From 1992, the economy of Mainland China grow up faster, and the supply of steel falls serious short of demand, Taiwanese companies all want to invest in China. Our search focuses on these Taiwanese companies in China to find the key successful factors in investment. Based on the research result, we conclude below: 1. The advantage of culture different The interaction between Taiwan and Mainland China are very frequently, no matter in commerce activities, political and so on. Related to others foreign companies, the Taiwanese companies get more advantage in culture parts, like same language, living situation and also avoid the culture shake, so, the Taiwanese companies could get complete information than the foreign companies. But the companies still pay attention to deal with the localization. 2. The better managerial abilities Related to local company, the Taiwanese company have compete managerial system, for a new comer, it will help company to gain more performance, but the Taiwanese company still need to keep the organization flexibility, to hold the competitive advantage. 3. Product price setting flexible When company set price in China market, the price setting system should let the customers feel they been treat fair and reasonable, when the company use open quantity discount, allowance, payment term system, flexible price will make the customers feel more value. Process Automation Systems’ design, selection, planning and implementation play a contributing role in achieving success in Industrial Megaprojects within the Oil and Gas Industry. Process Automation Systems represent only 8% - 10% of the total installed cost in capital projects, but the reliability and performance of Process Automation Systems are fundamental factors to ensure the operability and safety of new plants within the oil and gas industry. Recent studies show an increasing number of Industrial Megaprojects in execution during the last decade, a better understanding of the real impact that these projects can bring to our societies, the complexity of these endeavors and the likelihood of having more megaprojects being approved during the next 20 years in the global market. It is pleasant to hear that there are favorable conditions present in the industry to promote and execute capital projects, but there is an alarming rate at which these capital projects overrun schedules and budgets. Project execution key performance indicators such as cost growth, cost index, schedule index, schedule slippage and operability index often applied to measure the success of Megaprojects, should be carefully followed by project management teams, during the implementation of Process Automation Systems. In the oil and gas industry megaprojects are executed in a stage gated work process typically divided into phases with a pause for assessment and decision about whether to proceed. The gate assessments examine both economic/business and technical aspects of the project, to make decisions to stop, recycle or proceed. The purpose of this research is to identify practices in a stage gated work process approach (FEL Front End Loading) to increase the probability of success in Process Automation Systems implementation given complexity factors in Industrial Megaprojects. / text

Over the decades, the market competition is becoming stronger and stronger; Innovation is generally considered as one of the main drivers of growth in business field, skunk works as a form of innovation has been widely used for companies to make their business outstanding from the others and achieve sustainable development, and at the same time try to compete with the increasing number of competitors. However, due to statistics, the failure rate of skunk works projects is so high, which means it contents high risks and uncertainties. As a result, it is quite important to identify some success factors for successful skunk works.   In order to find the answer, Losec case had been used as a single case study in this thesis, consequently, team leader and leadership, team member and team working, management support, timing and manage change, opportunities and luck had been identified as important factors that will lead skunk works project to success.   Also, a framework of successful skunk works flower had been discussed in managerial implementation. Mangers can try to find a balance between the successful factors in order to achieve successful skunk works.

A better understanding of kinship foster families' perceptions of the familial factors and parenting beliefs that promote or inhibit successful fostering can inform child welfare practice and policy. To this end, and to extend previous research [Buehler, C., Cox, M. E., and Cuddeback, G. (2003). Foster parents' perceptions of factors that promote or inhibit successful fostering. Qualitative Social Work: Research and Practice, 2(1), 61-84.], semi-structured interviews were conducted with kinship foster parents to explore their perceptions with regard to the familial factors and parenting beliefs that promote or inhibit successful fostering. Nine kinship foster parents from 8 families were interviewed. The results of this study were compared to the results of the Buehler et al. [Buehler, C., Cox, M. E., and Cuddeback, G. (2003). Foster parents' perceptions of factors that promote or inhibit successful fostering. Qualitative Social Work: Research and Practice, 2(1), 61-84.] study on nonkinship foster parents. Similar themes emerged from both groups, but kinship foster parents described more complex issues with their families- of-origin. Characteristics that promote successful fostering of kin include support of family, commitment to children, faith, good parenting abilities, church involvement, flexibility, and adequate resources. Characteristics that inhibit successful fostering of kin include strained relations with birth family, poor discipline strategies, inability to deal with "the system," lack of resources, and inability to deal with children's emotional, behavioral, physical problems. The findings suggest a need to focus on special training and support services for kinship foster parents, as well as assessments specific to kinship fostering.

The success and benefits of community gardens in cities has been documented in the literature. However, do positive aspects of community gardens translate to small towns? The merit of a community garden is in the building of relationships within a community and healthy interactions within the garden. This study looked at the successful elements community gardens offer for the users and the surrounding community in towns with populations of fewer than 50,000. A web-based survey was used to ask questions about community garden’s leadership, members, operation, and community context. Responses to the survey give a look into the setup and operation of gardens in small towns. Results indicate typical standards for a community garden including organizational structure, property ownership, and membership. Additional observations indicate the presence of community elements such as universities, farmers markets, and local agriculture are commonly found where community gardens exist.
