Polyfunkční dům / Mixed-use building

Diploma thesis is in form of building documentation for construction according to valid regulations. Designed mixed-use building is located in Zlín on plots no. 2865/3, 2865/22, 2865/23 and 2866. Building has shape of letter L, it has three above-ground floors and undergroud garage. Building has three separate parts – part with flats of sizes 3+kk and 4+kk, training centre and community centre. Each part has different number of above-ground floors. New building is detached house with maximum height 10,48 m. Object is constructed with ceramics blocks. It has ventilated facade and flat green roof. Ceiling is designed as cast-in-place reinforced slab. Material for foundations is waterproof concrete. Diploma thesis also includes assessment of thermal technology, acoustic and fire safety.

Diploma thesis deals with design documentation of training centerm determined to services for public. Building is situated in Královéhradecký region, in Náchod, cadastral district Náchod, located on 1150/1, 1151/6 and 1152/1 building plots with 1949 m2 area. Trainig center has three floors. In the first floor there is nursery school and in the second and the third floor there are situated rooms of the training center with administration. Center has wheelchair access and private parking spaces. The building is designed as a brick building with Isover insulation system with ventilated facade. Vertical supporting structure is from KM Beta Sendwix and Spiroll ceiling panels – the horizontal supporting structure. The building has not walkeble flat roof structure. Zhe inclination is performed by thermal insulation at a gradient of 3%. For heating there is designed Schiedel Absolut chimney.

El presente trabajo de investigación ha recopilado diversos factores importantes para la realización de la tesis de título “Centro de Formación y Difusión de Artes Escénicas” a desarrollarse en la ciudad de Ica. Este centro de capacitación y producción artística tendrá como objetivo principal la formación y difusión de los artistas de la zona, creando un lugar adecuado donde puedan desarrollar todas sus habilidades y aptitudes. Los contenidos del expediente han sido estructurados en ocho unidades, desarrollando en cada uno de ellos los aspectos más relevantes para el proceso de diseño. En primer lugar, se analizará la problemática en el lugar y los objetivos a cumplir con la implementación del centro. Como siguiente punto se estudiarán diversos proyectos referenciales sobre la solución de arquitectos ante problemáticas similares en diferentes contextos que sirvan de ejemplo sobre la manera en cómo analizar y afrontar un proyecto de ésta índole. Del mismo modo se analizarán todos los aspectos importantes concernientes a su entorno como accesos, clima, parámetros urbanísticos, crecimiento de la ciudad, entre otros. Un punto importante analizado es la tipología y característica del usuario, concluyendo esta etapa en la programación arquitectónica. En otro punto se estudiarán los materiales y sistemas constructivos, y acabados a utilizar. Por último, se concluirá en unos criterios de diseño obtenidos en base al estudio previo realizado. Con el análisis minucioso se busca entender completamente la problemática para así poder plantear un diseño arquitectónico coherente que resulte un beneficio real para la población a la cual servirá. / This research work has compiled several important factors for the realization of the thesis of title "Center for Training and Dissemination of Performing Arts", developed in the city of Ica. This training and artistic production center will have as its main objective the training and dissemination of artists in the area, creating a suitable place where they can develop all their skills and aptitudes. The contents of the file have been structured in eight units, developing in each of them the most relevant aspects for the design process. First, let's analyze the problem of the place and the objectives to comply with the implementation of the center. As follows, will study several referential projects on the solution of architects to similar problems in different contexts that serve as an example on how to analyze and face a project of this kind. In the same way, all the important aspects concerning its environment will be analyzed, such as access, climate, urban parameters, city growth, among others. An important point analyzed is the typology and characteristic of the user, concluding this stage in the architectural programming. At another point the materials and construction systems will be studied, and finishes to be used. Finally, it will be concluded in some design criteria obtained based on the previous study carried out. The thorough analysis seeks to fully understand the problem in order to propose a coherent architectural design that is a real benefit for the population it will serve. / Tesis

