Skladová hala s provozovnou / Storage hall with establishment

The subject of this diploma thesis is a proposal of a warehouse hall and an operation hall in Sokolnice. A land of the investor is located on Kobylnická street. Designed building is devided into two buildings which are a warehouse hall and an administrative building. The warehouse hall is designed as three-ship and has one floor above the ground. This building is designed for feed storage and breeding needs. The administrative building has got two floors above the ground. There is an office space for administrative company activity, facilities for employees and a company store. The support system of both buildings is made of steel structure, which is clad with insulating sandwich panels. A ceiling construction in the administrative building is also designed of steel support elements and trapezoidal sheet metal which is covered with a concrete layer. A roof construction of both buildings is flat, single skin and drained by means of a vacuum pipe. A roof composition consists of trapezoidal sheet metal, vapor barriers, dropped thermal insulator and from coating waterproofing. Internal layout is designed from plasterboard partitions. Thermal insulation in the plinth area at the warehouse is solved by using ETICS system. Foundation structures are designed as monolithic. Diploma thesis, according to the assignment, contain the creating of project documentation for the construction.

The objective of the diploma thesis is to design and check a load-carrying steel structure of departure lounge in Ostrava. The building has a rectangular plan with dimensions of 45x63m. Height of the building at its heightest point is 13m. First variant composes of trussed girders and purlins. Spatial rigidity is achieved by bracings. Second variant is a flat space frame. The design of joints, column anchorage and drawings has been made for variant 2.

The theme of this work is design and check load-carrying steel structure of motor show in two variations. A given object is situated in Uherske Hradiste. The steel structure is created by two objects (main and adjoining), whose plans are partly overlaid. Main object has circular ground plan and adjoining object has rectangular ground plan. Building is two-storey. For analysis of internal forces, was constructed virtual spatial model, which was used for an optimization of partial bars for both limit states. The cladding will be made by system of roof panels Brollo and Rockwell. The wall facing will be glass wide, from isolation glasses Stavebni sklo and wall panels Brollo.

The aim of the master´s thesis is to design a load bearing steel structure of a community centre in accordance with architectural requirements. The structure consists of a main aisle and two extensions beside. The length of the structure is 62 m, the width 42 m and maximum height 15 m. The main load bearing elements of the structure are transversal restrained columns and truss roof beams. The roof beam for the main aisle is made up of tubes and arched. The lower and upper beams of roof beams for the extensions are straight. The distance between the main columns in 12 m. The purlins for the main aisle are truss structures with arched lower beam, the purlins for the extensions have straight lower beams of truss. There is a storey in the extensions. The structure of ceiling consists of girders and interlocked concrete plate in trapezoid metal plate. The structure is designed for the district of Brno. It is designed in accordance with the ČSN EN 1993 standard.

The dimensions of the rectagular floor plan are 79,3 x 98,65 m. The height of the building in highest point is 21,5 m. The airport terminal contains 9 main frames spaced by 9 m. The cladding of the roof and the side walls is designed by sendwich panels. The face wall is made by glass facade system.

The diploma thesis deals with the design of a main load-bearing steel structure of the lookout tower with the height 35,5 m. Two different types of solution were designed. The first design is a spacial truss structure and the second design is a fixed solid cantilever. The first solution was chosen to be further developed. The truss structure has square plan that varies with height. The width is 6,6 m in the level of supports and 3,6 m in the narrowest section. Main bearing members are five pin-supported columns. The base material is steel of class S355.

The subject of this diploma’s thesis is design of the footbridge over Radlická street in Prague. Total length of the footbridge is about 90 m. Three variant designs were made with different systems of static construction. Based on the multi-criteria analysis, the most suitable variant was chosen. The variant A, a continuous truss beam, was chosen for detailed design. It is a truss footbridge with a lower orthotropic deck without a wind bracing. The stability of the upper chord is secured by frame stiffness of verticals and stiffness of the floor beam. Detailed static calculation includes assessment of load-bearing parts of the structure and assessment of welds. The structure is made of steel class S335. Assessment and dimensioning were designed according to valid standards ČSN EN 1990-1993.

Detta examensarbete behandlar bullerskärmar för järnvägen längs Mälarbanan. Det nuvarande utförandet av konstruktionen har visat sig få problem med utmattning av de skruvförband som förbinder bullerskärmen med grundkonstruktionen. Konstruktionen uppfyller inte den tilltänkta livslängden. Examensarbetet föreslår förbättringar av konstruktionen. Denna kan enkelt modifieras, så att skruvförbanden blir förspända vilket minskar lastamplituden. Europeiska regelverk gällande stålkonstruktioner beaktas. Det förnämliga är att de inte fordrar några större eller kostsammare förändraringar av dagens utförande. Två lösningsförslag föreligger och presenteras i rapporten / This thesis project is about railroad noise barriers along the Mälarbanan. The current construction design has been found to have fatigue problems related to the threaded rods connecting the noise screen to the ground structure. This results in the barrier not sustaining the intended life expectancy. The aim of this thesis project has been to improve the current construction design by suggesting solutions enabling the construction to withstand the dynamic loads. The goal of this project has been achieved through reviews of the current construction, previous consulting reports and by taking in consideration the European standards for steel constructions along with Trafikverkets rules and regulations. This has resulted in two solution proposals, for current and future constructions, without the need for major design changes.

