[pt] ASSÉDIO MORAL NAS RELAÇÕES DE TRABALHO: ESTUDO COMPARADO BRASIL E ESTADOS UNIDOS DA AMÉRICA / [en] MORAL HARASSMENT IN LABOR RELATIONS: COMPARATIVE STUDY BRAZIL AND UNITED STATES OF AMERICA10 May 2021 (has links)
[en] Moral harassment at workplace is an ever present social issue in the new world of globalized labor, and manifests itself in brazilian and north american contemporary societies, among others. The so called labor world is a privileged locus to ponder the values each society elects, aspires, propagates and prioritizes. In this line of thought, the present research investigates why the relational behavior in the labor worlds of Brazil and the United States has led to an escalating in moral harassment cases, with subsequent rise in judicial demands of compensation for damages caused by this form of violence. The thesis investigates the reasons that lead a worker to morally bully a subordinate or colleague, violating minimal rules of moral human values, in a world (at least theoretically) conscious of human rights and the rejection of any form of discrimination, whether religious, sexual, ethnic, political or ideological. The question on which the reflection is made, therefore, is what is leading to the growing deterioration of interpersonal relations in the brazilian and north-american labor worlds.

Současná americká zahraniční politika ve vztahu k Polsku: vývoj, faktory, tendence / Current U.S. foreign policy towards Poland: key factors, tendencies and developmentsČížková, Tereza January 2013 (has links)
Given the enduring importance of the United States and its superpower status, American foreign policy represents a suitable topic for a detailed analysis. The focusing on Poland and the U.S. foreign policy related to it enables to find factors influencing the process of foreign policy-making and to examine the level of their impact. Selecting Poland can be explained by its great potential and rising importance within European politics as well as the long-lasting partnership between Poland and the United States that has been developed over the years. The characterization of factors influencing the formulation of the U.S. foreign policy enables understanding of tendencies and changes in the U.S. approach towards Poland. Contemporary foreign policy is not solely affected by current developments, but also the historical context and circumstances can have impact on its formulation and current shape. The formation of the American approach towards Poland is not completely isolated from other processes and therefore its final outcome depends on subsequent variables such as general American foreign orientation, the relations with Russia or the course of the general security situation. Dynamic development of events since 2001 shows how these new circumstances can be projected into the shape of foreign policy and...

Zahraniční politika Uzbekistánu (2001-2012): kyvadlová diplomacie mezi USA a Ruskem / Uzbekistan's Foreign Policy (2001-2012): The Pendulum Diplomacy between the US and RussiaLídl, Václav January 2014 (has links)
This diploma thesis deals with the creation of Uzbekistan's foreign policy. It attempts to answer three main research questions: What were the chief goals of Tashkent's foreign policy? What were the factors that influenced the creation of Uzbekistan's foreign policy? Which factors and causes played the decisive role in the case of Uzbekistan's most significant foreign policy turnovers in 2001, 2005 and 2012? It claims the principal aims of Uzbekistan's foreign policy were threefold. Firstly, it was the preservation of Uzbekistan's independence. Secondly, it was the strengthening and securing of Karimov's regime. Finally, it was the attempt to become the regional leader in Central Asia. Subsequently, the study maintains that the foreign policy formulation was altered by four processes or challenges which the regime in Tashkent had to cope with. These were namely the challenge of geopolitical position, establishing of a viable political system, transforming the command economy, and the threat of radical or political Islam. Uzbekistan's pendulum diplomacy between the US and Russia is a new term coined for the purposes of this study. I argue that Tashkent was prone to change abruptly its strategic partner in order to secure its three strategic imperatives. Hence, there occurred three turnovers of...

Diskurzivní analýza vztahů mezi Ruskem a USA / A Discourse Analysis of the Relations between Russia and the United States of AmericaPitoňáková, Andrea January 2015 (has links)
The diploma thesis analyses U.S.-Russian bilateral relationship based on the interpretation of discourses, interviews and speeches of the American and Russian presidents since September 2001 till December 2013. Using Critical Discourse Analysis, and more specifically Membership Categorization Analysis, as a theoretical and methodological basis of the analysis, the thesis categorizes specific periods of the U.S.-Russian bilateral relationship into three categories - positive, neutral and negative. Each category is defined by two basic concepts of the Membership Categorization Analysis - by the collections of positive, neutral and negative categories, which were addressed by the presidents to their counterparts, and by the category-tied predicates related to the particular categories. The final categorization of the U.S.-Russian relations is contrasted with conventional political affairs aiming to highlight the parallels between the categorization changes based on the discourses and the changes in the conventional political context. The diploma thesis offers an alternative view on the U.S.-Russian relations.

Metody legitimizace použité v případech George W. Bushe a Usámy bin Ládina- diskurzívní analýza / Legitimization methods employed by George W. Bush and Osama bin Laden- discourse analysisKlincová, Lucia January 2014 (has links)
This diploma thesis focuses on the legitimization methods in case of George W. Bush's war on terror and Osama bin Laden's terrorist attacks. It takes into consideration the time period from the 9th of September 2001 (the date of the terrorist attacks in New York and Washington D.C.) until the 20th of March 2003 (the beginning of the USA's invasion in Iraq). Using the discourse analysis methodology, the thesis presents the different legitimization approaches, which were used frequently, or not at all. The analysis itself is based on a database of the official statements of the two leaders or their close fellows. The interpretation of these approaches and the analysis of the societal, political, cultural or religious context, highlight the common and different features of these two cases. The aim of this thesis is to argue that despite very different political roles George W. Bush and Osama bin Laden played, their legitimization approaches were, in fact, very similar.

Vývoj ekonomické spolupráce mezi EU a USA od konce studené války / The Developement of Economic Cooperation between EU and USA since the end of the Cold WarPaščenková, Jana January 2014 (has links)
in English This thesis deals with the factors that influence changing intensity of bilateral economic cooperation between EU and USA in the period between 2002 and 2012. The quantitative tests by correlation are made separately for the trade and the financial area of cooperation. The first tested factor was the economic interdependence of EU and USA, which is based on liberal thoughts in international relations. Its positive influence on cooperation that was assumed for this factor was confirmed only in case of the financial area. On the other hand, for the trade sphere the premise was disproved. The second tested factor was formulated based on realism in international relations. It says that decreasing economic standing of EU and USA leads to their increased cooperation. This influence was confirmed both for trade and financial cooperation. The last researched factor was the annual change in the volume of transactions. This factor is based on functionalism, neofunctionalism and communication theory. The assumed positive influence of increased transactions on cooperation was confirmed only in trade dimension. The best factor that can explain the changing bilateral economic cooperation of EU and USA between 2002 and 2012 proved to be the one based on realism - the declining standing of both subjects...
