Vliv syndromu vyhoření na sexualitu u zdravotnických záchranářů / The influence of the burnout syndrome on the sexuality of paramedics

Kunešová, Kristýna January 2020 (has links)
Introduction to the issue: This paper examines the impact of burnout syndrome, which is common among caring professionals, on the sexuality of male paramedics. The term "burnout" was coined in the US 25 years ago. Burnout is defined as a mental state resulting from constant and long-term exposure to stress, especially in relation to psychosocial work factors (Melamed and Shirom, 2006). The effect of burnout syndrome on sexuality is a topic that has received very little attention. That is why I decided to cooperate with PhDr. Šárka Dynáková, Ph.D. and doc. PhDr. Jan Kožnar, CSc, who are working on an international study in the Czech Republic on the effects of burnout syndrome on human health. Methodology: For the theoretical part of this diploma thesis, use was made of monographs and databases. For the practical part, quantitative data was collected using standardized questionnaires distributed among male paramedics. The first questionnaire focused on burnout syndrome using a validated questionnaire for the Czech Republic, one that applies the Shirom-Melamed scale from 2006 (Ptáček, 2013). An extended Kroměříž version of the Sexual Functions of Men questionnaire was used for collecting the data on sexuality (Kratochvíl, 1999). After establishing five working hypotheses (H), the relationship between...

Tělo pod dohledem. Tělesnost a sexualita v próze Krásné zelené oči. / Body under Supervision. Sexuality and Corporeality in Lovely green eyes novel.

Levy, Veronika January 2018 (has links)
The Diploma Thesis, Body under supervision. Corporeality and Sexuality in the novel Lovely green eyes, focuses on gender analysis of the literary work, which itself deals with gender relations and emphasizes a women's experience. The Lustig's novels setting is full of "feminine" themes and seems to be feminist at first glance. With a closer look you can find an intruder in the form of a "masculine" narrator, depicting the woman mainly as a body and a "thing to look at." The key concept of the thesis is a feminist literary criticism, using the resisting reader method by Judith Fetterley, that draws attention to the existence of a universal male perspective. As every text analysis is discours analysis as well, the other method I will apply will be the discours analysis method. For the analysis of narrator's point of view, I will apply Laura Mulvey's theory of voyeurism, to find out if the text does portray the female experience as erotic. Because of the strong textual interpellation, requiring readers to identify with the narrator's view, it is important to pay attention to the narrator's point of view and find the possibilities of refusing the interpellation of the text. As a starting point for the analysis of the female Holocaust experience, the thesis will focus on Gender aspects of the Holocaust...

Due to the differences in the poetics of the works, it was chosen to analyze four works of each writer's large prose. In the case of Gavelis they are as follows: Vilnius Poker (Vilniaus pokeris, novel, 1989), Vilnius Jazz (Vilniaus džiazas, novel, 1993), The Last Generation of People on Earth (Paskutinioji Žemės žmonių karta, novel, 1995) and Six Ways of Suicide (Septyni savižudybės būdai, novel, 1999). From Kundera's works we picked out The Farewell Party (Valčík na rozloučenou, novel,1972), The Book of Laughter and Forgetting (Knihou smíchu a zapomnění, novel, 1978), The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Nesnesitelnou lehkostí bytí, novel, 1984) a Immortality (Nesmrtelnost in french, 1990, in czech 1993). Queer geografie Česka: Heteronormativita prostoru / Queer geography of Czechia: Heteronormativity of space

Pitoňák, Michal January 2011 (has links)
Drawing on rigorous foreign, both Western and non-Western, literature, this thesis introduces sexuality and its connected spatial conceptualizations to Czech geography. In the beginning of the theoretical part, I discuss the framework under which geography studies sexuality. Then, I discuss the crucial terminology while pointing out at some changes in it. After understanding some of the major terminological issues, I delve into a description of the multiple and diverse development of sexuality related geographies. Focusing on queer geography, I delineate the queer standpoint and concentrate on understanding the spatial construction of sexuality in space while unveiling the heteronormativity of space. Using the queer approach, I implicitly deconstruct the binary of public and private space by pointing out at its spuriousness regarding the sexuality. I present a queer bar as a typical queer space while revealing the sexual closetedness of LGBTIQ people. Then I introduce the school environment as, for the time being, a typical heteronormative space and institution. In the end of the theoretical part, I discuss the queer practices of destabilizing heteronormativity both at school and in public space. In the empirical part of the thesis, I discuss the methodology of my internet based chain-referral...

Filičková, Andrea January 2015 (has links)
The basic concept of the thesis is an analysis of a TV programme "Q" broadcasted by the Czech Television. The programme surveys queer subculture not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad, deals with searching for identities across the genders and disrupts conventions stemming from values of the heteronormative society. The thesis looks at the genesis of the programme from its origins, to its production, its broadcasting and finally its cancellation and replacing with another format. The motivation and reasons of the production team and the management for carrying the programme through and including it in the broadcast programming is discussed here, as well as the related decision-making processes and production mechanisms or the way the authors use feminist theories and gender aspects in the programme. Subject of the thesis is sexuality of people with intellectual disabilities and important issues related to it. The main goal of the theoretical part is to introduce the individual areas of sexuality of people with intellectual disabilities. The empirical part uses a survey to find out how the public views this issue. Other aims are to analyse collected data on the basis of differentiation of the profession, for selected items on the basis of differentation in terms of gender and age. The results of the survey show that awareness of the issue of sexuality of people with intellectual disabilities is at a low level in society, which often results in shyness about talking about such a topic or taking a closer interest in it. Although today's society may seem liberal and open to sexual issues, there are still a number of stereotypes and myths about the sexuality of people with intellectual disabilities that need to be dispelled through awareness-raising.
