The goal of this work is to popularize certain sound theory issues (e.g. storytelling, interactivity/immersion, sound/image perspective, semiotics). It deals with the basic sound/image and diegetic/extradiegetic relations, compiling the works of various sound theoreticians. Despite being focused on narrative film, it discusses specific features of four most common semi-narrative genres and gives a hint of sound/image relations in non-narrative and interactive audiovisual media. Apart from the sound/image/diegesis relations, this work briefly explains the synchresis phenomenon and the meaning of tight or loose sound/image synchronicity for tampering with the perspective and perception of the filmic time and space. The appendices contain some information concerning related themes – a short combinatorics column, a column explaining the three basic sound planes, the use of sound as a signifier and a longer quotation of Michel Chion’s article on rendered sound.

In my master diploma thesis, I try to map the current situation and actual trends with respect to creative, financial and production processes. I focus on film, television and other productions. The greatest emphasis is put on the producer?s point of view. The Introduction focuses on the specifics of the animated film and is followed by chapters focusing on the situation in the Czech Republic. In addition to describing the current situation on the scene of animated film I try to explain the use of the principles of animation in other branches of the entertainment industry. In the last part of my thesis, I offer a summary of interviews with producers of contemporary animated feature films. I am interested in the circumstances of the development of the film, ways of working with the script, attitude to new technologies and specific problems related to the realization.

Abstract This thesis deals with an audio-visual interpretation of a musical work. It is an extensive issue because audio-visualisation of music accumulates in itself a range of art disciplines and it works with their resources. The general idea of a development line is captured in the general part of the thesis which is dedicated to music and dance and film as its transformations. The second part of the thesis presents the basic forms of such adaptations and some film music genres with theirs specific features and there are also described some typical and unusual authors' procedures and the functionality of their approach is evaluated from a viewer's-listener's side. The theoretical support for the conclusions presented in the thesis are drawn from available resources and domestic and foreign scientific literature. The conclusions of a general assessment of possibilities and difficulties of audio-visual interpretation are based primarily on the analysis and comparison of musical and visual components in the selected audio-visual works.

This diploma paper is focused on the composition work of composer Václav Kálik (1891-1951) in its choral work. The aim of the presented text is to provide analyses of selected choral compositions and subsequently to highlight the development of his composing activities in his work. Title: Compared creative approaches in creating a dance composition. Goals: The aim of this thesis is to find similarities and differences in the creative approaches of selected Czech and foreign authors of choreographies. Methods: A qualitative research and casuistry as the main research method was selected for this thesis. Namely comparative studies, which together with the survey through semistructured (depth) interview, conducted with selected experts in the field of choreography, compared the two cases among themselves - Czech choreographers with foreign reformers. Results: In the research part of the thesis, based on the literature research and accomplished investigation, there are similarities and differences found in creative approaches of Czech choreographers and foreign reformers. The outcome of the research is a comparative table following the life and work of choreographers in three areas: the entry conditions, the process of creation and creation outputs. Research has found possible functional approaches to dance practice and experience. Keywords: Art, dance, choreography, creation, comparation.

My thesis is about strategy generation and its importance for the company. In the theoretical part, I tried to emphasize the main purpose of the analysis and indicate their strengths and weaknesses. In the practical part, I worked out and evaluated the process of generation Mary Kay strategy. I was not trying to generate a new concept of the strategy, but I tried to figure out why this strategy, which has been unchanged for many years, is so successful.

Thesis deals with conscious management of expressivity on stage. Firstly the author of the thesis name basic issues related to psychical and physical tension during performance, secondly the author defines basic terminology related to tention and jitter. The core of this work is application of knowledge acquired during studies at DAMU, during first experiences of performances in front of audience during studies and also acquired from first experiences from professional environment of theatre and film. The author also analyzes her personal themes related to her own personality as possible obstacles in order to do acting profession.

Cílem práce je odhalit segmenty na českém trhu jogurtů. Práce obsahuje charakteristiku produktu a jednotlivých tržních subjektů. Data jsou zpracována na základě primárních dat (dotazníkové šetření). Práce obsahuje primární analýzu, křížovou a shlukovou analýzu. Výsledkem je charakteristika jednotlivých segmentů včetně marketingového doporučení.

This thesis presents my encounter with Czech piano literature. The first chapter attempts to define the term „piano literature“ and describes the origins of piano literature. The second chapter outlines the history of Czech piano literature. The third and crucial chapter analyses Czech composers whose works I present at my final recital. I compile their personal and artistic circumstances and their significance for the Czech culture, and explain my relationship with their work.
