The Impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on Economic Growth – The Case of Selected Arab Countries / The Impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) on Economic Growth – The Case of Selected Arab Countries

Hodrab, Rami Mohammad Awad January 2016 (has links)
Information and communication technology (ICT), population growth, gross capital formation, Openness, labour and inflation are frequently well-thought-out as important drivers of economic growth for all countries, so as for Arab countries in our case. This study aims to examine the effect of these factors on 18 selected Arab countries economic growth, covering the period from 1995 to 2013, with the main interest of the impact of ICT. The results show positive and significant impact of ICT index (infodensity that represents the capital and labour stock of ICT) for each individual country (except for Djibouti with negative ICT index elasticity and UAE with insignificant impact) ranged from 0.10 for Lebanon to 0.469 point for Qatar. The panel regression results show that ICT positively and significantly affect the whole sample of 18 Arab countries economic growth with 0.108 point, as well as GCF ratio with 0.129 impact, in addition to openness which encounters positive and significant impact with 0.054 point, and inflation with negative significant impact. These results are accommodated with many related studies. Population growth is insignificant to economic growth. The 18 Arab countries are divided into three sub groups according to their infodensity levels. The research results show that there is a relatively large gap between first and second groups of high and intermediate infodensity values in one side and the third group (with low infodensity and GDP per capita values) on the other side. In order to verify further the results of positive and significant impact of ICT on economic growth, a second study model that depends on Cobb-Douglas production function is applied with ICT and non-ICT capital services and labour services. This second model is applied on five Arab countries that covers the period from 1993 to 2014 using ARDL method. The regressed results show a long run equilibrium cointegrated relationship between ICT and non-ICT capital services, in addition to labour services and GDP growth. The results tell a positive and significant elasticity of ICT capital services at short and long run, and this value is more than the ICT capital services compensation share, which indicates ICT spillover in these Arab countries. Labour services impact on GDP growth is positive and significant on long run, but for non-ICT capital services, there is a negative and significant impact. So finally it is worth for the Arab countries to invest more and efficiently in ICT assets, in addition these countries have to efficiently use the available ICT resources.

Švarc, Václav January 2017 (has links)
This master‘s thesis deals with the issue of acting freedom and responsibility and consists of chronologically presented experience from school and professional practice. It is complemented by the possibilities of cultivating actor's freedom and, at the same time, it deals with mistakes that do not lead to it. Basic principles crucial for rehearsing and performing comedy are further revealed. The author intersperses practical experience with the positives and negatives of repetitions and compares them with professional literature. The subtext and requirements necessary for a deeper understanding of character's psychology are described as well. Character's actions and the conscious choice of body language are both discussed. Tvorba komediální a dramatické postavy / Creating a comedy and drama charakter

Javořík, Viktor January 2017 (has links)
The present thesis deals with the process of creating a comedy and drama character. The work is built upon comparing the similarities and differences of their creating. It is based on my previous acting experience and knowledge and skills acquired in the course of the training at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts, during the rehearsals or final exams at the Department of Dramatic Theatre, or performances at professional theatres. I believe that I am a comedy actor, therefore I chose a topic which may help me sort out the approach to acting in general, but also realize my own capabilities, skills, obstacles and limits which affect the comedy and drama character creating process. I supported the thesis with specialised literature with which I was acquainted during the studies at university.

Macáková, Karolína January 2016 (has links)
The master thesis deals with the work of the Austrian playwright Werner Schwab, who wrote most of his plays during the first half of the 1990s. Its aim is to provide an analysis of his theatre plays. The thesis pays a special attention to his in the Czech contextwell-known cycle Fäkaliendramen (Fecal plays). Schwab's writing represents a new way of writing, so called post-dramatic theatre plays.  The thesis looks at Schwab's  theatre language by dramaturgically analysing his most renowned theatre plays Die Präsidentinnen, Die Volksvernichtung oder Mein Leber ist sinnlos, Übergewicht, unwichtig: Unform, Mein Hundemund and also Pornogeographie in a critical way, it reflects the author’s innovative approach towards the category of dramatic conflict and dramatic language. ARTE - analýza z hlediska korporátní struktury a přenositelnosti modelu do CEE prostoru / ARTE - Analysis from the perspective of corporate structure and model portability to the CEE region

Novák, Marek January 2017 (has links)
ARTE TV station is a unique project in the area of European audiovisual landscape, in many perspectives, and reflects its basis in many ways. It is an important player in the area of international co-productions, it is a hallmark of European arthouse cinema in the best sense of the word and its participation in audiovisual productions is available also for Czech producers. Therefore I would like to focus and analyse on the ARTE phenomenon, especially on the corporate and functional structure, business model and from historical and political view, followed by a producer's perspective (ARTE participation in co-productions) and end in an essay on the possibilities of transferring the ARTE model into the area of Central/Eastern Europe.
