Within this thesis was carried out a reconnaissance of water distribution network of the city of Slavkov u Brna. The reconnaissance consists of: age analysis of piping materials; water losses evaluation; failure rate evaluation. Then was done a condition assessment of water supply network according to a chosen methodology. Using CARE-W LTP RSM software were projected a few technical-economic alternatives of rehabilitation of water network of the city of Slavkov u Brna. Then was prepared a project of rehabilitation of chosen section of water network. The work resulted in recommendations for the owner and operator of the water network of the city of Slavkov u Brna.

In this diploma thesis is elaborated design of diagnostic system for small jet engines. The aim is to describe the types of possible failures of jet engines, to determine important parameters characterizing the immediate state of engine and define methods for measurement of selected parameters. The first part is devoted to a description of selected types of small turbojet engines, followed by a summary of the most widely used diagnostic methods for assessing the health condition of the engine during operation. The next chapter contains calculation of the engine thermal cycle with characteristics of construction components. Then there is analysis of small jet engine failures with a description of their causes and possibilities of identification by diagnostic system. Thesis continues with a description of measurement methods and selection of the required sensors. Next chapter is focused on the proposed diagnostic system for condition monitoring of the engine. The last part is devoted to an excursion in laboratory for jet engine testing at the Technical University in Košice.

This Master’s thesis deals with an analysis of the cosmetic company Mary Kay (Czech Republic), s.r.o. In the theoretical part, basic terms and analyses are described and afterwards used in the analytical part. To determine the current functioning state of the company, the Porter five forces analysis, the SLEPTE analysis, SWOT analysis, and analyses 7S are used. Results of the mentioned analyses provide suggestions and recommendations regarding improvement of the functioning of Mary Kay (Czech Republic), s.r.o. company.

Pro les of cognitive de cit and the use of a short neuropsychological battery in di erent types of dementia Eva Bolceková Abstract This work focuses on cognitive de cit pro les and the use of a short neuropsychological battery in patients with di erent types of dementia. Increasing prevalence of dementia syndromes highlights the need of their e cient diagnostics in clinical-psychological practice. Theoretical part of this work presents an overview of neurodegenerative diseases with em- phasis on their neuropsychological presentation. We describe the cogni- tive domains and their neuropsychological examination. We address in detail the Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status (RBANS) and its experimental Czech version. Research part of the work is based on neuropsychological examinations of 311 patients with cognitive de cit and 118 healthy controls. Patients' group is comprised of subjects with Alzheimer's disease, mild cognitive impairment, vascular cognitive impairment, Lewy Body disease, frontotemporal lobar degene- ration and patients with depression. The work includes a theoretical part, which defines the basic concepts needed to understand the problem. Furthermore, the development and current situation related to that topic and the actual forecast of the market for office space.

Package of modules for development with PHP is project aimed on simplification and efficiency of programmer's work when developing web based applications in scripting language PHP. This project is continuation of PHP Modular Object framework and wants to extend its connectivity to new modules. Next goal is implementation of modules which allow programmers to use the development system.

Survival analysis often includes dealing with data that are censored. This thesis focuses on censoring in the form of current status data. We discuss seve- ral methods of regression analysis of current status data and focus mainly on a method that assumes that the time to event follows the additive hazards mo- del. Under the assumption of proportional hazards for the monitoring time, this method does not require knowing the baseline hazard function and allows us to use the theory and software which were developed for Cox model. We also pre- sent a modification of this method, a two-step estimator, and show that it is asymptotically normal and has the advantage of lower asymptotic variance.

1 Abstract This thesis aims to transparently elaborate the topic of damages in investment disputes. Chapter One is a brief introduction to the problem. It provides a short clarification of the concept and meaning of arbitration and its importance for the protection of investors; it also describes the principles of modern forms of investor protection. The end of the first Chapter includes a short introduction regarding the sources on damages in investment arbitration. Chapter Two deals with the issue of valuation. At the beginning the author approaches the issue in general, describing the basic terminology and definitions and providing the classification of the valuation methodology (Market-Based Approache, Income- Based Approach, Asset-Based Approach). This is followed by outlining the issues related to the term "market value", when the author focuses on the questions related to the calculation of fair market value, its use in practice, issues related to this use, etc. The next is the theme of damage arising from the breach of a contract and by describing the ways of valuation of the damage arising from the breach of a contract. The subject of interest is the use of FIM+FAMUK in an acute phase of rehabilitation in brain damaged patients. The aim of the thesis is to demonstrate the usefulness of FIM+FAMUK as an assessment of functional status on an acute inpatient rehabilitation unit. Theoretical part provides basic information on the system of cerebrovascular care in Czech republic, on the importance of assessing functional status in neurorehabilitation and on some other assessments of disability in neurorehabilitation besides FIM+FAMUK . It also brings insight into FIM+FAMUK , its items, evaluation process and its utilization. Practical part presents the results of a clinical application of FIM+FAMUK on a stroke unit. Within the thesis, the document called "55 barriers of tourism in Czech Republic" is analysed and individual barriers are described in details. On the basis of a survey among tourism experts and specialists, the significance of these barriers was updated and evaluated.