Predecir la demanda de alumnos matriculados en el CCDG para el año 2020

El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como objetivo determinar la cantidad de alumnos matriculados en los diversos programas para el año 2020 dentro del Centro de Capacitación y Desarrollo Global (CCDG), ubicado en la ciudad de Lima; ello, a través del análisis del historial de la data de los años 2018 y 2019. Se ejecutó una investigación predictiva, dado que dicho tipo de investigación tiene como propósito prever o anticipar situaciones futuras, con el fin de tomar buenas decisiones en cuanto a la apertura de vacantes de los diversos programas y diplomados para cubrir la posible demanda de alumnos matriculados y, por otro lado, determinar las variables que permiten captar un mayor número de clientes. La metodología de ciencia de datos aplicada fue la regresión lineal simple; esta es una técnica que ayuda a proyectar el número de alumnos que podrían matricularse en el periodo 2020. Las variables utilizadas para esta técnica fueron la cantidad de alumnos matriculados y el número de meses correspondientes a los dos últimos años analizados. Como resultado, se obtuvo que, posiblemente, se tendrían 3280 alumnos matriculados para el año 2020 en los programas del CCDG, y que la variable más influyente para la atracción son las clases de modalidad virtual; asimismo, los cursos más demandados son la certificación del Organismo Supervisor de las Contrataciones del Estado (OSCE) y los diplomas del Sistema Integrado de Administración Financiera (SIAF). Los medios de contacto más efectivos, y con los que es posible atraer un mayor número de clientes, son la aplicación de WhatsApp y las llamadas telefónicas. / The present research work aims to determine the number of students enrolled in the various programs for the year 2020 within the Global Training and Development Center, located in the city of Lima. This, through the analysis of 2018 and 2019 data history. A predictive research was carried out, since this type of research is intended to foresee or anticipate future situations, in order to make good decisions regarding the opening of vacancies in the various programs and diplomas to cover the possible demand of enrolled students, and, also, to determine the variables that allow a greater customer acquisition. The applied Data Science methodology is simple linear regression, which is a technique that projects the number of students who would enroll in the 2020 period. The variables used for this technique were the number of enrolled students and the number of months corresponding to the last two years analyzed. As a result, there would possibly be 3280 students enrolled by 2020 in the programs offered at the CCDG, and the most influential variable for customer recruitment are virtual classes; also, the most demanded course is OSCE certification and SIAF diplomas. The most effective means of contact, which can attract more clients, are WhatsApp and phone calls. / Trabajo de investigación

The Eugenic Origins of Indiana's Muscatatuck Colony: 1920-2005

Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) / This thesis examines the widely unknown history and origins of Muscatatuck Colony, located in Butlerville, Indiana. The national eugenics movement impacted the United States politically, medically, legally, and socially. While the United States established mental institutions prior to the eugenics movement, many institutions, including ones in Indiana, were founded as eugenic tools to advance the agenda of achieving a “purer” society. Muscatatuck was one such state institution founded during this national movement. I explore various elements that made the national eugenics movement effective, how Indiana helped advance the movement, and how all these elements impacted Muscatatuck’s founding. I investigate the language used to describe people that were considered “mentally inferior,” specifically who the “feeble-minded” were and how Americans were grouped into this category. I research commonly held beliefs by eugenicists of this time-period, eugenic methods implemented, and how these discussions and actions led to the establishment of Muscatatuck in 1920. Muscatatuck Colony, though a byproduct of the national eugenics movement, outlived this scientific effort. Toward the mid and late twentieth century, Muscatatuck leadership executed institutional change to best reflect American society’s evolving thoughts on mental health and how best to treat people with mental disabilities. Muscatatuck Colony reveals a complicated narrative of how best to treat or care for people within these institutions, a complex narrative that many mental institutions share.

The process starts with SLEPTE analysis, customer research and simple financial analysis. The result of previous three analyses is SWOT analysis. SWOT analysis recommends author to continue in the business plan development. Therefore, documents describe more accurate and detailed analyses specialized to computer professional courses in the region of Brno and surrounding cities. Next, it describes company strategy according to the results of analyses. Marketing and financial parts of the strategy are the most stressed ones. The reader is very deeply familiarized with company product and their price policy. The last pages of document present steps required to successfully implement company strategy.

This diploma thesis deals with rainwater harvesting system in the company premises and the design of plumbing system in the newly built training center and storage hall. The new standard EN 16941-1 is described in the teoretical part. This standard deals with the use of rainwater. The experimental part solves the measurement of the non-potable water in this area. In the practical part, the acquired information is applied to the newly built object in the company premises. A project is created in the form of a technical report and drawing documentation for the use of rainwater and plumbing system.

В главе 2 «Опытно-экспериментальная работа по внедрению социально-психологических технологий формирования профессионализма студентов УВЦ УрФУ» дается анализ деятельности УВЦ при УрФУ со студентами, приводятся результаты исследований профессионализма студентов УВЦ УрФУ, а также представлен проект формирования профессионализма УВЦ при УрФУ. В заключении сделан вывод о состоянии подготовки студентов УВЦ при УрФУ и уровне сформированности их профессионализма, дана характеристика использованному комплексу мероприятий, сделан вывод о возможности внедрения разработанного комплекса мероприятий в учебно-воспитательный процесс УВЦ при УрФУ.