[pt] Ligações semi-rígidas em estruturas de aço tem apresentado uso crescente na construção metálica, pois é uma opção que permite um melhor aproveitamento da capacidade da estrutura. Neste trabalho apresentam-se as características e a classificação das ligações semi-rígidas bem como a evolução da modelagem numérica e analítica do comportamento destas ligações. Apresenta-se uma metodologia com base no método dos elementos finitos para avaliar numericamente a relação momento-rotação de conexões viga-coluna em estruturas de aço. Parte essencial desta metodologia é a modelagem da ligação e de seus diversos componentes. Um modelo completo em termos da geometria, capaz de representar a interação entre os diversos componentes da conexão é proposto. Esta modelagem inclui a discretização de todos os componentes da conexão: placa e ou cantoneiras, porcas, coluna e viga, sendo a extensão da viga e da coluna a ser considerada no modelo escolhida por calibração do mesmo. O contato entre os componentes da ligação é considerado por meio de algoritmo específico de contato com base na formulação de um problema linear complementar. Considera-se contato sem atrito entre corpos deformáveis. A fim de representar com mais fidelidade as características tridimensionais do problema, adota-se uma modelagem também tridimensional com base em elementos finitos híbridos hexaédricos de oito nós, permitindo o emprego de uma discretização relativamente grosseira. Fenômenos como a presença de grandes deformações, plastificação dos componentes e a pré-tensão dos parafusos são incluídos no modelo. Os modelos apresentados são empregados para o estudo do comportamento de ligações tipo placa de extremidade estendida e tipo cantoneira de alma simples. Para validação dos modelos são comparados os resultados numéricos com dados experimentais. Analisa-se também a participação da flexibilidade dos diversos componentes da conexão, tais como: parafuso, placa de extremidade, mesa da coluna, na resposta da conexão. / [en] Semi-rigid connections are now-a-days widely employed by steel structures. Such connections take better advantage of the overall structure capabilities. In this work the properties and classification of semi-rigid connections is discussed. Additionally numerical and analytical models for prediction of connection behavior are presented. A finite element based methodology for the numerical evaluation of moment-rotation relations and load carrying capacity of semi-rigid connections is proposed. An important feature of this model is a complete a three dimensional geometrical description of the many components of the connection, such as plates, column, beam, bolts and nuts and the interaction between them. The extension of beam and column to be modeled is determined by numerical calibration. Frictionless contact between the connection components is considered by a specific contact algorithm which ensures non- penetration and permits separation of the individual parts. In this work a solution strategy for the contact problem based on the establishment of a linear complementary problem is adopted. The three dimensional modeling is carried out by a mesh of hybrid hexahedral eight node elements, which allow the use of relatively coarse meshes. Effects such as the presence of large deformations, yielding of components and pre- stressing of bolts are present in the model. The proposed model is applied to the analysis of the behavior of extended end-plate connections and web cleat connections. The numerical results are compared to experimental data for model validation. One of the objectives of this analysis is the evaluation of the participation of each component on the overall flexibility of the connection. / [es] El uso de ligaduras semirígidas en extructuras de acero ha experimentado un crescimiento importante en la construcción metálica. Esta opción permite un mejor aprovechamiento de la capacidad de la extructura. En este trabajo se presentan las características de las ligaduras semirígidas, su clasificación; y la evolución de los modelos numéricos y analíticos del comportamiento de estas ligaduras. Se discute una metodología con base en el método de los elementos finitos para evaluar numéricamente la relación momento-rotación de conexiones viga-columna en extructuras de acero. La parte esencial de esta metodología es el modelo de la ligadura y sus diversos componentes. Se propone un modelo completo en términos de geometría, capaz de representar la interacción entre los diversos componentes de la conexión. Este modelo incluye la discretización de todos los componentes de la conexión, siendo que la extensión de la viga y de la coluna a ser considerada en el modelo, deberá ser elegida por calibración del mismo. Para considerar el contacto entre los componentes de la ligadura se utiliza el algoritmo específico de contacto con base en la formulación de un problema lineal complementar. A fin de representar con más fidelidad las características tridimensionales del problema, se adoptó un modelo tridimensional con base en elementos finitos híbridos hexaédricos de ocho nodos, permitiendo el empleo de una discretización relativamente grosera. Se incluyen en el modelo fenómenos como la presencia de grandes deformaciones, plastificación de los componentes y la pretensión de los tornillos. Los modelos presentados se emplean en el estudio del comportamiento de ligaduras tipo placa de extremidad extendida y tipo esquinero de alma simple. Para evaluar los modelos se comparan los resultados numéricos con datos experimentales. También se incluye un análisis de la participación en la respuesta de la conexión, de la flexibilidad de los diversos componentes de la conexión, tales como: tornillo, placa de extremidad, mesa de la columna.
