Ďoubal, Jakub January 2016 (has links)
The aim of this thesis is to analyse the impacts of business cycles on individual segments of the automotive industry in the last 23 years in the Czech Republic. The areas analysed are sales and production of cars. Attention is also paid to the downstream industry of parts producers. The theoretical part deals with the theoretical approaches of the business cycle, basic methods of measurement cycles and, furthermore, theories related to the automotive industry. The analysis in the practical part is developed on this theoretical basis. The analytical section is divided in three parts according to three full cycles that went through the analysed time period. What was most apparent was the difference of every cycle. It is from this difference that the different impact of cycle on analysed indicators in each period comes. However, it is evident that the automotive industry is behaving procyclically. Most of the indicators are weakly or moderately cyclical, based on the correlation coefficient.

Je potřeba motivovat zaměstnance veřejného sektoru jinak než soukromého? / Is it necessary to motivate employees in the private sector in the same way as public sector?

Ondračka, Michal January 2011 (has links)
Work motivation is one of basic methods of management, it is a specific scientific field containing many scientific theories. An Effective motivation must be focused on characteristics of both the subject and the target. The greatest economic subject is the national economy with two cooperating sectors -- private, based on private ownership, and public sector financed by public sources. People engaged in one of these sectors can have various ideas and claims. For all managers, it is essential to know these claims and interests in order to apply a convenient motivation method. The aim of the proposed diploma thesis is to contribute to a solution of the following question -- is it necessary to motivate employees in public sector differently than employees in private sector? For this purpose I designed and evaluated a questionnaire. In last chapter, I suggest what measures are most convenient in order to reach the most effective motivation of employees in a public sector as well as in a private sector.

Motion-picture spatial-differentiation model / Model prostorové diferenciace a film

Bokšteflová, Barbora January 2009 (has links)
The thesis presents a game theoretic model of two directors on a single market. It introduces a variable film type which attains a value from the interval [0,1], where the boundaries expresses the art and the mainstream film, respectively. Each director has opposite preferences over a film type and chooses which type of film to shoot. The director's decision influences the profit function of the other director. The objective of each director is to maximize his profit function. The profit function is the difference of the quadratic audience function and of the cost function. The cost function is the sum of quadratic production cost function and linear disutility cost function which expresses the director's unmeasurable cost issued from the deviation from his most preferred film type. The model therefore includes both the economic and the artistic incentives which influence the directors' decision. We prove that for each pair of profit functions, there exists at least one pure strategy Nash equilibrium. The discussion of possible outcomes is illustrated by an empirical application.

Pojetí člověka v ekonomii / A Concept of Man in Economics

Műller, Jan January 2012 (has links)
This diploma thesis researches model of economic man, its historical background, and also modern critics of this concept and alternative approach to economic man, especially in behavioral economics. Human (im)perfection leads to the discussion about a range of liberty man should get eventually to which extent should a man be led by paternalism. Therefore this thesis introduces and tests concept of libertarian paternalism which is applied to drug issues. The thesis demonstrates that model of economic man is in many ways too simplified and insufficient. Thus, extention of this model with findings of psychology, biology and other sciences seems beneficial. Libertarian paternalism, despite few shortcomings, shows potential to be realisable and viable in certain situations.
