Studium kvantové reakční dynamiky semiklasickou metodou. / Investigation of quantum reaction dynamics using semiclassical method.

Táborský, Jiří January 2016 (has links)
In the presented thesis we study quantum reaction dynamics of H2O- using semiclassical method. Using ab initio quantum potential evaluated on a fine grid we derive analytical formula for potential energy surface, which is used for solving classical equations of motion. A reaction path is analyzed using contour plots with a focus on a saddle point area. Reaction dynamics analysis is focused on properties of interaction probability and cross section depending on impact parameter, collision energy and initial vibrational state of interacting molecule. Final results are compared with experimental data.

Evoluční hry a jejich využití v ekonomických konfliktech / Evolutionary games and their applications to economic conflicts

Kuzmiak, Maroš January 2016 (has links)
At the beginning of my Master's thesis we define basic terms such as payoff, strategy, best reply and Nash equilibrium. Furthermore, we introduce the population perspective, in which during a random meeting of a pair of players, these players interact according to their strategies and they receive payoffs. We define the criterion of evolutionary stability, which shows a link between payoffs in the game and strategy spreading among population. The most common description of this evolution is based on the replicator equations. We analyze their basic properties and examine the relationship between the stationary points of this system and the concepts of Nash equilibrium and evolutionary stability. In the following practical part, we apply the introduced theory to model the Cournot duopoly. Its aim is to analyze the model characteristics in terms of evolutionary stability and to determine the duopolist's behavior in the long run.

Obtíže při rozhodování v oblasti profesní volby / Difficulties in career decision making

Brožek, Pavel January 2016 (has links)
The theoretical part of this diploma thesis consists of four basic areas which are crucial for better understanding of profession choice difficulties and subsequently provides an introduction to the second part of the thesis - the empirical part. In the first chapter, the reader will be informed about the definition of the profession choice, its historical development, which covers a pretty wide context, in which the profession choice is being accomplished. The following chapter deals with career development theories focusing on personality, development theories targeting career and theories solely focused on social influences effecting the career development. The last two chapters deal with an adolescence period which plays the key role in the further career path of the individual. There is also a chapter describing and sorting difficulties while choosing a profession. The aim of the empirical part is to describe the development of profession choice difficulties at the end of secondary education - the period of life which is considered by many authors to be vitally important for the adolescent profession development. Hypotheses are verified by comparison of the results of the questionnaire that investigates profession choice difficulties in between third, fourth and fourth grade - directly before...

Výpočet Value-at-Risk s využitím teorie extrémních hodnot / Value-at-Risk Calculation Using Extreme Value Theory

Lipták, Patrik January 2017 (has links)
This diploma thesis studies extreme value theory and its application in finan- cial risk management, when focusing on computation of well-known risk measure - Value at Risk (VaR). The first part of the thesis reviews theoretical background. In particular, it rigorously discusses the extreme value theory when emphasi- zing fundamentals theorems and their consequences followed by the summary of methods based on this theory, specifically, Block Maxima method, Hill met- hod and Peaks over Threshold method. Moreover, specific issues that may arise in such applications and ways how to deal with these problems are described. The second part of the thesis contains extensive empirical study, which together with theoretical foundings applies each of the examined method to real market data of the closing prices of Dow Jones Industrial Average stock index, stocks of JPMorgan and stock index Russell 2000 in order to compare methods based on extreme value theory together with the classic methodology RiskMetrics. 1

Asociativní odtržení elektronu při srážce záporného iontu / Associative electron detachment in collision of negative anion

Dvořák, Jan January 2017 (has links)
Low-energy resonant processes in collisions of electrons, atoms, ions and molecules significantly contributed to the evolution of the early Universe. Much attention has not yet been paid to processes involving lithium atoms and ions. In this thesis, we present the theoretical description of two associa- tive detachment processes of Li with H− and H with Li− within the nonlocal resonant theory. The nonlocal resonant models were constructed from poten- tial energy curves computed by the MOLPRO package of ab initio programs and from electron-molecule scattering data obtained from R-matrix calcula- tions by the UK molecular R-matrix suite of codes. The Lippman-Schwinger equation describing the nuclear motion was solved by the Schwinger-Lanczos algorithm. We developed a new method, which is based on the singular value decomposition method and separates the coupling potential. We predict sev- eral orders of magnitude difference between the temperature-dependent rate constants of the studied collisions at temperatures below 1000 K.

Korespodence mezi kvantoidy a matroidy / Correspodence between quantoids and matroids

Miklín, Vojtěch January 2017 (has links)
The notion of quantoid is an analogy to the notion of matroid in the context of quantum realm. This thesis summarizes basic properties of quantoids and the correspondence between quantoids and selfdual matroids. A new set of axioms is derived as an alternative to the set which was used as the original definition of quantoid. A catalog enumerating all quantoids with the size of their ground set up to 5 elements is attached in the appendix and a larger database of quantoids (up to 7 elements in the ground set) is enclosed as an attachment of this thesis.

Principy maxima pro nelineární systémy eliptických parciálních diferenciálních rovnic / Maximum principles for elliptic systems of partial differential equations

Bílý, Michael January 2017 (has links)
We consider nonlinear elliptic Bellman systems which arise in the theory of stochastic differential games. The right hand sides of the equations (which are called Hamiltonians) may have quadratic growth with respect to the gradient of the unknowns. Under certain assumptions on Lagrangians (from which the Hamiltonians are derived), that are satisfied for many types of stochastic games, we establish the existence and uniqueness of a Nash point and develop structural conditions on the Hamiltonians. From these conditions we establish a certain version of maximum and minimum principle. This result is then used to establish the existence of a bound solution. 1

Critical Theory and Dialectics of Contemporary Economics / Critical Theory and Dialectics of Contemporary Economics

Maialeh, Robin January 2017 (has links)
The subject of this dissertation thesis is a confrontation of contemporary economic thought with critical theory. Based on the holistic critique of the production process, the author deals with elementary principles of wealth creation and allocation, mirroring themselves in the issue of economic inequality. An applied transdisciplinary approach leads to dialectical understanding of market mechanism which accentuates an antagonistic character of its actors´ aims and reveals its non-empirical causalities. These abstract connections then become a viable explanatory complement to already advanced empirical apparatus of economic inequality. The goal of the thesis is to formulate an economic model that takes into consideration both empirical findings of contemporary studies on economic inequality and reflection of the critical theory. The value added lies in the fact that the economic model presents an interaction of economic agents and through probabilistic drive towards deepening economic inequalities exposes market mechanism as the diverging factor of social reproduction. Further, the model shows that Pareto-optimization, a frequently used analytically-normative tool of contemporary economics, principally does not suffice in grasping market-based inequalities. The contribution of the thesis is researching particular economic phenomena from the unique perspective which has not been yet fully accomplished in the context of modern economics.

Teorie her a racionalita rozhodovatele / Game theory and rational decision-maker

Plaček, Vilém January 2017 (has links)
View of rational choice in coherence with ultimatum game. Rational choice theory adjusted by joining behavioral economics to better comprehend decision-making processes. In this thesis I focus on researching strong influences using multiple simple games. Namely: ultimatum game, dictator game and modifications of previous. They will be carried out by online questionnaire. Next step will be analysis of components to determine significant ones and impact of game's modifications. I assume that decision-maker's rationality will be disproven. This thesis will continue with assessing influence of risk and fear of loss. Goal is to gather enough of detailed data about motivations and participants in order to perform analysis and establish statistically significant influences.
