BadPair: a framework for automated software testing

Chang, Chien-Hsing 10 August 2010 (has links)
Testing every possible combination of the input parameter values is often impractical, inefficient or too expensive. One common alternative is pairwise testing where every pairwise combination of the parameter values is tested. Although pairwise testing significantly reduces the number of test cases, the challenge remains in analyzing the test outputs to discern the precise characteristics of parameters causing the failures. This thesis proposes a novel approach to output analysis by identifying “bad pairs”: pairs that always result in failed test cases. A framework implementing the proposed approach is presented together with three case studies. Results from the case studies suggest there are positive relationships among the numbers of failed test cases, faults, and independent bad pairs. Also, filtering of test cases seems to have a significant impact on the bad pairs identified. We believe the proposed approach can facilitate the debugging process in software testing.

Genetics of Resistance to Ascochyta Blight in Lentil

2014 October 1900 (has links)
The aim of this study was to gain insight into the nature of resistance genes and mechanisms of resistance present in different ascochyta blight (AB) resistant genotypes of lentil to efficiently select non-allelic AB resistance genes mediating different mechanisms of resistance for gene pyramiding. Recombinant inbred lines (RILs) from all possible crosses among AB resistant Lens culinaris genotypes CDC Robin, 964a-46, ILL 7537 and ILL 1704 were subjected to allelism tests. Efforts were also made to understand the genetics of resistance in the L. ervoides accession L-01-827A. LR-18, a RIL population from the cross CDC Robin × 964a-46 was subjected to quantitative trait loci (QTL) mapping using a comprehensive genetic linkage map previously developed from polymorphic SNPs, SSRs and phenotypic markers. Results of allelism tests suggested that genes conditioning resistance to ascochyta blight in all lentil genotypes were non-allelic. Two complementary recessive resistance genes in L-01-827A were detected. QTL analysis indicated that CDC Robin and 964a-46 were different at two AB resistance QTLs. Histological tests suggested that cell death inhibition in CDC Robin, and reduced colonization of epidermal cells in 964a-46 might be the mechanisms of resistance in these genotypes. Comparing the expression of key genes in the salicylic acid (SA) and jasmonic acid (JA) signaling pathways of CDC Robin and 964a-46 suggested that the SA pathway was strongly triggered in 964a-46. However, the JA pathway was triggered in both, but at a lower expression level in 964a-46 than in CDC Robin. RNA-seq analysis revealed a number of candidate defense genes differentially expressed among genotypes with hypothetical actions in different layers of the plant defense machinery. The expression levels of the six candidate defense genes measured by quantitative real-time PCR analysis was correlated with those of RNA-seq. In conclusion, 964a-46 and CDC Robin mediated resistance to ascochyta blight through different resistant mechanisms, making them ideal candidates for resistance gene pyramiding. Gene pyramiding can be accelerated using closely linked markers to CDC Robin and 964a-46 resistance genes identified through QTL analysis.

Ščudlová, Jolana January 2010 (has links)
This thesis described mechanical tests with monitoring of camera. The aim of this work is to obtain additional information about material behavior during the test. The mechanical tests were monitored high-definition (HD) digital video-camera and camera with high resolution. The method was applied to the tensile test and Pennsylvania notch test (PENT test). The videorecordings were processed with the assistance image analysis method. The marks were placed on both of these specimens, mutual movement these marks were used to obtain following characteristics. It was Poisson’s ratio and true stress by tensile test. By PENT test it was rate growth crack. The investigated material was elastomeric polyurethane filled by biodegradable polyhydroxybutyrate for tensile test. Second material was polypropylene for PENT test. The camera is adding to the test gives extended information about the material and better interpretation results.

Zkoumání sociální kognice a objektních vztahů u osob se schizofrenií / Assessment of Social Cognition and Object Realtions of Patients with Schizophrenia

Smolová, Alžběta January 2015 (has links)
The thesis examines social cognition and object relations in patients with schizophrenia using Thematic Apperception Test evaluated by SCORS. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with schizophrenia, Thematic Apperception Test and its interpretation systems (especially Westen's SCORS). Attention is also paid to the theoretical background of social cognition and object relations in patients with schizophrenia. The aim of the study is to verify the assumption that patients with schizophrenia will reach pathological scores in SCORS. The study also explores the relationships between different dimensions of SCORS in this clinical population. The results indicate that patients with schizophrenia have numerous deficits in social cognition and object relations, as measured by SCORS. Significantly lower scores (that belong or are very close to pathology) were found in a total of five SCORS's dimensions. In the remaining three dimensions patients with schizophrenia achieved below-average results. Cross-correlations among SCORS's dimensions and factor analysis results which revealed a three component structure of SCORS in patients with schizophrenia are also discussed. Keywords: Schizophrenia, social cognition, object relations, SCORS, Thematic Apperception Test, correlation analysis, factor analysis.

Elektroninės bankininkystės paslaugų taikymas individualiems vartotojams / Internet banking adaptation to personal users

Čimieliūtė, Vaida 23 June 2014 (has links)
Since 1995 banks offer their clients direct access to bank accounts through internet from everywhere in the world. In Lithuania number of internet banking users is growing every year. During 9 months of year 2006, number of users has increased 24 %. More and more traditional banking features are implemented into internet banking and that makes internet banking complex. While the number of users keeps increasing, we have to face more problems too. In 2003 SEB Bankas carried out a research that indicated that one third of people do not use internet banking because they are not ignorant of this service. Beginners usually do not know how to perform basic features while advanced users are not familiar with the entire internet banking opportunities. The goal of this paper is to create an internet banking manual’s model that combines the principles of technical writing and will be adopted for separated user segments. Dual experimental research has been carried out to evaluate the created model.
