Sledování populace zimujících kalousů ušatých (Asio otus) na území ČR / Monitoring of the Wintering Long-eared Owl (Asio otus) in the Czech Republic Territory

This diploma thesis deals with the monitoring of the Long-eared Owl (Asio otus) on the wintering grounds in Kladno Kročehlavy between 2015 and 2017. The monitoring is focused on spatial activity linked to food sources and food analysis. The research aimed at finding out whether the maximum distance of night overflight is within five kilometers from the night shelter. Another focus was on the discovery of the variability of the food supply in relation to the weather over the past 10 years and the comparison of the data with the results of the already published works. Several methods were used in the research. Method of observation, capture into impact ornithological nets, ringing, collection and analysis of pellets and modern method of GPS telemetry. Using mentioned methods, it was found that the maximum distance of overflights linked to food sources is not only within five kilometers from the night shelter. These distances may vary in length. The research managed to track the overflight less than 30 kilometers away. Further findings on the content of food supply and weather showed that there has been only slight variation in the occurrence of the main boar loot in the last ten years. <p>I det här arbetet presenteras en studie från ett projekt som ägde rum i Kolmården djurpark sommaren och hösten år 2003. Projektet bygger på ett uppdrag från jordbruksdepartementet. Det handlade om huruvida grävlingar i fångenskap reagerar i olika stressande situationer. För att kunna undersöka detta har grävlingarnas naturliga beteende studerats under fyra perioder från juni till september samma år. Det som studerats under perioden är grävlingarnas olika beteenden, lokationen i grävlingshägnet samt fysiologiska parametrar så som hjärtfrekvens och kroppstemperatur hos grävlingarna. </p><p>Observationerna har i huvudsak skett nattetid och då genom filmning med kamera med IR-belysning. För att kunna mäta hjärtfrekvens och kroppstemperatur opererades en sändare in i grävlingarna. Grävlingarna är nattaktiva djur som vanligtvis vilar under dagen. De är mest aktiva under våren och sommaren och därefter avtar aktiviteten successivt fram till vintern när den går i vila. De tillbringar minst tid i sina bohyddor under sommarperioden och när hösten kommer uppehåller de sig mer och mer i hyddorna. Grävlingarnas kroppstemperatur ligger på ca 37 ° C men sjunker när hösten och vintern närmar sig. Hjärtfrekvensen varierar mellan 50 och 120 slag per minut beroende på hur aktiva de är.</p>

This master´s thesis deals with the analysis of experimental telemetrical ECG records with intention to determine the long-term influence of anticancer drug sunitinib on the electrical activity of heart. A laboratory rat was chosen as a model organism for the experimental study carried out at the Department of Physiology at Faculty of Medicine, Masaryk university. The sunitinib was applied to the rats at an early age and the ECG was measured with a 20-week delay using the Stellar telemetry system. To measure the effect of sunitinib on the electrical activity of the heart chambers, an analysis of the duration of the RR and QT interval and the width of the QRS complex was chosen. These parameters were detected by the wavelet transform method. Statistical analysis was performed using nonparametric tests - the Wilcoxon signed rank test, the MannWhitney test and the Friedman Test. The obtained results suggest that the use of sunitinib has no long-term effect on the observed parameters for the chosen animal model. After extension of the study, the results obtained could contribute to assess the effect of drugs on electrical activity of the human heart several decades after sunitinib treatment termination.

This thesis describes design and creation of application which collects and values telemetry data. Thesis consist of design and implementation which describes whole system, server settings as well as approach how to consume any given data. Corner stone of this application is based on given data from telemetry station (sensors) and projecting them on the map background. Application consist of user interface and logic how to project any given data into the map. Graphics interface is created using HTML, JavaScript and CSS programming languages. Logic itself is programmed by using backend language PHP including Laravel Framework in combination with MySQL database. Result of this thesis is working implementation covering administration user interface, working cooperation of MQTT server and APIs. There are also implemented all necessary parts for enablement of user interface with cooperation with map background layer. Implementation creates two possible ways how to install package necessary to run this app on Ubuntu system.

This work describes basic information of used protocols, electronic connection of this transmitter and software equipment.

Bezdrátová telemetrie pro létající objekt / Wireles Flying Object Telemetry

This paper is engaged in specification, design and implementation of a telemetry module for flying object. Specifically, it focuses on the selection of the appropriate carrier frequency of the integrated circuit providing bidirectional communication to a sufficient distance and design of the protocol used in the transmission. Furthermore, the document focuses on the design of communication modules using these integrated circuits, altimeter sensor module, module to control the actuators and design of the application for mobile phones used to display the measured data. With regard to legislative and technical options, I chose a carrier frequency of 2.4 GHz. For this frequency is commercially available integrated circuit CC2511, which in cooperation with integrated circuit CC2591 should be able to provide telemetry range about 2 km. I chose BMP085 sensor for altitude measuring. It is communicating over I2C bus as well as a module for controlling the actuator, which uses a microcontroller ATMEGA48-20AU. The mobile phone communicates with the ground station via the USB bus.
