Spor o význam teorie racionální volby / Dispute over the plausibility of rational choice theoryRak, Ondřej January 2012 (has links)
Many critics of rational choice theory aim at unrealistic psychological assumption of this theory. To what extent is this kind of critic relevant? If we analyze the formalized scheme of choice than we will find difficult to interpret this scheme as psychological theory that develops intentional explanations. We should rather understand this theory as a theory developing causal explanations that are generated by the structure of surrounding. Intencionality in this theory is only a auxiliary tool and the explanation is made in terms of structure, not in terms of mental states. From this perspective most of the critic aim at wrong target.

Geodetický chaos v porušeném Schwarzschildově poli / Geodesic chaos in a perturbed Schwarzschild fieldPolcar, Lukáš January 2018 (has links)
We study the dynamics of time-like geodesics in the field of black holes perturbed by a circular ring or disc, restricting to static and axisymmetric class of space-times. Two analytical methods are tested which do not require solving the equations of motion: (i) the so-called geometric criterion of chaos based on eigenvalues of the Riemann tensor, and (ii) the method of Melnikov which detects the chaotic layer arising by break-up of a homoclinic orbit. Predictions of both methods are compared with numerical results in order to learn how accurate and reliable they are.

Modely komického v Haškově románu "Švejk" v porovnání s vrcholnými satirickými díly bulharské, ruské a srbské beletrie / Models of the comic in Hašek's novel "Švejk" compared with the top satirical works of the Bulgarian, Russian and Serbian fictionDichev, Bogdan January 2012 (has links)
Keywords: literary comic, comic model, theory of carnivalesque, theory of the play, imagination, incongruity The dissertation pursues three main goals: to define the differentiating features of specific comic models (goal A - the differentiation goal); to introduce the principles of the comic in "Švejk", and its polyphony and originality, the technical devices, which shape it, and the semantic procedures of its creation (goal B - the analysis goal); to prove that between Hašek's "Švejk" and the other four works of Bulgarian, Russian and Serbian satirical prose ("Bay Ganyo", "The Twelve Chairs", "The Little Golden Calf" and "Autobiography") there is a stable common basis (a comic model), which is specified in each of those works (goal C - the juxtaposition goal). The conceptual approach in the methodology of the exploration is based on the conviction that the core of the fictional magic in Hašek's "Švejk" is precisely the comic. The methodological approach of the hierarchical systematization wields all known qualifications of the comic in the models displayed here, which have the nature of unifying classification frames. The methodology of the choice and application of the conceptual instruments is based on the taxonomy of the famous Czech cultural critic Vladimír Borecký, whose terminological...

Jak nově myslet architekturu. Pozdní myšlení Petera Eisenmana a jeho kritická teorie architektury / How to think Architecture in a new way. Late though of Peter Eisenman and his critical theory of architectureTourek, Jiří January 2014 (has links)
Dissertation thesis "How to think Architecture in a new way. Late though of Peter Eisenman and his critical theory of architecture" tries to summarise and analyse the key thoughts of architect and thinker Peter Eisenman in his late oeuvre. The point of departure of his theoretical thinking seems to be refusal of any timeless essence of architecture and a will to "dislocate" architecture from influence of metaphysics. The way to this is "criticality", a notion constituted with three basic terms: interiority (the interiority of architecture defines the discipline, what it is that makes architecture singular), exteriority (external concepts that change architecture by being internalised into the discipline and changing it) and anteriority (anteriority is the sedimented history of architecture; history of interiority). These three terms are according to Eisenman connected in a notion of "undecidability" that serves as a central criterium to criticality and in a "diagram" that is a mean to overcome metaphysical implications of architecture. At the end of the thesis there is a summary of Eisenman's theoretical work and its importance and an attempt is made to set so conceived whole in its entirety to the thought of "end of metaphysics". In this context is Eisenman seen to be in a position similar from...

Vliv recese na uplatňování Corporate Social Responsibility / Impact of recession on implementation of Corporate Social ResponsibilityPlacier, Klára January 2011 (has links)
During the last few years, companies have had an increasing interest on playing a more significant role in society, besides their merely economic function. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become a relevant concept leading them to do so. However, after the recent economic decline, the business model of most corporations had to be reviewed, including the CSR policy. This dissertation work discusses the impact of recession on CSR. The topic is highly relevant, since the consequences of the economic crisis have still a strong influence on business environment, in the form of a degrading level of trust and a decline of moral commitment to society. In order to evaluate this phenomenon, a research was conducted in three companies that are engaged in long-term CSR. With case study as research method, the impact of recession on CSR has been identified and a trend for future development has been outlined. As one of the main conclusions of this research it was proved, that after the economic decline, rather than dismissed, CSR was re-aimed in a more efficient way. CSR has helped companies to survive better the economic crisis and has taught them, how it can be beneficial not only for business but also for the society.

Rozhodčí řízení v mezinárodním obchodním styku / Arbitration procedure within international business transactionsŠteflová, Iva January 2013 (has links)
The diploma thesis on Arbitration procedure within international business transactions focuses on the place of arbitration procedure and its relation to the national system of law. The first chapter is concerned with the dispute resolutions within international business transactions. The thesis characterises the alternative dispute resolutions and defines the term of arbitration procedure within international business transactions. The basic characteristics thereof are specified and the theories which attempt to explain nature of arbitration are described - contractual, jurisdictional, mixed and autonomy theory. The term of the place of arbitration is defined in the second chapter as the real place situated in the territory of a particular state. This place is distinguished from the arbitration seat and from other terms which used to be confused with the place of arbitration. The arbitration seat is deemed to represent legal domicile of the arbitration. The system of law of the seat determines the legal regime of arbitration procedure. The thesis further describes two main theories dealing with the relation between the place of arbitration and the national system of law - seat theory and delocalization theory. The relation between the place of arbitration and the national system of law is also...

Divnolidi z Brna a okolí: Konstrukce jinakosti v prostředí internetové sociální sítě Facebook / Divnolidi z Brna a okolí: Construction of otherness on Facebook social network siteMatesová, Kateřina January 2016 (has links)
This thesis aims to describe and analyze the process of construction of otherness, use of humour and taste performance on Facebook page Divnolidi z Brna a okolí. Theoretical background explores contemporary approaches to the research of social network sites (particulary on privacy and sharing; a separate chapter is devoted to Facebook social network site), sociological term of taste as the instrument for social distinction (here, the study is primarily based on the work of Pierre Bourdieu), interdisciplinary concept of otherness (in which we examine works of Mary Douglas, Stuart Hall and Marc Augé) as well as theoretical approach to humour called theory of superiority. We conducted a quantitative description of Divnolidi z Brna a okolí page and a qualitative analysis (a method often called "data-crawling") of 47 page posts. Analytical section of this study focuses on answering following questions: What types of posts can be found on the site? How are individuals captured in these posts perceived? How do the users perceive taste / otherness of the captured individuals? Where were these "weird people" (in Czech language "divnolidi") spotted and how do the users perceive these places? Furthermore, we analyze the use of humour by the page users and the way they react to the site's policy and other...
