Decision making in Ultimatum Game / Rozhodování v Ultimatum GameAvanesyan, Galina January 2013 (has links)
The aim of this work is to show that even people who outwardly demonstrate irrational behaviour are actually rational. The only reason why their actions deviate from theoretical rational behaviour is given by different utility functions. Ultimatum game with its easy rules represents a great way to show deviations between human and rational behaviours. The model described in the thesis focuses on Responder's decision making, which is influenced not only by maximization of pure economical profit but also by many other factors, which are summed in the model in one variable -- attitude to fairness. It is shown how this variable can be predicted using decisions obtained from a multi-round Ultimatum game. To prove that humans behave in accordance with their own preferences, the modelled game does not only estimate players' attitudes to fairness but also predicts players' following actions using knowledge of estimated values.

This thesis deals with the application of the methodology LEAN and TOC to solve the problem of low capacity of fabric cutting machine. The aim of the thesis is to apply LEAN and TOC methodology to propose solutions for continuous improvement of cutting process. To solve the problem itself is used mainly principle of five focusing steps, which is based on the theory of constraints and which is described in the theoretical part of the thesis. The theoretical part also introduces some methods and tools of lean management, which are already in place in the company BOS Automotive Products CZ, s.r.o, also their specific applications are demonstrated. During research was identified a potential source of continuous improvement. This source are data that constantly sends cutter during operation. In conclusion are summarized results and suggestions for improvement based on the used principles and recommendations for further improvement.

A Game-Theoretical Analysis of Anti-Corruption Measures / Máme legalizovat a dotovat korupci?Kobrč, Marek January 2014 (has links)
In this thesis, I suggest a new anti-corruption measure. The measure makes corruption unfeasible by making the interests of the culprits incompatible. This is achieved by giving immunity to the culprit who reports the corruption. Said culprit is allowed to retain any benefits he has already obtained and is given a reward for making the report. The purpose of the measure is to discourage the parties from corruption ex ante. The paper presents an argument that no immunization and reward take place, because the culprits are rendered unable to find mutually profitable corruption deals. The effect of various assumptions about the corruption is then discussed.

Prostorová koncentrace, specializace a ekonomický růst / Spatial Concentration, Specialization and Economic GrowthUhlířová, Petra January 2012 (has links)
In various regions, the number of employees working in each sector is different. Some sectors may be in the region employ more workers than other sectors, indicating a higher degree of specialization. In each region, the degree of specialization varies, which could have a direct impact on economic growth. The aim of this study was therefore to investigate the relationship between the degree of specialization and economic growth of the region. It turns out that there is a positive relationship between the degree of specialization and economic growth, which means that the growth rate of specialization will lead to economic growth. It follows that the focus of the region, especially on one sector can lead to faster economic growth.

Networking neziskových organizací / Networking of non-profit organizationsBelinová, Gabriela January 2013 (has links)
This work deals with networking activities and communication of non-profit organizations and their representatives with external subjects. Networking is a strategic tool, which NGOs can use to make contacts and get new opportunities. As well as in the private sector non-profit organizations must deal with many obstacles. Most often it is a lack of resources. Due to lack of funds non-profit organizations cannot afford to employ experts. Therefore we can see that non-profit organizations struggle with a certain amount of unprofessionalism. They lack the strategy and they do not have set organizational processes. Communication with external subjects or networking activities are not an exception. This has been fully compensated with their energy and enthusiasm. Employees of non-profit organizations are not motivated financially but by doing a good thing. The study shows that employees of non-profit organizations are interested in new trends, what networking undoubtedly is.

Lokalizační faktory průmyslových zón ve Zlínském kraji / Localization factors of industrial zones in the Zlín regionMlčák, Ladislav January 2015 (has links)
The thesis is based on regional analysis of industrial zones and empirical research of firms located in industrial zones in the Zlín region where searches and evaluates the factors of localization firms. Industrial zones are often considered as an instrument to raise the economic level of the region, but they must comply with market demands for localization in order to use their capacities. The theoretical part presents a view into the theories of localization in order to classify the most important location factors. The following practical part first describes the 17 industrial zones in the region. These characteristics form the conditions of comparison and evaluation of localization factors in connection with empirical research of firms located in industrial zones. The analysis also marginally deals with the selected impacts of industrial zones.

Nezáporné lineární operátory a jejich využití v ekonometrických a statistických modelech / Non-negative linear operators and their use in econometric and statistic modelsHorský, Richard January 2008 (has links)
Non-negative operators, in special case non-negative matrices, are an interesting topics for many scientists and scientific teams from the beginning of the 20th century. It is not suprising because there are a lot of applications in different areas of science like economy, statistics, linear programming, computer science and others. We can give as the particular example the theory of the Markov chains in which we deal with non-negative matrices, so called transition matrices. They are of the special form and we called them stochastic matrices. Another example is given by the non-negative operator on spaces of infinite dimension which is employed in the theory of stochastic processes. It is the backward shift operator called the lag operator as well. The non-negativity in these examples is considered as the piecewise non-negativity. Another type of non-negativity is that in the sense of inner products. In the case of matrices we talk about positive-definite or positive-semidefinite matrices. A typical example is the covariance matrix of a random vector or symmetrization of any linear operator, for instance the symmetrization of the difference operator. The terms inverse problem or ill-posed problem have been gaining popularity in modern science since the middle of the last century. The subjects of the first publications in this area were related to quantum scattering theory, geophysics, astronomy and others. Thanks to powerful computers the chances for applications of the theory of inverse and ill-posed problems has extended in almost all fields of science which use mathematical methods. Ill-posed problems bear the feature of instability and there is the need of regularization if we want to get some reasonable solution. A typical example of the regularization is the differencing of stochastic process with the purpose to obtain a stationary process. Another concept of regularization used for solving e.g. integral equations with compact operators consists in application of regularization method as truncated singular value decomposition, Tichonov regularization method or Landweber iteration method. Mathematical tools employed in this work are those of the functional analysis. It is the area of mathematics in which distinct mathematical structures meet each other. They are structures built within different mathematical disciplines as mathematical analysis, topology, theory of sets, algebra (mainly linear algebra) and theory of measure (probability). The functional analysis framework enables us to obtain right formulations of definitions and problems providing the general view on the notions and problems of the theory of stochastic processes.
