Výroba horního dílu benzínové nádrže / Production of the upper part of gasoline tank

Minář, Martin January 2017 (has links)
The thesis deals with the design of the upper part of the gas tank. Taking into account the shape and dimensions, the solution was chosen the most advantageous drawing technology without a thinning of 1 mm thick DC04 steel. The solution took account of the requirements of the contracting authority and selected the production for one operation. However, the simulation proved inappropriateness of the solution, so the procedure was modified to two operation proces. At the first stroke, a larger part of the body will be created, and in the other, a calibration of the cut-out dimensions will occur. For the first operation, the design of the tool kit, including drawing documentation for the CTH 250 press, was elaborated.

Optimal pressure control using switching solenoid valves

Alaya, Oussama, Fiedler, Maik January 2016 (has links)
This paper presents the mathematical modeling and the design of an optimal pressure tracking controller for an often used setup in pneumatic applications. Two pneumatic chambers are connected with a pneumatic tube. The pressure in the second chamber is to be controlled using two switching valves connected to the first chamber and based on the pressure measurement in the first chamber. The optimal control problem is formulated and solved using the MPC framework. The designed controller shows good tracking quality, while fulfilling hard constraints, like maintaining the pressure below a given upper bound.

FLUID-STRUCTURE INTERACTION : EFFECTS OF SLOSHING IN LIQUID-CONTAINING STRUCTURES

Thiriat, Paul January 2013 (has links)
This report presents the work done within the framework of my master thesis in the program Infrastructure Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. This project has been proposed and sponsored by the French company Setec TPI, part of the Setec group, located in Paris. The overall goal of this study is to investigate fluid-structure interaction and particularly sloshing in liquid-containing structures subjected to seismic or other dynamic action. After a brief introduction, the report is composed of three main chapters. The first one presents and explains fluid-structure interaction equations. Fluid-structure interaction problems obey a general flow equation and several boundary conditions, given some basic assumptions. The purpose of the two following chapters is to solve the corresponding system of equations. The first approach proposes an analytical solution: the problem is solved for 2D rectangular tanks. Different models are considered and compared in order to analyze and describe sloshing phenomenon. Liquid can be decomposed in two parts: the lower part that moves in unison with the structure is modeled as an impulsive added mass; the upper part that sloshes is modeled as a convective added mass. Each of these two added mass creates hydrodynamic pressures and simple formulas are given in order to compute them. The second approach proposes a numerical solution: the goal is to be able to solve the problem for any kind of geometry. The differential problem is resolved using a singularity method and Gauss functions. It is stated as a boundary integral equation and solved by means of the Boundary Element Method. The linear system obtained is then implemented on Matlab. Scripts and results are presented. Matlab programs are run to solve fluid-structure interaction problems in the case of rectangular tanks: the results concur with the analytical solution which justifies the numerical solution. This report gives a good introduction to sloshing phenomenon and gathers several analytical solutions found in the literature. Besides, it provides a Matlab program able to model effects of sloshing in any liquid-containing structures.

Som fisken i vattnet / Baltic fish tank

Nelson, Madeleine January 2015 (has links)
Baltic fish tank is a project generated with the aim to recreate vivacity at Skeppsbrokajen by adding a fish market that is not only a venue but also an attractive force within itself. From early mornings to late evenings the market will offer a scene of fishing activities.   The project name Baltic fish tank has a historical reference to the fish buyers sumps, which existed on the site during the early 1900s. The market is therefore placed under the existing quay level to free space on the embankment as well as create a suitable environment for seafood. A glass wall is the only thing separating the Baltic sea from the visitor and heightens the feeling of closeness to the ocean.   The marketplace is situated in between two of the Old Town's alleys. The floors of the building are designed for two types of visitors; the client passing by and the consumer who wants the full fish market experience. The vision is to enhance the visitors’ experience, allowing the consumer to follow the fish from the fisherman’s hand to the cold ice display out in the marketplace. The entire process including the gutting of the fish is easily followed through the glass walls adding to a full transparency.

The Effect of Hose Type and Cleanout Procedure on Crop Injury due to Herbicide Residues

Cundiff, Gary Thomas 07 May 2016 (has links)
Field and greenhouse experiments were conducted to determine the effect of auxin injury on soybean and cotton due to spray hose material, formulation and cleanout procedures on auxin equipment cleanout. Visual estimations of injury (VEOI) in wheat, height reduction, and yield reduction due to rimsulfuron and glyphosate titration was higher when compared to rimsulfuron only treatments with respect to 1/2X through the 1/256X treatments. Sequestration of 2,4-D within agricultural hose types did differ due to hose type and is confirmed by analytical testing, but field observation of wheat did not show differences among treatments due to VEOI, height reduction or yield reduction. Using soybean as a bio-indicator, differences did occur with respect to dicamba sequestration in agricultural hose types with respect to VEOI, height reduction, node reduction, yield reduction and ppm analyte retained. Results indicate chemical makeup of hose type in determination of ppm analyte dicamba retained. Cleaning procedures of water or ammonia do not prove to be different with respect to VEOI, height reduction, yield reduction or ppm analyte retained. Sequestration of 2,4-D within valved manifold systems and using water or ammonia as cleanout procedures in conjunction with rinse procedures did not show differences with respect to VEOI, height reduction, nodes above cracked boll (NACB), yield reduction or ppm analyte retained. It was not until standard 2,4-D applications were applied in field experiments when differences were observed. Deactivation of dicamba and 2,4-D using the Fenton procedure within various rates, showed an interaction with respect to VEOI, height reduction, node reduction, yield reduction and ppm analyte. Using soybean as a bio-indicator showed differences with the Fenton procedure deactivating the dicamba analyte in the 1/16X, 1/64X and 1/256X rate with respect to VEOI, height reduction, node reduction, yield reduction and ppm analyte retained. Using cotton as a bio-indicator showed differences with the Fenton procedure deactivating the 2,4-D analyte in every rate with respect to VEOI, height reduction, yield reduction and ppm analyte.
