Planering och styrning av aktiviteter i byggproduktion under pandemin - ur ett Leanperspektiv / Planning and management of activities in construction production during the pandemic - from a Leanperspective

Månsson, Anton, Nyman, Tim January 2022 (has links)
The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic brought great challenges to our everyday life as well as new demands regarding how to manage a construction site during such difficult time. The aim of this study is to investigate how the planning and management of activities in terraced house projects have been conducted during the pandemic as well as finding correlations to chosen notions in a theoretic concept called Lean. Furthermore, the study includes a mapping of which effects the pandemic has had on specific flows and conditions. Additionally, the study includes which actions the management took to handle the mapped effects, lessons learned from the situation and which knowledge they will bring into future projects. The study is carried out in collaboration with NCC and is based on three case studies. Interviews have been held with on-site managers that have run projects during the pandemic, in combination with literature studies. The result of the study shows that planning for an activity on-site starts with a solid planning phase to ensure flows and conditions. During the activity the management makes sure to follow-up with inspections to guarantee progress. An activity can only be deemed finished when a final inspection is held, and the activity is approved. The concepts of Lean can in many ways be recognized in the projects, for example the management puts great focus on continuous improvements and respect for people. The flow of crews and materials has been more effected by the pandemic than any of the other flows and conditions. To counter the uncertainties of the situation the management has had to reorganize and reschedule activities in combination with performing risk assessment. The main lessons that the management has learnt is the usefulness of digital meetings, the importance of utilizing capabilities within the own organization as well as the knowledge of how vulnerable the tightly interconnected construction process really is.

Rodinný dům v Československu po roce 1945 / Family house in Czechoslovakia after 1945

Dočekalová Klimešová, Lenka January 2019 (has links)
The main part of the doctoral thesis analyses the form of terraced housing in Czechoslovakia in the years 1945-1990. It searches for the original roots, the principles of formation and the characteristic types. The purpose was to find an answer to the question of where its values lie, because the state-controlled standardization negatively influenced the appearance of an average terraced house. The quest of seeking positive approaches the pre-war development of terraced housing and examines parallels between the groups of the 70s and the present. The subject is embedded in the wider framework of the state housing policy and its impact on the character of the new development. The thesis focuses on the period of the 70s, when family development culminat-ed. The main part analyzes three selected groups of terraced houses from the seventies. It is based on the study of available project documentations, which was made accessible by the archives of building authorities. Selected groups are considered in terms of public space and new types of terraced houses. The thesis highlights the diversity of typologi-cal forms of terraced houses of this period. The last part is devoted to the characteristics of terraced housing after 1990. The thesis summarizes the causes of the negative phenomena in suburban locations and shows the transformation of typical terraced houses. It analyses new approaches in urban development of family houses on selected groups. In the context of new concepts, it researches the solutions of public space and types of terraced houses. Finally, the thesis summarizes the transformation of the urban development of the terraced housing from 1945 to the present and proposes the other areas and problems suitable for exploration. The annexed documentary studies of three selected groups from the seventies, which were only partially published. Parts of the appendix are bar charts that evaluate the extent of the family development in individual time periods from 1945 to the present.

Návrh sídelní struktury soudobého města v historickém prostředí. / Design of settlement structure of contemporary city in historical context.

Průšková, Kristýna January 2020 (has links)
The assignment for this thesis was to prepare an architectural plan for barracks in Černé Pole in Brno. As part of the assignment, I attempted to rejuvenate and open up the given territory to the town and to its people and to connect it to the surrounding structures. I expanded the territory in question with adjacent panel construction from the north, as one of the objectives was to gradually incorporate this development in a way so that it does not create a barrier. The second objective was to revive two historical barracks buildings and a panel building dormitory, which serve as a reference for the image of the place. The thesis is split into two parts - analysis and proposal. In the proposal I discuss specific materials, transportation and public spaces. Most of the territory is made up of residential spaces with civil and commercial spaces, which together make the entire area functional. In my proposal I try to show how the entire territory can be solved, with the involvement of the historic and panel buildings, and not just building on an empty brownfield.
