source code base is reorganised in order to unify source code upon one platform, improve file system organization and remove problematic characteristics of the source code in general. The goals of this thesis are to create and describe general process of consolidation, sequence and contents of its steps; to describe contents of consolidation in given areas: documentation, data base and source code base; to describe actual steps made to achieve the final state of the server. My approach to accomplishing these goals is the study of relevant literature and usage of my practical experience in the field of web development. My contribution to the topic is the creation of the general consolidation process that has a potential to be reused by similar projects. Another contribution may be the description of handling the risks and problems that emerged during the consolidation process. This topic may find itself as a valuable source of knowledge for fellow developers facing similar issues. The thesis is divided into eight chapters. After the introduction chapter 2 follows. Chapter 2 describes parameters of the Techno.cz webserver. Chapter 3 discusses software engineering methodologies in order to create suitable consolidation process. Chapter 4, 5, 6 discuss particular fields of consolidation: documentation, data base and source code. In chapter 7 I am trying to assess suitability of created processes and approaches for usage in future development. In the conclusion I summarize the thesis according to required structure.
